Little paradise

We had a splendid stay in this apartment at Montelaguna. Found the property on HomeAway and really enjoyed the fact that the description was complete and accurate Condo is well decorated, clean and provides everything you need for a perfect vacation. Lori-Ann, the owner, is terrific. She answered all our questions rapidly and provided us with useful insights about Costa Rica. 3 minutes and you have access to two superb beaches. Can you ask for more?

Beau balcon sans ventilateur nous n’avons pu en profiter trop chaud

Le condo est dans un bel immeuble bien situé près de. Deux plages .Le manque d’équipement (pas de chaise de plage) meubles défraîchis inconfortables le plancher de la chambre gondolé fissuré dans un état déplorable,pas de hotte pas de ventilateur dans la cuisine, beau téléviseur tout neuf que l’on a pu utiliser non fonctionnel ce sont des éléments qui ont fait en sorte que l’on a été déçus n’avons pu profiter pleinement.Le wifi et air climatisé étaient par contre bien fonctionnels.

Overall this is a nice condo. The beds are very comfortable. Should have a few new pillows. It was adequately equipped in the kitchen. However it desperately needs new dining room chairs and a new living room sofa. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning having our coffee. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. Luis the property manager was outstanding and a great help. The complex needs a gas grill. We liked to do our own cooking and there was no BBQ. All in all we had a wonderful time in Samara.*

Good home base for our family

We enjoyed our stay in this area. We were able to check in early, & were thankful for the flexibility & responsiveness of the owner. The refrigerator & the wifi were not working when we arrived, but after speaking to the property manager these issues were resolved. A new fridge was delivered the following day & we were able to use a neighbor's wifi, which was important for work purposes while we were here. Sadly, the furniture in the condo is tired: the seats of the dining table chairs are lacking supportive foam so that the frame eventually cuts off circulation in your legs. The other chairs in the living room are better but the fabric is worn & fraying. The sheets on the beds are piling severely. The pillow I used was lumpy. Upon arrival, the dust on the stove & the cobwebs on the kitchen cabinets & in the corners of the rooms/behind the doors made it feel like no one had stayed here for a while. After wiping down the surfaces & sweeping, it felt much better. The floor planks in one of the bedrooms are coming apart, so the room looks like it still needs to be finished. The air conditioning was working in all rooms & was very appreciated. The washing machine/dryer in the unit is very useful as well. Bring your own laundry soap. Although the physical condition of the condo was not as good as expected, it served us well as a home base for exploring this stretch of coastline. Thankfully we had a car for our adventures, so getting to Playa Carillo was easier than walking. Yes, it is technically walking distance, but trekking along the highway in the heat & humidity for about 20mins is not "steps from the beach." The other option for walking to the beach is less time on the highway & then on the unpaved road to the South end of playa Samara--possibly 15mins with slower children in tow. We drove to Playa Barrigona, Camaronal, & Islita. If you have a car I highly recommend these beaches. The pool at this condo is well maintained & very refreshing. As other reviewers mentioned, the property is safe, & being next to the green belt is wonderful. We heard howler monkeys, frogs, saw iguanas & coati. The balcony of this 3rd floor unit is a wonderful feature. The star gazing at night & early morning is phenomenal.

The condo was perfect for us. The pool was so nice with wildlife at your fingertips. The hotel restaurant was very good also. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks

Great Condo, Fantastic owners

We had a very pleasant stay in this very well managed condo, just a few meters from Carrillo and Samara beaches. Very comfortable, all amenities are modern. The owners are flexible and reliable people. Lori-Ann took care of many details for us and answered all our questions as it was our first stay in Costa Rica. I highly recommend this place for vacation.

Véritable havre de paix !

Tout était parfait pour notre séjour ! La propriétaire est très serviable et attentionnée à notre bien-être durant notre séjour au Costa Rica. Le condo est très bien situé par rapport aux différentes plages de Samara et Carillo. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la piscine, qui était toujours propre. Il y a une vue magnifique sur la lagune, où nous pouvons voir plusieurs oiseaux magnifiques. De plus, l'établissement est très sécuritaire et avec l'hôtel/boutique qui est situé à proximité, nous avons à nous inquiéter de rien, les employés sont très serviables et connaissant de la région. C'est un véritable havre de paix, je n'hésite pas à recommander. Nous serons de retour sans aucun doute.

Great condo for a relaxing vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was fresh and modern with all the amenities of home. The area itself was very kid friendly. The affiliated boutique hotel staff and premises were excellent. The condo itself is in a wonderful location. The owner was great to deal with and the management on site we also wonderful

Everything needed for a perfect vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The owner is very collaborative and provides all needed information to help in planning your trip and stay. The complex is safe and well groomed. Pool area is great. Access to beaches is a couple of minutes away also. This condo has all amenities necessary for a perfect vacation. You can't ask for more. We will be back !

Tout était parfait ici

J'ai adoré mon séjour dans ce magnifique condo super bien situé par rapport aux plages de Samara et de Carrillo. Le condo est bien équipé et très confortable. L'accès Internet fonctionne très bien et la vitesse est même supérieur à ce que j'ai à la maison :-) (2 Meg !! ) La piscine est propre et nous en avons profité autant que de la plage. J'ai apprécié la vue que le condo nous procure sur la lagune où l'on peut apercevoir des oiseaux de toutes sortes. La propriétaire Lori-Ann est très serviable et s'occupe de tous les détails pour nous aider à planifier notre séjour. Elle est francophone en plus alors pour moi c'était un atout. Je n'hésite aucunement à recommander cet endroit magnifique à mes amis.

Great place to stay

We stayed at Lori's condo in montelaguna and it was great. Two couples lots of room, nice furniture and kitchen supplies. Great location, close to both Carrillo and Samara beaches, walking 5 mins to both! Pool at condo was great to cool off as well. Manager Georgia was great and extremely helpful too. Met lots of nice people at the condo. Only thing that would make this place better would be a communal bbq perhaps down at the pool area. Too hot to want to cook on your stove would have been great to have a bbq to use. Heard that from other people staying there too. Loved the towns, the people and especially the weather. We will be back. Debbie
