Vi är så glada över att dela vårt efterlängtade drömhus i den vackra staden Cape Charles. Vi kallade vårt hem "The Lighthouse Inn". Vi ligger två kvarter från stranden och ett kvarter från staden där du hittar restauranger, shopping, biblioteket, hemlagad glass etc.
Detta nyrenoverade 2800 m² stora hus erbjuder 4 sovrum 4 1/2 badrum, vardagsrum, familjerum, matplats, kök och garage.
Första våningen erbjuder en master svit med en queen size-säng och ett komplett badrum med dusch. Ett vardagsrum med en soffa och två lata pojkestolar. Därefter har du familjerummet med ett stort lädersnitt och en 60 tums platt skärm T. V. Du har också ett 1/2 bad med tvättmaskin och torktumlare från familjerummet. Köket är fullt utrustat med allt du behöver för att känna dig som hemma. Köket har också en utökad bar topp med 3 stolar för extra sittplatser. Matsalen rinner direkt från köket och har ett stort bord med plats för 10. Utanför matplatsen finns en glasskjutdörr som leder till däck i trädgården. Gården är helt inhägnad och erbjuder en ny gasgrill, en ny 5ft rökare / kolgrill, 2 picknickbord och en uteplats. Mot baksidan av gården finns garaget där du hittar ping-pongbord, foosbollbord, darttavla, majshålbrädor, cyklar, strandstolar, strandleksaker, kajak etc. Det finns också gott om parkering framför garaget.
Den andra nivån har 3 sovrum en master svit med en king size-säng, ett komplett badrum med separat duschkabin och en bubbelbadkar. Sovrum nummer två på övervåningen har en full storlek säng, och en våningssäng med en tvilling över en hel och ett badrum i full storlek. Sovrum nummer 3 på övervåningen har två våningssängar, båda med en tvilling över en hel och ett badrum i full storlek med badkar / .shower.
Efter en lång dag på stranden eller bara en avkopplande tid kan du njuta av en av de fyra vipparna på verandan!

Family Reunion

The house worked perfectly for our family reunion. It was an easy walk to downtown and to the beach. The kitchen and living/dining area was open and welcoming. Everyone enjoyed the house and its location.

Great place, great time!

We’ve been to Cape Charles multiple times and this has been our best stay so far! The house is roomy and equipped with pretty much anything you’ll need for your stay. The host is friendly and prompt. The beds are okay, but at least there are plenty of options! We’d definitely stay here again.

Great Family Space!

Visited with our family including 2 adult children and mother in law and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals at home, front porch and back patio areas were lovely and enjoyed every day. 1st floor bedroom was very helpful for an older guest. Upstairs master bedroom was fabulous and the two additional upstairs rooms provided space for the younger crew. Each room having a bathroom was a real luxury! Wonderful stay! .

Wonderful place to stay!

We love The Lighthouse Inn!!! It was our second time there and will definitely go back!! Beautiful home and great location! Walking distance to the quaint town's shops and restaurants and close to the beautiful beach. Also great for golfers, close to Bay Creek. LOVED it!!!!

Clean, Well Stocked, Great Backyard

Loved the proximity of town and the beach, the backyard and great communication. The only thing I wish I knew is that the one bigger bunk room is open to the rest of the house which made sleeping with kids a bit more challenging. Otherwise, definitely a beautiful, clean home. Thank you so much!

Perfect home in Cape Charles

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our stay at The Lighthouse. The home was even better than the photos, along with the back yard and garage which my granddaughter named the Fun House! Christine was wonderful to work with and we hope to rent here again next year!

Perfect spot!

This is the second time we have stayed at your lovely property for the 100 mile CBES fundraising bike ride. It's always perfect. Beds are comfortable. Home is spotless. Communication is excellent. Check-in is SO SO SO simple. Access to the outdoor gas fire pit would have been wonderful. We hope to see you for the same weekend-and the same bike ride- next year.

Another Great Stay at the Lighthouse Inn

This was our second stay at the Lighthouse Inn and it was just as great the second time around! The Lighthouse Inn is a lovely house in a great location - walking distance to shopping, food, and the beach. I love that there is a bathroom in every single room. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We rented the golf cart that is available with the house. The kids (and the adults!) love cruising around the town. Christine (the home owner) is a pleasure to work with. We look forward to doing it again!

4th Annual Cape 8 Golf Outing

I cannot say enough about this property; it is perfect for 8 women. We had warm weather for the first time and were able to utilize the beautiful outdoor area. It is walking distance to the beach and shopping and just a 5 minute drive to Bay Creek. From the decorations, sheets, towels, etc. everything is always perfect. Christine is easy to reach and respond. Love The Lighthouse!

3rd annual visit

We love this property and look forward to staying here every October on our annual golf trip. We were unable to turn on the big screen TV this visit and all attempts to reach the owner failed. We managed to see the news on bedroom tvs, but could not watch as a group. Small problem.

