380 ft av privat och gräsbevuxna Battenkill floden fasad: Detta är en dröm plats för flugfiskare, kajakpaddlare, canoers, cyklister, vandrare, golfare, ryttare. Skidåkare, målare, fotografer, författare kommer att njuta av denna Norman Rockwell by hem. Massan MOCA, Dorset Horse Show, butiker i Manchester, tävlingsspåret i Saratoga, Lake George .... är alla med en kort bilresa. Arlington Village är en 5 minuters promenad bort. Stratton och Bromley skidorter är ca. 12 -16 miles away.
Vermont med Charm, nära till NY och MA gränser, 7 miles till Manchester och dess butiker, restauranger. Nära till Bromley och Stratton skidorter, i ett rekreationsområde. Detta trevligt inredda hem är inte "bara en hyra." Den har mycket karaktär och stil. Det finns inte ett bättre läge på Battenkill: titta på floden, fisk och kajak eller kanot från din egen bakgård, laga mat, njuta av livet på floden.

Köket var en 18th century ett rum hus, var den huvudsakliga kärnan byggdes ca. 1840; vardagsrummet och sovrummet är en 20th century tillägg.
UNIQUE: ca. 100 meter från vattnet! Och packad med mycket roligt, tecken, och ljus!
Äldre, refinished gyllene trägolv i äldre konstruktion, nya skogen (körsbär och ek) dessutom. Helt ny olja värme ugn (mars 2010) och vatten Baseboard radiatorer, två zoner. Vedspis i vardagsrummet.
Övervåningen: 2 sovrum, möjligen 3 (använder Artist Studio 13ft / 13ft). Det stora sovrummet är ca. 13ft / 21ft och har en ny körsbär golv, 3 stora garderober och ett däck med utsikt över floden. Nedre våningen: Office (9ft / 9ft), matsal (12+ fot / 19ft) som vetter mot floden, på kök genom en Bar, på kontoret genom franska dörrar; Stort och ljust Vardagsrum (13ft / 21ft) som vetter mot floden genom ett däck .... En bad och en tvättstuga / grovkök har eget badrum i kök. Två verandor och ett däck inför floden, kor och hästar, och byn ...
Dessutom: Hus: ca. 1,700sq. fötter, bara Tomt: 0. 48 tunnland, men 380 fot av vattnet och den öppna
gräsmatta ser enorm och stora. Mittemot Recreational Park: Public tennis, golf, ishall, basketplan, hälsa spår, pool ...

Perfect Romantic Getaway on the River

The home was gorgeous and was very comfortable. It felt like a secluded spot away from a beautiful little town. There was even seating by the river that provided a beautiful spot to drink coffee each morning. It was just the experience my fiancé and I were looking for!

Lots of space in a lovely waterfront setting

We enjoyed being right on the Battenkill River, which offered a private fishing spot on the area’s premier stream. The location was great as a base camp for a fall leaf-peeping excursion, with Mount Equinox just 10 minutes away and the 100-mile overlook on Hogback Mountain within an hour’s scenic drive. The views from both were stunning. The rental has a charming mix of antique furniture, with several large rooms downstairs for guests to congregate, watch TV, or read a book in a quiet nook. The rental was chilly when we arrived but warmed up nicely once we figured out how to make the downstairs thermostat work. (It required reseating the batteries.) Our host, Brigitte, provided helpful information and responded quickly to text messages. She also left us a nice bottle of Prosecco. Our only disappointment was with the futon offered as the third bedroom. We’ve slept on futons that were a comfortable substitute for a bed; unfortunately, this one — lacking a frame and just laying on the floor — was not. Aside from that, our stay was quite pleasant.

Fisherman's Retreat

This home sits on a beautiful spot along the Battenkill river and offers over 300 feet of river frontage. Accessing the river couldn't have been any easier! The water was low during our stay, and the trout weren't biting, but the weather was beautiful, the house comfortable, and our host, Brigitte, was just wonderful! We especially enjoyed the view from the primary bedroom overlooking the property and the river. The home is also very conveniently located for exploring southern Vermont, and Brigitte had so many ideas, options and suggestions of local activities and sights, as well as recommendations for restaurants and shopping.

Location, location, location

This property is nestled right on the Battenkill, which is exactly where we wanted to be. We bought tubes and tube down the river. The house was plenty big for the four of us. It was stocked with everything we needed, Including laundry.

Charming home on Battenkill

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming home. As an old home, it had a lot of character. The art and decor complemented the home's quaintness. The home was well-equipped and it was clear that Brigitte is a traveler herself as she provided many thoughtful tips and hints for guests. The weather was uncharacteristically warm, which made the first floor a bit uncomfortable, but the MBR was fine with the AC. The outdoor space was lovely, including the porch that overlooked the Battenkill. It truly is in the backyard, and our dog Molly learned how to swim, which was fun. Fishing was challenging but good in the early hours of the day before it became too warm.

Relaxing

Perfect VT River Hideaway

We had a brilliant stay in this delightful VT farmhouse, which is completely up to date, and absolutely stunning. Super clean, fantastic decor, great and everything needed-in-kitchen, even a washer/dryer! Brigitte is quick to respond and delightful. Nestled on the Battenkill River

Bridgette was a wonderful host, the house was very spacious for our family, very beautiful lush outside overlooking the BattenKill River, very private setting. We had a wonderful time and I would rent again. Just a few things i would like to share, in summer its hot, it maybe helpful to have extra fans downstairs, the downstairs was hot, but we bought fans and it cooled it off nicely, also it would be helpful in the bathrooms to have toilet cleaner, for toilets, and some exta toiletries, toilet paper, shampoo ext. but those were very minor things, Thank you Bridgette we had a wonderful time

Charming Vermont country house

We had a wonderful week in Southern Vermont. Brigitte's house had plenty of space for our family of 4 and our dog. The yard on the Battenkill river was amazing, we used the 2 kayaks all week. And even when the weather was not optimal, we stayed on the nice covered porch. Brigite was very easy to work with. Would definitely return.
