Cozy and clean waterfront home on Raber Bay. Enjoy the view from the large living room windows, front deck or lawn. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, boating, birdwatching and more in a peaceful setting. The shoreline is a mixture of rocks, sand and clay. Water shoes are recommended.
The home is a single level home requiring 3 steps to enter the home. The home has a wood burning fireplace and a large laundry room. A fish cleaning shack is located on the property.
This amazing getaway is positioned at the end of a short, private road. The driveway is circular and there is ample parking for vehicles and trailers. The home is conveniently located between the 2 public boat launches in Raber. A private boat launch is just down the road for a minimal fee.
The home is equipped with WiFi and a smart TV in the living room. A mini split air conditioning unit cools the main living areas of the home. Each bedroom has a fan for your comfort.
***During the winter, Raber Bay can be accessed from the property by snowmobile, cross country skis or snowshoes.
During warmer months (when the ice is gone!), a dock is on site for your small fishing boat. 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards are available for guests to explore the nearby island, shore line and bay. An outdoor firepit is available for guests to enjoy. Firewood is provided for guests.
Drummond Island, Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace are all within an hour drive from the home.
**We allow a well behaved dog with a $100 pet fee**

Everything needed for a relaxing weekend

Relaxing location with everything you will need for a family vacation. Enjoyed kayaking on the water, a campfire at night and watching the freighters on the lake. The property is fully stocked and clean and comfortable.

Fall getaway

This was the perfect place for a fall get away. We enjoyed relaxing and watching the water. The house met all of our needs with plenty of space for our family, and was stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Winter Get Away

I love the house, the host, and the nearby area. We come here every year during Christmas to see winter and watch the ships going up and down the St. Mary's River. While you can see the ships, they're further away and off at an Eastern angle than we would like. However, a bonus we partook in was a trail that leads from the driveway and goes South through the woods along the coast that we snowshoed several times. Even with the mediocre view of the ships, I would happily come up here again in the winter.

The view of Lake Huron from the windows, back porch, and back yard can't be beat. So relaxing to just sit in one of the many chairs provided and watch the water while listening to the birds. We had a lot of fun kayaking and paddle boarding. Plus, plenty of firewood is provided to have smores every night. I highly reccomend a stay here for those who want to get off the beaten path.

My idea of heaven!

This property is absolutely wonderful! So peaceful and calm. Had everything we needed! The pictures do not do it justice. We cancelled day trips just so that we could stay there. Wish we could have stayed longer. If it is ever possible for us, I would love to return. Easy rental and great communication!

Wonderful, private getaway!

This property is well-kept, up to date, and secluded! Great for bird watching! Great beds and bathrooms! Kitchen and outside grill are marvelous! Glorious views! The privacy and quiet is wonderful!! The only negative thing is a neighbor's shop that can be loud. But, you can't see it! And only during the day. We love this home and are thankful for it being shared with vacationers!

Worth Every Penny!

Our stay at Raber Bay was nothing short of amazing. The property exceeded our expectations in just about every way possible. Clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating options, quiet with an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking views. Communication with Don and Missy was also top-notch. Our only regret is we didn’t book more time. We’d love to come back next year if we’re lucky enough… I can see this place getting booked up in no time!

Home away from home.

My stay was with my wife and daughter. My family loved the home. It was immaculate. I have never experienced a home with everything supplied, such as toiletries, games, bedding, and all cleaning accessories. The home was so clean and comfortable. The home was warm and cozy on our arrival. It was like you were going to your own home. It was very well prepped for our late fall stay. The view out of the picture window of the freighters and surrounding islands and bays was priceless. I highly recommend this beautiful home and quiet surroundings. I will return again.

Peaceful days on the bay

I love this place! A friend and I stayed for only two nights, but we would have loved to stay longer! It unfortunately rained the entire time we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the kayaks on the bay, but the house was so thoughtfully stocked with cooking utensils, games and puzzles that we had everything we needed to enjoy our time, despite the weather. The view of the bay is incredible! There was a bit of an issue with the internet connection, but the host was very helpful. The only suggestion would be if there is any way to better control ants (we ran into quite a few in the kitchen) and other bugs - but, given the location of the house, it is somewhat to be expected. I definitely hope to be back!

The Ideal Spot

I have been coming to this same area of Raber Bay off and on for over 25 years and have rarely stayed at the same place twice. This was by far our best experience. The hosts were extremely accommodating and punctual with responding to any question. The home (including the private dock and yard) is very spacious, well thought out with all of its amenities to house a group of friends or family, and has a spectacular view of the St. Mary’s River. You can tell the host put a lot of time and attention into ensuring a quality experience for every guests. I cannot recommend this retreat any more highly. We are grateful to have found this spot and look forward to future bookings. Stephen

The owner clearly has spared no expense to make guests feel welcomed. I have NEVER stayed in such a clean rental. The owners have thought of nearly everything including leaving a flashlight by the front door for my late arrival. They don't mention in their property description that they include some board and card games and even have some basic tools to assist you in potentially loading/unloading a boat, trailer, etc. I was very impressed that the kitchen even included some sandwich bags, salt, pepper, garlic, coffee, green tea Keurig pods. The bathrooms included basic toiletries which is almost unheard of in a vacation rental. These guys take UP Hospitality to a new level. Additionally, I found the property to be even better than what I expected from the photos. The photos do not do it justice! I would not expect anyone planning to stay at this property to be disappointed. The owners even set up the fire pit with smaller sticks, twigs, etc. so all I had to do was light it. I would not hesitate to stay here again if it is available the next time I travel to this area. I very much enjoyed staying here.
