We have been staying here for the last 4-5 years and the house has been perfect every time! We really haven't a single problem. Key pad check-in is easy and check out is a few simple tasks. Views from the deck are awesome all day long! I'm glad we have a truck because the road in is a little rough but that why it's so peaceful!

This was our third trip to the FairPlay area and without doubt the best views from the cabin. We definitely enjoyed our stay! Wish the cabin would’ve been stocked a little better as they only provide one skillet which makes it a little difficult to cook for a family.

This was our first booking and it was an absolutely wonderful stay. The cabin is so spacious and very clean. The location invokes the feeling of an isolated mountain escape without being too far from civilization. We were so comfortable that we canceled one of our day trips just to hang out and relax. Fairplay has most everything you could need if you want to stay close to the cabin. The Snitching Lady is a blast. Try to meet the distiller if you can. He is a treasure. Never thought I would need a hot tub but ended up stargazing from it every night of our stay. Overall this cabin well exceeded our expectations in every way. Already looking into a booking for next year!

This was the third stay for our large family at this cabin, and once again, we loved it. It’s secluded, private, and quiet, and one of our favorite things to do there is sit outside on the wraparound deck during clear evenings, watch the stars, and listen to the forest come alive with the sounds of coyotes and other creatures.The deck is perfect for stargazing, as it’s raised high off the ground and offers unobstructed views of the sky all the way past an adjacent ridge 10 or so miles away. This year, we were fortunate enough to witness the Milky Way in all its glory on multiple evenings.That by itself was enough of a celestial show, but on most nights between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., we were treated to spectacular light shows that weren’t shooting stars, satellites, or airplanes—we’d seen enough of those to know the difference. Although we don’t know exactly what these lights were, there were upwards of a dozen visible at any given time. They were extremely energetic and exciting, flying in various trajectories. Their movements appeared intelligent rather than like a natural phenomenon, and they kept us in awe for hours until sunrise.We had never witnessed anything like it before. It was breathtaking and kept us coming back for more on subsequent evenings. What a treat!For our fourth visit, we’re bringing more warm clothing, blankets, pillows, and a telescope to make it even more comfortable outside while we watch the show!This cabin is awesome and highly recommended!

Beautiful Views

It was a great place for families and a beautiful location in the Colorado mountains. I enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying the snow topped mountains. We really enjoyed it and wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent Property

We just loved the peace & quiet up in the mountains. Home had everything you could possibly need. Very clean & well maintained property. Great host and good communication as well. Would definitely recommend this property!!

We had the perfect week away at the Alpenhaus! The cabin itself was beautiful and equipped with everything we could need. The views were absolutely stunning. The proximity to Fairplay and neighboring cities like Breckenridge (plus several trails) made it a great spot that felt remote but not too far from food/activities should you decide to venture out. The road to the cabin is a bit bumpy and my non-4WD SUV made the trek just fine (even after some snow) but would definitely be safer to have a 4WD in the event of heavier snow. Would definitely visit again!

Amazing getaway!

We all went up for a birthday gathering and it was the perfect place to go! Lots of room, perfect lay out for relaxing any enjoying the scenery. Hot tub was perfect, and lots of sitting room inside.

So glad you all enjoyed your Birthday gathering, you never know what the weather will be like in April. Please come and visit during the summer or fall, there is amazing places to hang out and enjoy the outdoor activities. This mountain home is perfect to get away from the heat, air conditioning is not needed at 11,000 feet.

Wonderful cabin

It was an amazing stay at the cabin. Views were breathtaking and made for a cozy experience with the family. Highly recommend this cabin if you want to relax and enjoy the views. Especially in the hot tub.

Beautiful Home!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Perfect getaway with family. Very secluded (which is exactly what we wanted.j breathtaking views. We had perfect weather, snow and sunshine! Would definitely recommend.
