Detta fantastiska hem på Great Island, med central luftkonditionering och inomhuspool, ligger i en lugn, avskild miljö men ändå mindre än en halv mil till de vackra stränderna på Cape Cod Bay! Ursprungligen designad och byggd 1952 av den berömda arkitekten Nathaniel Saltonstall. Denna mitten av århundradet samtida i internationell stil har totalrenoverats och uppdaterats men bevarar de strukturella elementen i det ursprungliga huset.

Med flera inomhus- och utomhusbostäder och matplatser, väl genomtänkta sovrumsområden och en underbar inomhusbassäng, gör detta hem den ultimata semesterstaden. Gå in i det centrala vardagsrummet med glasdörrar som öppnar sig till gårdsplanet uteplats / däck och fantastiskt avskärmad veranda. Det finns flera vingar från detta centrala bostadsområde. Det finns ett hölje med bäddsoffa och en platt-TV med satellit. Bortom hallen leder hallen till ett sovrum med två enkelsängar (totalt fyra enkelsängar) och eget badrum med anpassad kakel dusch. Det finns också en tvättmaskin / torktumlare från denna hall.

På motsatt sida av vardagsrummet finns ett fullt utrustat kök med öar och toppapparater. Köket öppnar till en stor matsal med golv till takglas med utsikt över gården.

Det stora sovrummet, med king size-säng, har ett stort badrum med eget duschkabin i glas samt en ytterdörr till en utomhusdusch. Sängen vetter mot stora fönster med utsikt över den lugna trädgården.

Det finns en annan sovrumsvinge med två sovrum och två fulla bad. Varje sovrum har en queen size-säng och dörr till trädgården. Ett av badrummen har dusch och det andra har ett litet badkar.

Den fantastiska inomhusbassängen (30 fot i längd, 3. 5 meter djup i varje ände, 4 fot på sitt djupaste) ligger på den nedre utloppsnivån. Det finns också ett badrum med dusch på denna nivå. Den rymliga uteserveringen lämpar sig för middagar, underhållning och avkoppling!

This home is beautiful, clean, and spacious. It was perfect for our family of six as well as our Nanny. We loved having our own rooms after a long day at the beach and exploring the different towns on the Cape to unwind. The layout of this home was great as it gave us all privacy and the ability to do our own individual activities but then come together for meals and such easily because of the large and centrally located kitchen/dining room. The yard was perfect for our children to run around and play when we “home.” We only used the pool once, which surprised me, but we just couldn’t stay away from the beautiful beaches long enough to utilize the pool. Renting this house for the week made our vacation so much more enjoyable- for everyone.

Nice stay at wellfleet

Loved the mid-century airy design. Garden and surrounding woods was beatify. House is very well stocked from kitchen to bathroom, and close to various things. We had two young kids and senior and everyone had a good time. We had linen rental and checking in/checking out process was also really easy. Only thing is that we wish the internet and cell reception could be better. Had to work occasionally and connection was uneven.

This house was chosen because of the heated indoor pool. My sister has Alzheimer’s and misses swimming so the heated pool was the deciding factor for renting this property. When we arrived the house was cold so I turned on the heat. That’s when we found out the blower in the furnace was no good. Also discovered the heated pool wasn’t. Ended up with space heaters and was only able to use the pool one day. The pool filter is on a timer and when the property manager’s maintenance man figured it out on Monday and valved it in correctly it started heating, until the timer shut it off. It took until Wednesday before it was warm enough for my 75 year old sister to finally get to swim. When working with the property managers who were very responsive with the heating, then electrical problems that started up, I was told I would be getting compensated because of all the problems we encountered. I was promptly refunded my security deposit but have heard nothing about compensation since. As I stated before, the only reason I rented this property was for the heated indoor pool which wasn’t until 5 days into our stay. I’m hoping I can add a positive note when and if I get compensated for all the aggravation and time I spent dealing with all the problems we encountered.

Summer Kick Off

We enjoyed our stay at the house very much. There was so much space that the kids could be off at one end of the house playing the adults could just relax in peace. The indoor pool came in very handy on the rainy days.

Wonderful

Beautiful house, all but the pool is on one floor, great screened in patio for bug free dining, comfortable outdoor furniture for reading and napping, great outdoor showers, walkable to the Bay-side beach and the Great Island walking trail.

Beautiful house. Comfy stat for a family of 10.

We loved this house. The layout was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the location. Really close to downtown Wellfleet. We used the large dining table and grill almost every night. Highly recommend!!

Great house, separate wings, pool very enjoyable

We had 9 people in the house, 6 adults and 3 children. The house was spacious. The children had their own bedroom. The families had two separate wings that allowed quiet time. Beautifully manicured flower bushes. Pool was amazing.

Enjoyed beautiful home, lovely land and nice pool.

The home has beautiful architecture and decoration. With four kids and four adults, there was plenty of space and we made use of pool and land to play volleyball, croquet and badminton during breaks from beaches and ponds. We will be back next year!

Fabulously Located and Well-Appointed Vacation Home

My husband, two daughters (ages 8 & 10) and I stayed in this home for a week in July. It was honestly the best vacation we've ever had. I grew up visiting Wellfleet in the summers but this was the first time that my family had been to The Cape. We all loved Wellfleet and felt that the location of the house was ideal. It is very private and quiet (which is what we were looking for since we live in a large city) and was a very short drive to the closest beach and amazing restaurants. The house itself was incredible. We love mid-century modern homes and the layout was perfect. We all had our own private wings and could congregate in the center of the house. The only complaint we had was that the house may have been a bit large for a family of four, but no one was honestly complaining about that. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen had a great layout and was very comfortable and we spent most of our time in there and in the central family room and screened-in porch. The weather was perfect the entire week, and there was a slight breeze that reached the porch. There were also some very comfortable lounge chairs that we used on the deck for relaxing in the sun. And every morning my daughters would swim in the indoor pool while I did yoga looking out over the lovely and private back yard. Also, the beds were very comfortable and the master bath and shower were perfect. I am hoping that we can return to the same house again next summer, but hopefully we will be able to stay for a bit longer.
