We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Valley! The location was perfect for what hoped to do for the weekend- the Bear Center, the Wolf Center, hiking and time at the beach. It’s in a quiet setting and we enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife right out the front door. Heather was very prompt and responsive with communication. The layout of this rental worked so well with our toddler too. She had lots of space to play and move around. It is a very maintained unit and we would definitely stay again!

Loved staying “in the woods” and being so close to town!! Wonderful living space lined with windows to view visiting wildlife. Large, well equipped kitchen.

It was a great get away location. Close to different hiking trails and minutes from downtown. Loved the big kitchen. Lots of nature, bear within 50 feet. If we find ourselves back in the area, would stay here again.

We had a two-night stay at this location. I reached out 3 times on the day of our arrival and no response. Then I got VRBO involved and they tried to reach her and no response. Since I paid on 04/05/2026, over a month ago, VBRO refunded my money and I had to find a place to spend the night. Not a good experience since most everything was booked. We did find a place, but it had a loud snorer and a dog, not fun.

First Ely Visit

The unit is extremely nice. Great location a short distance to town, trails and lakes. Our family would recommend this location to anyone visiting the Ely area.

Great cabin apartment with ideal location!

The place felt cozy and was very clean with a great kitchen for cooking! Loved being nestled in the woods with the heart of Ely within walking distance.

Wonderful family getaway

We had a great time and enjoyed all the games to play. The wood stove was a plus to keep us extra cozy while having family time. Thanks for a great place to getaway.

Pictures don’t do it justice! Spacious, peaceful, completely wonderful. I could sit all day and eve in the great room with a fire in the wood burning stove and the spectacular forest view out the windows. Kitchen is terrific. Super location—minutes from town but feels like the middle of the woods. There are 4 units in this building but the building is so well designed it doesn’t seem like anyone else is around. The experience was sooooo easy. (And pro tip if you’re coming from the cities - spend the extra 20 minutes taking the “scenic route” from Two Harbors. You’ll arrive in a fantastic mood!)
