Det perfekta huset vid foten av Akropolis.

Det Àr en rymlig och mysig lÀgenhet pÄ 63 kvadratmeter perfekt belÀget nÀra Akropolis i det trevliga kvarteret Thiseio. Utsikten frÄn taket (tvÄ vÄningar upp av smÄ, typiska bakre trappor) Àr spektakulÀr. GÀsterna kan njuta av integriteten i hela lÀgenheten som jag alltid ser till att vara ren och snygg. Platsen kunde inte vara bÀttre. Inom ett halvt kvarter befinner du dig pÄ en 10 minuters gÄngvÀg till Akropolis och andra arkeologiska attraktioner i nÀrheten. Naturligtvis finns det i ett sÄdant omrÄde gott om matplatser och kaféer. Men inte sÄ vanligt Àr den moderna livsmedelsbutiken i god storlek bara nÄgra kvarter ner pÄ samma gata. PÄ samma gata finns det en frisersalong, elektronikaffÀr, nÀrbutik, frisör med mera - det Àr ett omrÄde inte bara för turister utan för mÀnniskor som bor hÀr pÄ heltid. Tunnelbanestationen ligger bara 2 minuter bort sÄ att du kan anvÀnda tÄget för att utforska Aten. NÀr som helst i vÄr hand kommer vi gÀrna att erbjuda en tidigare incheckning eller senare utcheckning.

The balcony was scenic although stairs up tricky. Emergency exit. We didnt need tge air conditioning but it was there if we needed it. Irene was a great friendly host.

Location was great, but the rooftop was a disappointment

We chose this property because of the location and the neighborhood. In addition, we chose the property because of the description of the rooftop view of the acropolis. However, in the description, it did not state that the metal staircase to get to the rooftop was three stories, long, very narrow. My husband is 6 foot tall and in excellent shape, but had a very difficult time maneuvering the winding, narrow staircase. We did not ever go to the top to view the acropolis because if this , but instead went to neighboring restaurants with a rooftop view. Don’t book this place for the rooftop view.

Great Stay

Check in was awesome, Irene was able to meet me and show me the apartment and hand me the keys. The apartment was immaculate and well appointed with everything I would need. The rooftop view of the Parthenon is unbeatable. The neighborhood is great! Plenty of restaurants, bakeries, markets abd more. It’s a five minute walk to Thiseio Station. Quick walks to Ancient Agora and to Philopappos Hill for great views and some interesting sights. Amazing apartment in a great neighborhood with quick access to all of Athens.

Location, location, location

This apartment was lovely and in the perfect location to see all the amazing sights in Athens. Irene is a gem - she met us upon arrival, had many great recommendations of places to visit and eat, and was very easy to get a hold of. Her apartment is a delight. We had access to a rooftop patio, as well as two other outdoor patios where we spent time reading or enjoying drinks. The location is very close to everything - we were able to take breaks at the apartment in between exploring the city. The air conditioning is wonderful - it was very hot when we were there but we were very comfortable. I would strongly recommend and I would book this location again when visiting Athens.

Best place to stay in Athens

Irini was a wonderful Host. She met us early and helped us get in and showed us around the apartment and explained the unique things there. She told us where shopping and best restaurants were. The Acropolis is view able from the rooftop. The people on the street and in the businesses were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful "neighborhood" feeling

It really is an Ideal house at the foot of the Acropolis

Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to all the sights. Irene was very nice. She provided us beach towels for our visit to Lake Vouliagmeni (otherwise very expensive to rent towels at lake). We arrived several hours early of checkin time so she graciously let us leave our luggage while she finished preparing home. She gave us the keys and a tour of the home and restaurant recommendations. We went to lunch as she finished prepping and we returned at 230 pm and went straight in to a beautiful “homey” home that was clean and ready for our stay. After a day of touring we came home, turned on the AC. As the house cooled down ( which it did relatively quickly) we climbed up the stairs and enjoyed an amazing view of the acropolis with cooling breezes. This is a hidden gem of a place to stay in Athens. If/when I return to Athens I hope Irenes place is still available to rent. (If you like cats, the cafe down the block is cute

We spent hours happily exploring the area on foot, with incredible sights and experiences around every corner.Irene was an exceptional host – very responsive and incredibly helpful from booking to checkout. My name is Irene and i am a photographer. My spare time I really like to read a good book and in summer i love to make long walks. A walk on Philopappou Hill is my favorite route. My favorite time of the day ... is late in the evening. When everyone in the house has been asleep and the city has plummeted. It's time to enjoy my drink on the terrace and plan the next day or not !
My decision to host people from other countries in my home came effortlessly. It seemed very interesting to me to meet people with other cultures, other interests than usual.

My apartment is located at the foot of Acropolis Hill, walking distance to all ancient sights, parks, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining spots. The center of the city, (Syntagma square, Ermou street, National Garden, etc) are easily accessible either by foot or by metro.
