By entering on the first floor, you'll find the stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, hand laid brick flooring, and a spacious den perfect for gathering while preparing home-cooked meals. Upstairs, the airy living space offers an ample amount of comfortable seating for your entire party, with a sunroom attached. Just off of this space, you'll find 2 large bedrooms with beautiful barn doors, and vaulted ceilings.

This home truly highlights indoor/outdoor living, as you will be in heaven with all the great outdoor spaces! On the second floor enjoy the large deck with lounge chairs to soak up the sun and enjoy ocean breezes. Listen to the ocean waves crashing from the screened porch while relaxing on the wrap around couch. Downstairs, there guests can take advantage of the covered porch with grill, dining table, outdoor bar and swings. After arriving home from the beach, take use of the outdoor shower and rinse off before heading inside. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good location but could have cleaner. The pool area is basically a red ant hill. We also had a rodent that was getting into our food during the stay. The upstairs shower did not while the shower downstairs was very small. Overall I would say 2.5 out of 5.

This is a nice house with a ton of space for indoor and outdoor activities. Would have been perfect had the upstairs shower not been out of order.

Charming & Spacious

POSITIVES: Overall it was a cute place with plenty of room and seating. Easy walk to beach and some local stores. Outside area was perfect! Great location - easy walk to beach. NEGATIVES: Was told the day before we checked in that maintenance "just reported" upstairs shower was broke and would not be able to be used. Looking back on the reviews - this was not the case as people as far back as April reported the shower was not usable upstairs. After two months you would think they would fix it!?!? Definitely not the cleanest place though - floors need to be cleaned/mopped in between tenants! Be sure to always wear shoes or your feet will turn black. If they would spend a little bit of money on the bathrooms and kitchen this place would be a gem!

So fun!

We had a great time in this house! Overall it was pretty clean and well-kept. My only complaint was there was a mouse and also some stains on our bed sheets. It was nice to be so close to the beach. I love all the different spots in and outside the house where we could just sit and hang out. I would stay here again! If you plan to stay here I just recommend keeping your food locked away because our little friend helped themself to our bagels.

Quaint little place

This property was pretty perfect for my family of seven it is very cute and close to the beach there's a salt fish and beer bar right beside so if you don't like cars coming in and out a lot it might bother you it did not bother us however because I have two small children I will say there is not porch furniture upstairs like as shown in the pictures other than two little chairs one of the swinging chairs is missing an the other one is pretty rough looking the upstairs shower was out of order which was hard for my 70-year-old mother and even though it was chilly we took showers outside the pool was not heated like stated in the ad apparently the pool is only heated until April 1st which kind of crazy to me it was too cold most of the time to swim in an unheated pool luckily the first two days we were there it was still heated and we were able to swim once the heat was turned off we were not able to swim it is way too cold in April to not have a heated pool if you're going to offer one.we were told that the shower would not be fixed during our stay which is kind of a bummer and didn't even get offered a discount and I booked an extra night. other than those things, if the upgrades were made to the place I would definitely book again because it is very cute having the private pool is a big deal and being able to swim in it isn't even bigger deal the kitchen is very small and we had to use some of the dish cabinets to store Pantry food there's no carpet a make sure

Great vacation

We had a wonderful Vacation, this homes location was in a great neighborhood and easy access to all attractions. My children loved being able to walk to the ice cream shop!! The down side to the property is that it came with a pool that we were able to use for two days but after that the water was green and could not see to the bottom at all. When we reached out to the host they did inform us they put in a work order for it to be fixed but two days went by and no one showed up to fix the pool. Also it’s advertised as being heated pool but it’s only heated for certain time of the year. When we took our trip the heat had been turned off for the season. With it being early April we did reach out to them about having the heat turned back on and we were informed it would cost 40 a day. We were fine with this but the pool was never cleaned so we could fully enjoy it. That was a little disappointing to our children as being at the beach is not always easy with a three year old and he really wanted to get in the pool. Also there was no broom to sweep the floor wired! Other than that the house had most everything we needed and we enjoyed our time on the island!

Loved that the TVs were in family areas so it kept the teens and adults in the same room. There was also a sweet little alcove under the stairway that was great for kids. The entry to the home had a sitting room with lots of books which the teens enjoyed. Great seafood restaurant right next door Salty fish great staff and food everything was pretty much within walking distance

Nice place!

We loved staying here! The pool was nice and the location is awesome and within walking distance of the beach and a few shops and restaurants. My teen and the toddlers had a great time along with us adults. The only negative things I have to say is- it’s not really 3 bedroom per se, unless you count the living room area. The kitchen is very small- not a lot of counter space, and you can only use one water thing at a time (shower-washer..etc) bc water pressure disappears. Other than those things we loved this place!

Good and bad

Pros: The location was great. A short walk to the beach, about 3mins. The bedrooms, family area upstairs, and all the children books were great and much appreciated. Cons: After parking in the carport, there was an immediate odor that hit us. The awful odor could also be smelt while swimming in the pool. We realized that there were multiple dumpsters, with some being open, on the other side of the pool fence( behind the carport) from the business next door. It smelled like a dead animal. It was awful. We tried to stay on the other side of the pool to avoid the smell but it is a small pool. Also, the running water from inside the house also smelled bad. It smelled like the running water came directly from the ocean. Just a very strong fishy smelly from the water. Even my 4 yr old noticed it. I agree with outher reviewers that the hiuse definitely needs some love: the shower upstairs had a huge rip in the floor and water was openly flowing into the hole. All the furniture outside by the pool were musky and gross. I dont think they've been cleaned in years. We avoided them.Lastly, the pool. The pool had a little algae in it the first day but didnt think anything of it since i assumed there was enough chlorine to keep it at bay. However, by our 3rd day it had taken over most of the pool and I did not feel comfortable allowing kids to swim in it. Side note: The shower downstairs by the kitchen is like showing in a pit and not safe for young children.

