This is the place to stay in west glacier! Absolutely stunning views with a boathouse on the lake to enjoy your morning coffee. Location is perfect and flying into kalispell was a breeze. Can not recommend this place enough

Beautiful cabin. Amazing view of Lake McDonald. Great location inside the park to avoid daily traffic entering the gate - saved a ton of time. Kitchen is well-stocked so we were able to buy groceries in town on our way to the park and make dinners at the cabin instead of going out. Thank you for an amazing vacation! We made so many great memories!

Host was thorough and clear with instructions, left many recommendations and historical insight into the cabin, and welcomed any and all feedback we had about the place (the downsides were few and very minor -- the property was amazing). Thank you again!!

Couldn’t have had a better location. Would have been nice to have information on the use of the portable dishwasher so I didn’t have to bother the host. Also, the windows upstairs were a bit cloudy, which impacted the view from that room. Overall hard to complain when you’re in such a beautiful park.

We've stayed at the cabin 4-5 times over the last 4 years and have always enjoyed our time. For whatever reason this year, the local host/watchdog was consistently in/out of the property and was pretty rude. The neighbors to the property are great and we've grown to be friends with some of them over the years and the don't know why the local host was behaving that way. Over that same time, the cost of the cabin has also gone up drastically 50-60% and the swimmer's itch on the beach in front of the cabin has gotten pretty bad. One of our kids ended up in the ER due to swimmer's itch on our first day. Given those factors, it'll unfortunately be a while before we're back. My wife grew up at a cabin for all of her childhood a few cabins down from this one and it's unfortunate our experience this year wasn't great.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re truly sorry this year’s stay wasn’t the experience you’ve enjoyed in the past. We especially regret that your child ended up in the ER and understand how upsetting that must have been. We also apologize if our local host’s presence came across as rude or intrusive. There was an issue this year with more than 10 additional people swimming at the property, even though the cabin is limited to authorized guests only, and our host was trying to address that situation. We’re sorry that this affected your stay. We’ve always appreciated having you return over the years, especially given your family’s connection to the area. We hope you’ll consider coming back someday, and we wish your family all the best.

Best day in Glacier ever! I don't want the secret to get out about how wonderful this place is it is cozy. It is comfortable. It is perfectly situated and it has spoiled me that it's the only place I want to stay when we come to Glacier.

We had an incredible time and are so thankful for this unique opportunity to stay in a cabin on Lake McDonald. Char and Celestine were great to work with and answered all our questions. The house had all necessities and then some. The views, tranquility and location are just perfect. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful place and access to the park

Stayed here with my wife and almost 2 year old daughter as well as family friends with two more kids of 5 and 3 years old. Everything was wonderful; the lake, the cabin, easy access to the park, and walking distance to a small shop and a couple restaurants. It was a surprisingly smooth trip with three little kids. Thank you to the owners for sharing your place and being so helpful!

Incredible place and being able to stay in the park is such a giant plus if you are a hiker. Everything in the cabin works and communication with Char was great.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip!

We had to very lucky chance to stay inside GNP in this cozy cabin right on Lake McDonald. It was absolutely wonderful. We did all kinds of hiking, enjoyed the deck and views, and loved the proximity to Lake McDonald Lodge. Char was an excellent host. We have nothing but good things to say. Thanks to the host for sharing this special place!

LakeMcdonald Cabin

The Cabin's location is amazing with views of LakeMcdonald that do not dissapoint and easy access that all that Glacier has to offer. Lots of fun with family and friends over the two week stay. Char was great to work with and very responsive. A Great vacation!

Great Location on Lake McDonald

We LOVED being able to sit on the deck and enjoy our view of Lake McDonald! Being inside the park is a big plus - we had a head start on the crowds as we started our adventure each day. Char was excellent in responding to us and information provided in the cabin was helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this rustic cabin

Vicki was a wonderful guest. She left the cabin clean and went above and beyond to make it easy for the cleaners. There was an error in posting 4 stars for cleanliness which should definitely have been 5. Vicki was thoughtful, communicative, and an outstanding guest.

This is my fourth visit in two years.

The Cabin, and Glacier National Park, feels like home. From the location and amenities to the charming, warm, and homey feel of the Cabin, it just feels like it can't get any better (except the slow wifi - i work when i travel and need wifi).

Fantastic location on Lake McDonald!

Charlene was great to work with! We had our own designated parking spot for the week which was great for loading and unloading the vehicle. We were completely smitten with the lovely views of the lake from our large bedroom windows. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. It was such a relaxing stay!

Perfect Location

The location of this cabin can’t be beat. Being inside the park and not needing a vehicle reservation or having to wait in line to get in the park was really great. It was very convenient being able to walk to the lodge, camp store, horse stable, and shuttle stop. The views from inside the cabin and on the deck almost feel unreal, and we were so thankful to have our own private place to hang out right on Lake McDonald.

Beautiful home on Lake McDonald **Excellent location**

This property was the perfect location for our family to use as a home base for Glacier National Park. The only only con for us is that the bedroom with 2 single beds in it is actually a sun room turned into bedroom. Char was the perfect host! Communication was top notch! I would 100% stay here again! said, I would 100% stay here again, again, and again.
