Gracious-Accessible Apt in Ideal Location
We are honoured to introduce our latest and 5th apartment (2023), especially designed to offer comfort as well as accessibility, so much needed in Athenian short-term rentals, for leisure or business trips.
The apartment:
We are happy to inform prospective guests that the apartment fully complies with accessibility standards, served by an elevator and accessed from the street without stairs.
It was carefully designed to offer convenience and comfort to any traveler with or without disability needs. It offers a spacious bedroom and convenient closet, a fully accessible bathroom, a living space with sofa bed, a second full bathroom and kitchen bench. A cute little green rooftop planted with care embraces one's relaxing time in the bedroom.
The building:
Note - The building's entrance and elevator doors are wide enough for wheelchairs but not automatic. Travelers with mobility needs may need to be accompanied just for these two doors. We are pleased to have our office located at the ground floor next to the building entrance to offer assistance, tips and ideas to any visitor.
More about our effort:
Unlike most of the newest constructions in Athens, we have invested in renewable resources for the entire building : Geothermal energy, recently replaced by heat pumps and solar energy. Our aim is to guarantee an absolute heating and cooling effect with full autonomy per apartment, through an under-floor system (for long-term stays) and fan coils in every room for full autonomy per bedroom, plus hot running water at all hours, and the heating of the swimming pool at the building's rooftop (exclusively offered to guests of the A.U.R.A. Penthouse).
Visitors’ comments for all A.U.R.A. properties primarily focus on three major advantages: Quality accommodation, ideal location and a hospitable host/owner, supported by an admirable team.

Other things to note:
• Parking is offered on the premises, upon request and based on availability.
• The booking rate is for two guests. There is an extra charge of 40€ per guest per night. Prospective guests are requested to include the final number of guests in their inquiry.
• New taxes were introduced in Greece recently, for all reservations made after 01.01.2024. As a result the total booking price is affected. More specifically;
• A 13% V.A.T. is added to the booking price.
• A Transient Occupancy Tax (0.5%) is included in the booking price.
• A Climate Crisis Resilience Fee (0.50€ or 1.50€ / per night depending on the season), is required to be paid at the end of the stay. - As per January 1st, 2025 the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee is modified from 0.50€ to 2€ and from 1.50€ to 8€ and is included in the total booking price for all reservations made after December 1st, 2024.
• The apartment fits up to five visitors by adding an extra single bed in the bedroom and having two people in the sofa bed. For preferred bedding accommodation please refer to the following name codes: Keramus for the living room (sofa bed) and Lithos for the bedroom (accessible) - Set as king size, or two single beds or three single beds.
• Quiet hours prevail in Greece by law between 14:30-17:30 and 22:00-07:30 which all citizens need to respect. By booking this property guests are confirming that they are aware of the house rules and agree to respect them.

As the owner and host, I personally welcome visitors to ensure every guest receives tips which turn a visit into an experience and a plain check-in, far beyond the provision of accurate information, into a hospitable welcome. If important commitments do not allow me to be physically present, a reliable and smiling assistant would be replacing me.
During the stay, further assistance or smart tips may gladly be offered distantly and in our office found at the ground floor, or just the most fulfilling smiles at the end of the stay.

The apartment's location is probably the best in Athens.
The neighborhood is Thission, a residential area, the most appealing of all for visitors as much as for Athenians, in the heart of the historic centre.
It combines the characteristics of the mid-19th century through the neoclassical residencies which are being continuously renovated, with the proximity to the most important archaeological sites through pedestrian streets and some of the most beautiful walks in any European capital.
It also offers several ultra-hip surrounding areas to eat, shop and walk around.
A large choice of cafes, traditional taverns and restaurants as well as local craft or fashion shops, offer visitors the option to spend time in the neighborhood if they please to acquire the inside knowledge of Athens!
The A.U.R.A. Gracious - Accessible Apartment, is a 10-15 minutes’ walk to the most important attractions but outside the touristy mass or city noise so even myself, although the owner, am often still taken by surprise by neighborhood’s serenity.

Guests have helped us understand their needs as family members, as group friends or business travelers with or without disability requirements.
Moreover, the specific apartment invites guests to discover the Athenian local neighborhood atmosphere as it is located in one of the cutest tree-lined pedestrian streets of the historical centre that Athenians love exploring during their relaxing hours. We like to believe that the outcome of our new creation will do justice to all guests.
