We truly appreciate your kind words about the location, your five-star rating, and, most importantly, that you enjoyed your time in York enough to plan another stay with us next year. We would absolutely love to welcome you back! We also want to thank you for being candid about the cleanliness concerns you experienced upon arrival. Please never hesitate to bring something like this to our attention during your stay. You are not being ungrateful or difficult by letting us know when something does not feel right. In fact, we want to know so that we have the opportunity to address it for you right away. Our housekeeping teams follow established CDC and StaySafe cleaning and sanitation guidelines, and fresh linens are provided and beds are remade as part of every turnover. We completely understand, however, how finding sand in a bed could make you question whether the linens had been changed, and we are very sorry that this was your first impression. Being so close to the beach, sand certainly has a way of finding itself just about everywhere, but sandy floors and a bed that did not feel freshly prepared are not how we want a guest to arrive at one of our homes. Had we known during your stay, we would have immediately sent a member of our housekeeping team back to the property to inspect the areas of concern, re-clean the floors, and remake the bed with another fresh set of linens so that you could feel completely comfortable and confident in the home. We never want a guest to spend their vacation wondering whether they should say something. Our team is here throughout your stay specifically so that if something was overlooked or simply needs additional attention, we have the opportunity to make it right while you are still here to enjoy the difference. We will also be sharing your feedback directly with the housekeeping team responsible for the turnover so that we can review what may have happened and reinforce our quality-control expectations moving forward. Feedback like yours is genuinely valuable to us because it helps us hold ourselves and our service partners to the standard our guests and homeowners expect. We have also made note of your comments regarding the parking and number of throw pillows, as those details are helpful for us and the homeowners to consider as we continually evaluate the guest experience at Sea Rose. Hi Michele, We're pleased you liked the condo and we sure are glad your boyfriend is OK after his head broke the glass oven door! To address the fees- those are fees Vrbo charges to travelers. We charge an admin fee and a cleaning fee (standard). All travelers must pay lodging tax and Vrbo charged you an extra fee of $285.00. We do not see any percentage of that number. If you were to book direct with an agency , you would immediately save $285.00! The non- refundable damage protection of $59.00 you purchased through Vrbo, sure did come in handy with your booking! The cost to replace the stove was $687.84. Thanks for your feedback!
