Great location next to the park and a short walk to the beach. Being able to rent the golf carts and having them ready for us when we arrived was a wonderful convenience. Front porch was great for after dinner ice cream.

Great Place Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for families. House was clean and had everything we needed. Right next to a great park, walking distance to Main Street and of course the beach. Hope to stay here again!

Great family rental!

Perfect for our family getaway with young kids. Right next to the playground, and easy access to the beach and town! Golf cart on site a huge plus. Kids loved the bunk beds and arcade game! Thanks again!

Pictures don’t do it justice

The property was even nicer in person and felt bigger than it looked in the pictures. Perfect location in front of the park and only a few blocks to beach, restaurants, and stores. Plenty of space for everyone and we loved having the two decks and the screened in porch. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location to catch the Saturday concert upon arrival! Upper porch was great for star gazing and watching evening storms. House was very roomy, clean, and kitchen was decently equipped. Would come back again for sure!!!

First time at Cape Charles - definitely will return!

Our favorite things about the house were the location, the golf cart and the front porch. We had a blast staying at Cape Charles with all 3 generations. Our little guy especially loved the golf cart, the playground one house away and low tide at the beach! The kitchen needs a few updates with utensils and cooking supplies.

Everything you need in one spot

This was our first time staying at this beautiful home and we’ve already reserved again for next year! I love the layout—the two primary bedroom suites made it comfortable for all of us, including my elderly parents, who used the first floor bedroom. My kids loved the bunk beds and the arcade game. It’s well equipped with all the basics you need, including the optional golf cart rental. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and helpful. Can’t wait to return next year!

Great home for your beach vacation

Had a great visit with 2 families. There was enough room for us all and we had a lot of fun with the golf cart. The home was clean overall and we had everything we needed. We recommend planning in advance for Cape Charles does not have a lot of carry out options. Also if you’re going to the beach I’d recommend being your own umbrella or tent. Great option for little kids for the bay was very shallow.

Beautiful Home!

We loved this property! As other reviewers mentioned, the location is amazing and you can watch the concerts from the porch. I really enjoyed reading on the upstairs porch. The house is exactly as pictured (or maybe even better?) but totally renovated, clean, and comfortable. One tiny thing I’ll mention, there are not TVs in the bedrooms and there isn’t cable. Not a deal breaker since you’re at the beach, but if you’re like me and used to falling asleep to the tv, it’s an adjustment! We typically stay a friends place that was booked, but we will definitely use this as our new backup moving forward!

Ours was a long overdue family vacation. Upon our arrival, our contactless arrival was seamless. We had received all instructions prior to our arrival, and we experienced no issues either with gaining entry or with using anything in the home during our stay. We were five adults and one toddler and everyone was comfortable. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It was so handy to have the washer and dryer in the house. And the up and down heating/a/c controls was perfect. And loved using the golf cart! We would definitely come back.

Anchors by the Park was a perfect stay for our family of five, plus grandparents! The location was amazing, right next to the park & playground and an easy walk or ride to the beach or into town. Having the golf cart on-property was so convenient and we used it all the time. The rooms were great for us and the kids loved the loft & arcade game setup. The two porches were wonderful for relaxing in the mornings and evenings. We would definitely stay again!

LOVED this house!! We were lucky enough to be here during the summer concert series and we could sit on the porch and see the concert! The kids loved the games in the house and having the playground so close the house was just perfect. The house was so comfy and clean and had everything we could need. Originally from Philadelphia, (John) and my wife (Rachelle) is from New Orleans, however we make Virginia Beach our home now and have been in the area since 2003. We have been making trips to Cape Charles during this time and really enjoy the small-town charm of the place. In 2015, we decided to embark on building a vacation home that we and others can utilize as a getaway from what is usually a busy schedule.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Our new custom home is made perfect for relaxing, with everything close by. It's an easy walk to the beach or to the main street in town. My favorite is sitting on the front porch in the summer and enjoying the concerts on Saturday nights in the park, great seats without leaving the house. If you have kids, the playground is right past the neighbor's house.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Enjoy the concerts in the Park right from the front porch. If you are traveling with children, you can send them right outside to the swings in the playground to keep them occupied, if needed. You do not have to go far to take a peaceful stroll along the pathway in the park, located across the street in front of the house.
