Wedding

We were invited to a wedding and had never been to Rhode Island so we decided to rent a VRBO for a week to explore the area. The location was great with easy access to restaurants and was in a nice area to walk our dog. The views from the property were great and it was very relaxing to just sit on the porch and stare at the water.

A well loved comfortable property right on the water with views. A nice new deck and yard.

A beach bungalow with views and a nice back room with big windows overlooking the sea. Beautiful area with restaurants nearby. Pet friendly is a plus we appreciated. A suggestion would be a bigger lobster pot as a soup kettle doesn’t hold 4 lobsters

Perfect stay!

Charing home with a spectacular view

Awesome property!

We were in love the minute we walked into the sun room and saw the view. The water access was key as was the fenced in yard for our dogs. We made wonderful memories!!!!

Island Park Gem

My family had a wonderful week in this lovely vacation home. The cozy Cape was exactly as pictured. Two living spaces gave us room to spread out, as did the deck and patio areas outside, which boast a beautiful view of the cove. We spent all our afternoons out in the shade, enjoying the sea breezes. The fully fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable, with a small beach and restaurants a short stroll away. All in all, a great place.

Enjoyed our stay very much had a great time . Very quite and relaxing whether in the water or sitting on the deck. This place is so relaxing your time will fly by and hate to leave when the time comes . Felt like home from the minute you walk through the door. Quiet serene location.

We stayed in Portsmouth for a wedding 15 minutes away. It was just as the description was listed and more. It’s a beautiful location and wished we could have enjoyed it longer. We will return. The owners Doug and Carol responded quickly to all our questions. Cute fenced in yard for our pup. He loved it too.

Perfect Getaway!

One of the best vacations I’ve had. Watched the sunrise through a picture window in the sauna each morning, kayaking right from the property, supplies available to build a fire and option to switch to a gas fire on the deck. Fantastic views of the moon at night during our trip. Fenced in yard for the dog, walk to a dog friendly beach and restaurants. Quick drive to Newport. Cozy beds and roomy set up inside the house as well. Beautifully decorated inside an out including many enjoyable twinkling lights. We enjoyed grilling and creating lasting memories at this amazing spot. This place is a gem. Thanks to our incredible and informative hosts!

Relaxing Getaway

The deck and back yard overlooking the quiet cove is exactly what we were looking for. No wake boat activity kept the cove quiet. Added bonus in the evening was live music that could be heard, but not too loud, from the Sunset Cove across the water. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in back yard. The house was well stocked, on the small side, but plenty of room for 4 adults and a dog. We didn't spend much time inside other than sleeping. We also did not take advantage of the kayaks, fire pit, sauna and grille that are available along with plenty of seating that overlooks the water. A very pleasant/relaxing environment to enjoy.

Even in February

When you get to the neighborhood you see it’s a densely packed maze of homes and may think, as I did, that there’s no way the house will be secluded enough. Then you arrive and step into the yard and are greeted to a 200+ degree unobstructed view of the water. It’s great. The house is a house. It has everything you need and is comfortable. It’s very much someone’s home but you don’t feel like an intruder. But you stay here for one reason: the view. We spent all of our time either on the deck or in the room directly facing the yard. Being February, we just relaxed and enjoyed the ducks (hundreds of buffleheads and greater scaup) and didn’t spend any time on the water. It was a nice weekend.

View was good, but the house was not.

The house should have been labeled one bedroom downstairs and 2 upstairs for kids. The stairs leading upstairs were winding and very dangerous. With 2 dormers upstairs, it was uncomfortable for adults. I was told that it was a pebbled beach, however all there were was boulders. There was no reason that a second handrail could have been placed on the other side of the wall, thus making it a little safer. All-in-all, we did not feel that we got our monies worth.

Girls Weelend

Great house for a get away with friends. Other than sleeping, we spent all our time on the deck or enclosed front porch so we could enjoy the water views which included a great sunrise. Very clean home and we were able to find everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Great to have the owners check in to see if we needed anything while we were there.

Amazing water views

We spent a week at this home on the water. We enjoyed spending evenings on the deck, as well as sipping our morning coffee on the deck. The views from deck and back room of the home are amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are super soft. Carol and Doug were great to work with and responded to messages very quickly. We recommend this property and if you visit, be sure to take the ferry to Block Island, eat at Constatinos in Federal Hill, eat at Localz in Portsmith, get ice cream at Schulzy's, visit the local tide pools, take a Rail Express ride, and go axe throwing in Fall River. There's so much to do in the area; you'll definitely have fun!

Amazing views of the water

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay. Doug and Carol were so friendly and accommodating. House was a great size for 2 adults and 2 small children. Fenced in yard was key with two little ones. Looking forward to our next stay

We are a married couple with four grown children, one grandchild so far, and love the blue ocean and nature. Doug has his own business restoring roofs, and Carol is a registered nurse.

We love the location and beautiful views. Also having a nice clean ocean to swim, boat, fish, and go clamming in without getting in your car to find and pay for parking is wonderful. It is our happy relaxing place to enjoy and we feel blessed to have been able to purchase it.