Great Family Vacation

This was our first trip to Cape Charles and we had a great time. We went with another family....10 of us in total. Four adults and six kids between the ages of 3 and 10. The location is great and the house can't be beat. It fully stocked with everything we needed and their was more than enough space for everyone. The backyard was a huge bonus and the garage was also great. Christine was a pleasure to work with and easy to reach. We did go on an excursion with Eastern Shore Boat Tours and had a great time with Captain Pete. I highly recommend Christine's house!!! We will be back for sure!

Perfect House for a Group

If I could give this review 10 stars, I would. This house is convenient to town, the beach, and to Bay Creek Golf Course. It is well-equipped, a perfect layout for a group (we were a group of 7), and beautifully decorated. There is entertainment space inside as well as outside. The beds and pillows were comfortable and it was immaculate. Christine was easy to reach and quick to respond. There is a bathroom in every bedroom making it ideal for groups and families. We hope that this house is available for our third annual trip to Cape Charles in 2019, for we ALL want to come back. Thank you Christine!

No Regrets

This house couldn't be more perfect. When we walked in, the pictures on the internet didn't do it justice. It was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. There is a full bathroom in ALL 4 bedrooms which was so convenient for everyone. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. I loved the floor plan also because if someone was watching TV or making noise in the kitchen it didn't bother the ones sleeping in the bedrooms. We also rented the golf cart which was a great price and very convenient being right there in the garage in the back. When we come back to visit Cape Charles this is where we will stay. Thanks so much for opening your house to us. We had an awesome vacation and staying in your house made it even better.

Sister's weekend

My 5 sisters and I just got home from an amazing sister's weekend in beautiful Cape Charles and our stay was made perfect by staying at the Lighthouse. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the house was very charming, clean, and stocked. The only thing you need to bring is your suitcase, beach towel, food and drink... everything else you need is provided! We parked our cars on Thursday and didn't start them again until Sunday...everything is within walking distance or via the golf cart that is available for rent (which is worth the expense!) There are cute shops and cafes a block away and the beach was a lot larger than expected, with clear water, and gentle ripple waves....you can walk out 500 feet and the water is still clear and only up to your knees. Thank you Christine and family for opening up your beautiful house to us, we will be back!!

Nice property, would stay again!

We spent a mid-May week at the Lighthouse Inn. Spacious, clean, many bathrooms, plenty of beach/recreation equipment provided. We only used the sand toys, but everything looked well kept. Pros: - Location can’t be beat. A block off the main street, a few blocks from the beach, and a few blocks from the city park. - Plenty of space for our family group of four adults and a toddler. We liked the configuration of three bedrooms up, one on the main floor. The master suite is really large. - Kitchen was well equipped. Everything in the house was in good working order. - Nice to have heat/cooling controls on both levels. - Beds were comfy. Cons: - Equipment listed a high chair, but there wasn’t one in the house. Quickly remedied once we contacted the owner. - We had issues with small ants in the dining & kitchen area. Owner immediately provided traps and spray, but the issue persisted on and off all week. I know they plan to treat for them right after we leave, so my guess is that this won’t be an issue for future guests. - The property is very nice inside but has a lot of fragile knickknacks. We’d expect to do some toddler-proofing anyplace to keep things out of reach, but this was quite a bit to move and then replace when we left. Fortunately, there were plenty of closets for storage. But if you are traveling with small kids, plan to spend some time at the beginning and end to make sure the items are kept safe. Overall a very good stay and we'd rent again!

Love the Lighthouse Inn

Our family was in town for a wedding, we wanted to be within walking distance to town. This property is one street back from the shopping/dining area, it was SO convenient. We were not fans of the city tap water for drinking, but the refrigerator water dispenser has a filter and you might want to bring a jug of filtered water for the coffee maker. We hope to return to CC and stay at the property again when we have more time to explore the area and take advantage of the inviting back yard.

I'm Christine and my husband is John. We have 3 children Nicholas, Brooke and Jamie. We moved to Virginia Beach from New York 17 years ago. John has been an Electrician since the age of 16, had a business in New York and started a new business in Virginia Beach. Eleven years ago he was asked to do an electrical job in Cape Charles for a new home that was being built. Once he laid his eyes on that fishing pier that was it! That night he came home it was all he could talk about. Two days later we took a ride over with our fishing poles and spent the whole day there. We did some fishing, had lunch, browsed through the shops, walked around, looked at all the old houses and said some day we will have a house here! And here we are eleven years later, our dream came true.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We looked at ALOT and I mean ALOT of homes for sale in Cape Charles. This one was one of the first that we looked at. We kept coming back to it but kept thinking there was something better like everyone does. But I'm so happy we choose this house. I love the fact that every bedroom has it own bathroom. The size of the bedrooms are very nice, so many houses had such small bedrooms. I like how open it is and the fact that it has a garage. Most homes here do not have a garage. After we put much sweat and hard work into it, it's just perfect for us!

We love the fact that this house is so close to the beach and just around the corner from the town it's just the perfect location. We did look at a few others that we liked but they were not as close to the beach or the town.
