Escape to our charming 2-bedroom cottage in the heart of the Beach Barber Tract in La Jolla. Nestled just a 3-block walk to Windansea Beach, a 10-minute drive from the serene waters of Mission Bay, and a 20-minute drive to The Gaslamp, Little Italy, and the airport. You’ll be perfectly positioned to enjoy all that this coastal paradise and lively San Diego has to offer.

As a traveler favorite, you'll delight in the cozy fireplace, free WiFi, and smart TV for relaxing evenings. Refresh in the soothing hot tub or take advantage of the on-site laundry machine. The fully stocked kitchen is ideal for whipping up delicious meals, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances and utensils.

When you're ready to explore, the University of California San Diego is just a 10-minute drive away, and the lively Pacific Beach and Mission Beach are only 15 minutes from your doorstep. Spend your days soaking up the sun, building sandcastles, or taking a leisurely stroll along the beach and boardwalk. Don't forget to pack your beach gear - we've got you covered with loungers and beach towels.

Back at the cottage, you can relax on the front porch bench, or unwind in the living room, browse the music library and books, or let the little ones enjoy the selection of games and toys. With the whole house fan, heating, access to fitness equipment, comfy backyard furniture, and a BBQ grill, you'll have all the comforts of home during your stay. Enjoy the refreshing outdoor shower/bathroom. Secure parking and a personal safe provide added peace of mind. There are outdoor cameras (front porch, front yard, driveway, side yard, and backyard) for security purposes.

Well located, fully equipped charmer

What a gem! This house and its yard are bright, cozy and turn-key for an escape from your daily grind and a launch pad for exploring the area or just chilling out with a book or a cocktail. We will be back!

Charming stay

Rosemont cottage exceeded all expectations. It is beautifully furnished, well provisioned and in a wonderful location. We found the communication with Angie before and during our stay to be top notch! We highly recommend the property.

Perfect Empty Nester getaway in Windansea!

Such a comfortable, adorable home full of history, character and extra little touches to make our stay perfect! We loved being able to bike and walk anywhere! Great location to watch to sunsets a few streets away at Windansea beach! The beds were comfortable and my husband especially Loved having “his own” private bathroom!

Wonderful stay!

The property was easy to find in the dark, very clean and organized, a very helpful binder with house instructions, welcome wine and snacks, great heating system as it was cold, walkable to a terrific food market, great hot tub at night, extremely quiet neighborhood, and above all a very gracious, caring and communicative owner/host. I would most definitely stay here again while in San Diego!

Summer Getaway

We had an amazing week at Rosemont by the Sea. The beautiful home imbued our vacation with a feeling of luxury. We loved walking in the neighborhood to the local market and daily visits to the beach. The home itself was stocked with everything we could want or need for an incredible vacation. We loved it!

Perfect getaway

Beautiful home in a great area of LaJolla, close to the beach and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Angie was amazing and had stocked the kitchen for us with essentials. Was great to have bikes and a hot tub. Home was clean and neat - would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway

What a great Mother’s Day weekend! Rosemont-by-the-sea is a beautiful beach cottage. We loved. It had the personal touches that made it feel like home. Walking distance to everything. Angie is a fabulous host. She gave us wonderful recommendations for brunch options for Mother’s Day. We can’t wait to go back.

Great prioerty and stay! We appreciated all the extras like the beach equipment. Everything was well detailed with directions ti make it simple Excellent location in cute neighborhood One small thing it was not clear to me that 2nd bath required a trip outside. But it was so well done we didnt mind. Id thike the too listing woujd mention it Iversll a great stay wed stay there again

Perfect getaway

There’s so much to say, from the vintage charm of the house to the bright and modern touches. Even though we live in Los Angeles, we felt like we were on a beach vacation far away. We walked to the beach as well as the 2 different downtown areas of La Jolla. One was trendier with a farmers market and the other was the historic core. We will definitely make this a regular weekend getaway!

Charming cottage

House is beautifully decorated and very well supplied. Adequate linens blankets toiletries and kitchen supplies. Easy walk to the beach. There is NO air conditioning. There is an air cooler which is in no way the same. There is no beach view. The house is a bit musty if the windows remain closed. Cameras around exterior, One directed at backyard and the hot tub. Washer / dryer isn’t great.

Tranquility by the Sea

My friends and I had a little "SDSU reunion" at Rosemont by the Sea. We are 50+ and have been friends since college. Rosemont by the Sea was the PERFECT place to meet up, relax, unwind, and catch up with each other. The place is quiet, comfortable, cozy, and lovely inside and out, and perfect for our group of 4. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. The house is about 3 blocks from the beach, so on our first evening, we wandered down to the ocean, took pictures, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset, then walked down to Isola's in the Village for Happy Hour. We spent the next day shopping in the Village. That night we had a drink at the Whaling Bar in the Valencia Hotel, then a beautiful dinner on the deck at Eddie V's, and then a jacuzzi when we got back home. What a wonderful night! There were some great little additions that were unexpected: There was a "House Book" that had tips on where to go and what to do while in La Jolla, so that made some of our decisions on what to do while there, easy. There were cute makeup face wash cloths provided, shower bombs, and cute monogrammed towels for our use. The owner thought of everything! We enjoyed our stay so much! If you're looking for a girls getaway or a romantic stay in a beautiful seaside town, Rosemont by the Sea is for you!

A fantastic charming and bright bungalow

This property was even better than we expected. It is super cute, cozy and comfortable. Angie has done an amazing job remodeling and updating everything, while maintaining all the vintage architectural details. The location was perfect - close enough to everything (the beach is just a short 5-7 minute walk away), but very quiet and relaxing. Angie was a thoughtful and very communicative host. We will definitely look for every opportunity to stay here again.
