Niman House is a fishermans paradise, river front on the beautiful Juniata River

Breathtaking views of the Juniata River from inside the home or from the two exterior decks. Amazing bird watching opportunities with lots of waterfowl and resident eagles. Our getaway is located along a popular walking/biking road that dead ends at a historic Canal House but continues with a walking path along the Juniata River. This cozy retreat is situated 2 miles from the Arch Rock Road exit off Route 322. Within 1 mile to either the Midway Drive In Theater and flea market or the PA Fish Commission’s MIfflintown boat launch. Located 4 miles to MIfflintown which hosts many dining opportunities, pubs, retail stores and groceries. It’s a mere 7 miles to Lost Creek Golf Course and 8 miles to Port Royal Speedway. For the die hard Nittany Lions fans it’s 42 mile drive to Penn States Beaver Stadium. We have kayaks, rafts, floats and fishing equipment rentals available. (PM for details)

Our second year staying there for 3 nights (Thursday - Saturday). Beautiful property and a very nice house with enough privacy to sit outside at night with a fire, have some beers and listen to music without disturbing the neighbors. Will very likely rent the same house for our annual fishing trip next year! Thank you, Delma!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the fishing cabin! The host was exceptional, warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making our experience truly special. The cabin itself was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This house on the Juniata river is amazing. Host is most helpful. Beautiful deck overlooks the river. Soooo relaxing and the house is immaculate. Great fishing/ kayaking and swimming. Wil definately return.

Great weekend getaway with the Guys!

My wife gifted me with a weekend fishing trip with the guys for an early Father's Day. It was wonderful! The house, the location, the view, the amenities! We might just make this an annual thing. Great host!

Just what we needed..

This house was so peaceful and relaxing. Grandson fished the whole time and lost count of the small mouth bass he caught. Delma was such a great host. Recommended several local places to eat. Everything you would want or need is within 5 miles. We will definitely return to this place.

Great relaxing place to stay.

Our group had a great stay at Niman House. Nice quiet setting overlooking the river, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and on the decks. Would definitely book again.

Gorgeous Riverfront Home

I highly recommend this property! The home was extremely cozy, clean, comfortable, and stocked. We loved the views and the cabin decor. The hot tub and deck areas were perfect for relaxing outdoors. Can't wait to return!

Peaceful

Beautiful property. Relaxing just watching the river. We enjoyed the hot tub, fishing dock, and fully stocked kitchen. The owner was great at communicating everything we needed and it was nice checking in a bit earlier.

Great place!

Great house! Very clean and fantastic view! 5 stars for all categories except accuracy of listing. I gave that 4 stars because it was even better than the pictures! This house was in a perfect location for us visiting family. We will definitely book this house again. Very nice host!
