We had a great couple of nights. The view is absolutely amazing and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed both evenings out by the fire pit. Great place to stay

House was as pictured in photos and Kristin was great to work with! When the fog cleared out there were great scenic views from the deck. Fenced back yard was a big plus for us so we could bring our 2 pups. Blue Hill was just 10 mins away with a Hannaford and restaurants. We enjoyed driving into Deer Island and Acadia for hiking. If you visit make sure to stop into PugNuts Ice Cream shop it was one of our favorites. Would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights in early May. We wished we were there for an actual vacation so we could have enjoyed it more. Seven people stayed for a graduation at Maine Maritime Academy, siblings to grandparents, and the location was ideal, only a 35-40 minute drive to the academy, and the house was perfect to accommodate 7 people. We were able to make breakfasts and a large dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everyone was comfortable including our senior dog. Highly recommend.

Anniversary vacation

The check-in process couldn’t have been any easier and Kristian was a very accommodating host. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked with equipment and spices. The view from the deck was beautiful!

We had a great stay at this beautiful home! The home is clean, lots of natural light and great view. The beds are very comfy, kitchen is fully stocked (great gas stove), nice back porch, outdoor fire pit plus excellent communication from the host. We would stay again :)

Daughter's 16th birthday vacation

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is beautiful and the amenities are awesome! Our youngest traveler was 16 and our oldest was almost 80 and everyone was beyond happy with the home. The view was the cherry on top and we will cherish this family trip for a lifetime!

Everything was fantastic about our stay. The house and view were great. Sitting on the deck with time of day appropriate beverage looking at the wonder view was great. Kitchen had everything you'd need. All in all 10 out of 10. Host had fantastic suggestions for restaurants and sites.

“2024 family vacation

We very much enjoyed our stay. House was well equipped, clean, beautiful view, and beds were comfortable which is always important. We all slept well. We made s'mores by the fire pit and made great use of the kitchen. We love family hikes and did a lot of hiking near the Acadia/Bar Harbor area. Thanks for letting us stay at your rental home. SG

Simplify is superb

Everything you could want in a Maine house: amazing views, more than ample living space, fully equipped kitchen (better than our home), cozy and quiet, close to shopping and restaurants, and a ping pong table! Our family loved it. Not only a place to rest and relax, but also a perfect place to entertain. They deserve all the highest of ratings and our strongest recommendations. We would return in a heartbeat!

Yes. This is a 5 star review. Cause of 2 reasons. The property itself, and Kristin our host.Let's start with the property. The view, the view, the view! You looked over a valley and could see where the ocean met Deer Isle in several places. And we had picture perfect sunsets every night except one. (Stupid clouds!)We were 5 adults. My wife and I, our son and wife and our daughter. With 3 bedrooms, it was perfect. The beds are super comfortable. The layout was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked. The basement had loads of games, ping pong, and more! Outside had a fire pit. Wood supplied, good and dry! We roasted hot dogs, made smores, and talked into the night! We spent 2 of our 6 days just enjoying the house!The other 4 days, within driving distance, we saw humpback whales on a tour boat, Acadia National Park, Dorr Museum, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens with the Thomas Dambo Trolls, and so many cool pubs and restaurants to count! So. Much. Seafood. One in particular we HIGHLY recommend is The Maine Lobster Lady. a five minute drive from the house. Sooooo Goood! Was our last meal before we left, we were sad we didn't go 2-3 times!2nd reason - Kristin our host! From the early questions before booking. To the days leading up. To the questions while on property. She was there with the answer and suggestions to make this a perfect vacation. You can't put a price on an owner who cares as much about your vacation as they do about their property! Would book it again!

Beautiful home with beautiful views

From the moment we pulled in we were awed by the beautiful, serene views. Opening the front door, the inside of the house complimented the outdoors (calm, serene and beautiful). The kitchen was wide open and had amazing counter space. The house was stocked with absolutely anything we would have needed. The basement was perfect for our teenage boys, equipped with a ping pong table. The fire pit area was perfect and we used the large driveway area to play yard games. Now about the dogs... We loved that our puppies were so welcomed, with the fenced in area being a great addition to the outside yard. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The host left a detailed note with directions and recommendations. We love this area. Thank you for a great vacation!!

Sarah thank you for your thoughtful review. You recognized and experienced exactly why we rent our home. To live inside a space that has all you need while experiencing the beauty of the natural land. I love that you played so many games and had a chance to experience a campfire (with s'mores). Walking into a clean house is a true value of ours. As is the ability of our dogs to be safe and free to roam in the backyard. Again, I am so thankful for your thoughtful words and so thankful you all had a great vacation!!!

This location was incredible. The views were great - don't miss sunset! You feel a sense of privacy while still being close to cute and classic Maine coastal towns. Kristin was also an incredible host who went out of her way to make our stay great.

What a view!! We came in for a family wedding and found a new hidden gem. Kristen was so fast to respond to any of my questions which made my packing much lighter. The property is spotless and plenty of parking as well as great information left on site for dining. We enjoyed the fire pit, sunsets and found a disc golf course up the road. Thank you for the memorable vacation and breathtaking views.

We loved the house and wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next year....We appreciated the personal touches and how much it was a HOME, not just a rental house. We weren't there long enough to try out the kitchen (except for coffee) -- we are cooks -- but it looked well planned and stocked with everything a cook would need and want.Leslie Graitcerp.s.
