Tropical Paradise

The condo was just as advertised and was beautiful, with a lovely ocean view. The Kaha Lani complex has never disappointed. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool is great. This was the fourth condo we have rented here, and if/when we return, we’ll try to get 114 again.

Mind clearing, relaxing stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my 4th time on the island, 3rd time staying at this property. The property and unit were just as pristine and well kept as the first time I stayed there in 1998 then in 2011 for my wife and my honeymoon. We've done the tourist thing in the past, but this time we decided to just kick back and relax, and that's what we did for 8 whole days! This unit was the best so far, everything was as described, beautifully kept, short walk to the beach, awesome pool and i love how there are 2 BBQ grills in the pool area so you can take a dip while grilling. The property is off the beaten path so theres not alot of foot traffic so you feel isolated from all the commotion of tourism, but still close to shops, restaurants, bars, farmers markets etc... in all directions. We went to Costco and stocked up on beer and food and cooked alot at the condo for breakfast and dinner. We hung out on the lanai about 80% of the time drying off from swimming and just enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. We had, and I would highly suggest, a pair of water shoes for the rocks in the ocean. To sum up, everything was perfect and one of the best, relaxing vacations we've ever had. Mahalo Garden Island Properties, we'll definitely be back!

Secluded Paradise

We really enjoyed our stay as this place was very secluded and close to the beach. We were able to walk to the beach area to snorkel and life guard was near (for us beginners) but a close drive to the town.

Fall vacation

The only complaint I have is there is no air conditioning. Other than that it was amazing! Beautiful grounds & a very helpful friendly staff. We will definitely be back to Kauai!

Perfect

This 1-bedroom 2-bathroom w shared shower condo was perfect for my husband and me plus my sister. She slept on the sofa bed that was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and most utensils that we needed. We didn’t need AC during our Xmas holiday stay. The ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom was adequate. It was awesome to be able to simply walk out the ocean facing doors and walk along the beach. The swimming pool was clean and thankfully it was heated. Parking was conveniently right in front of the condo. WiFi and Netflix service was available. We highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again.

Serene Getaway

The condo was just like the photos—comfortable and well appointed—but it was the location that stole the show. Looking out at the ocean from our patio was a dream. The pool was lovely, and when we walked down to the beach, we often had it to ourselves. Also, the rental company was accommodating and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved this place

This property was well stocked, clean and comfy. It's a 5 min walk to the swimming area of lydgate. The view can't be beat. The grills are immaculate and so are the grounds. The location is great for going to the north or south beaches. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Views and centrally located

Property was just as advertised. Centrally Located. Beautiful sunrises every morning. Did not have A/C but really didn’t need it much. Plenty of fans. No need for alarms, the roosters take care of that for you! :) Many restaurants a few miles away. Ocean was too rough to swim in, which was a bummer, but Lydgate Beach was nearby and very safe. Wished for a few more washcloths. Only two for the whole stay. Did not want to do laundry. Brought enough clothes with us. Would stay here again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

Fantastic Location

The property is surrounded by parks, a golf course and the ocean. It’s beautiful and quiet and has easy access to the beach. It was very well equipped. Everything needed to cook or grill out was in the unit but there were good restaurants nearby as well. Ongoing road construction to the north of the property made return trips from the North points on Kauai a lot longer. We will definitely return.

Simply Wonderful

Kaha Lani exceeded our expectations. Awesome clean and quiet. Ground level on ocean side is a must. This property sits back off Kuhio HWY and is absolutely quiet aside from the early morning roosters. On-site laundry is super clean and takes cards. Security on site also. Very well maintained grounds. *one gripe. Single ply Costco toilet paper. We travel a lot and always bring our own. THANKS

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was in a great location and place was pretty clean and nice. It did get a little warm at times and an AC would have been nice. The wifi and connection was very erratic and didn't always work. The TV connection never worked. Wasn't able to watch TV and had to connect a cord ourselves to get the DVD player to work. The walk to the beach was nice but wasn't really a beach you can lay out on. All of the extra beach towels, snorkels, boogie borards, umbrellas were a nice touch and really enjoyed!

Needs to be cleaned better

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time in Kauai however the condo we rented needed to be cleaned better you asked us to remove our shoes which we did and the floor were so dirty you looked at feet a few minutes later and they were black also the ceiling fan in the bedroom didn't work adequately we went and bought a fan to use in the bedroom which we spent $40.00 of our own money and left the fan there in the closet just so we could sleep in the bedroom it was very hot without the fan blowing directly on you. Not even towels or wash clothes for a week without service to the room. So we were disappointed with the condo we rented at the Kaha Lani Resort #114. The grounds at Kaha Lani we very clean.

Comfortable and beautiful

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for five days as a family of four and found it very comfortable and the views were beyond beautiful. There is no ac in the unit and we stayed in August so it was warm, but with well positioned fans and the ocean breezes, we were quite happy. (That said, I don't think I'd choose to travel to Hawaii in August again.) The property is beautiful and it's nicely located with an easy trail for walking. It's not close enough to a grocery store to walk for supplies though, so one really needs a rental car. Unfortunately at the end of the trip, I tested positive for Covid just before we were due to fly out. (No one else in the family caught it - which I credit to the open windows and fans.) My one complaint is that the property management company was singularly unhelpful in helping me find another place to quarantine. I understood that I needed to vacate the unit on time and I did, but they did not help me to book another unit on the property (but I finally did this myself using another company) and then they didn't offer me any place to be between the hard-line checkout time on my current unit and the hardline checkin time on my new unit. I ended up sitting by the pool with all of my luggage, a fever, and a cough for five hours. It was fairly miserable, but once I was checked into my new unit, it was all lovely again and I was able to rest and recover.

Wonderful stay in Kauai

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here for 1 week for a little family vacation. We found the property/amenities exactly what the description info provided. The unit had everything we needed and the management company was very responsive when we had a question. Everything seemed to be clean and in excellent shape. The location was conveniently located near airport, equal distance to both the south and north parts of the island. It is also very close to the coconut shopping center. Something to be aware of that we didn’t look into is road construction going on, heading north. It was always a quick drive north but it took an extra 20min everyday coming back due to the stop and go traffic. We also didn’t know that the property is located near a small camping spot which seemed to attract occasional sketchy folks heading along the roadside as you make the turns into the property complex. We never felt unsafe or really noticed much, but we’d recommend heading north if you ever take walks on the paved path located along the shoreline. We were fully aware that there was no AC and multiple fans were provided, but it still took some time getting used to the humidity/heat during our stay since we are not used to it. The fan noise also took a bit getting used to. Overall it was a wonderful stay/experience. Only other critique we had was the slightly confusing instructions regarding parking pass. The emailed instructions suggested that we could print out a pass at the property office there, but we found that a pass was already waiting in the unit and if known we didn’t need to bother the property office located there even though they refused to print anything for us anyways. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