Lovely cottage

This was such a nice vacation. The heated pool was so nice to have in early may. Everything was clean and so convenient. We loved eating our meals outside on the cozy patio right off the kitchen. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Cottage was great. Lots of quirky things to see inside, which we love. Pool was pretty dirty however, and the net left to clean it out was full of holes.

House has charm

The overall property was great. Had to email and have the pool cleaned. The back yard needs gardened and cut back every time the wind blows leaves and dirt gets in the pool. The kitchen is small and worked for us. The house has 2 bedrooms but has multiple couches with pull out beds. The location is great. The upstairs bathroom exhaust fan wasn’t working emailed to have it fixed when we left. The house feels like a home and my kids had a blast.

Family Vacation

Very disappointed in pool and around the pool area. Advertised heated pool. We chose this house because we had a baby and the heated pool. The pool was only heated one day and rest of stay heat was cut off. The area around the pool was very dirty and lots of weeds. One bathroom door would not close that needs to be addressed. In the listing you need to say one bathroom is downstairs.

A Great Place To Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying in this rental since we enjoyed it so much the first time we visited. There is ample indoor and outdoor space. The house is clean and welcoming. One of the only issues from our first visit - bright security lights shining in the bedroom - was corrected with dark curtains on the windows. There are a variety of outdoor seating areas so everyone can find something that appeals to them. The only issue that we had with our visit this time is that the pool wasn't heated. We stayed the exact same week in October 2022 and the pool was heated for our stay. We didn't realize it wouldn't be heated when we booked this time. It was a HUGE let down as the water was too cold to swim, which made the pool a beautiful, but unusable amenity.

Great Location-room for improvements

We were happy with Kitty’s Cottage location-with beach access across road. Also, great restaurants, convenience store and ice cream within the block, bike path and park close by. The whole Island is easily accessible by biking/ walking. The outdoor shower was great. Kitchen and living areas were as described. The newer pool was perfect, but stairs are slippery as I fell, so be careful. The whole cottage could use a more aggressive cleaning! (especially the floors) The back bedroom was awesome but needs black out curtains or blinds for the street lights. Light sleepers could be bothered by loud cars revving by throughout the night. There is no grill. Kelly and Staff were very helpful with any questions we had and we thank them!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first got there the house had not been cleaned from the family that stayed there prior to us coming (check in was 4 & we got there after 4:30), the pool was dirty, had a tanning oil film on the water, also smelled of garbage by the pool. We called to get the house & pool cleaned, they did get housekeeping to come in less than 10 mins. But they assured me management would call me for compensation of my trip bc of the inconveniences but the trip is over, I have messaged the business several times & I haven’t heard from anyone yet. Also we have seen 2 rodents in the house. Mouse droppings under & behind the couches, even in the pull out bed couches. I will not stay here again after so many things going wrong & not following through with what they told us they were going to do. Really disappointed bc we were so excited about this house & staying there bc of the previous reviews being so good!

Cute but...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: This cottage is absolutely adorable. The owners did a nice job decorating it. It was a nice distance to the beach, and shops/restaurants. The two bedrooms upstairs are a great size and very comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was nice. The outdoor shower was great for washing sand off after the beach, and the pool was great.Cons: we thought being right next to a restaurant would be convenient for dinner, but the smell from the dumpster was unbearable for a few days. The pool was not clean when we arrived ( Tuesday ) The cleaner arrived Thursday. There was only one of the swinging chairs out by the pool area, and it didn’t look too great. I know the house is considered 3 bedrooms, but it’s not a comfortable 3 bedrooms. The room with the couch and blue coffee table is what I’m guessing they consider the 3rd bedroom. The exterior door from the carport comes right into this room. If you close the doors( that go into the dining area), then it gets hot/humid. We moved our son up to the living room after we figured out this room wouldn’t work. The upstairs bedrooms have the air conditioning units in them. In order to keep the living room cool, we had to keep our bedroom doors open. It just felt like you had to choose between cooling the living room, or privacy. The couches were not comfortable, and the little blue chairs( as beautiful as they were) were not comfortable either.. Althought it was clean enough, it could definitely use a deep cleaning at some point Like I said, this place was cute, and would be great for two couples, or a small family, but it didn’t work for us.

Not as advertised

Sad property! First, we get there and at 4pm the door would not unlock. I called and I spoke to an Indian who could barely speak English. Instead of giving me my door code she wanted proof that I paid which meant I would have to drop bags, pull up my checking, look back months on my CC statement to prove I paid. I am very angry that I could not understand what she was saying and was frustrated enough to have to look thru my statement for proof. I would not have driven 5 hrs for nothing! The rental company sent me the code after our check in time which left us sitting outside frustrated because they knew we were coming. Second, my Sister’s both stepped on glass in the kitchen which meant who ever cleans did not clean the floor correctly. I let management know and all I got was a I’m sorry??? For three days, I complained about the TV not working outside so we could watch games and all I got was someone would look into it, never happened. The pool was dirty. Pool guy came and dumped white powder in and left. Didn’t clean it at all. The outside shower which is covered was terribly dirty. I complained, no answer! Kitch is extremely tiny and the pan we cooked eggs in needs trashed. Lots of mold and mildew in the home. Would not stay again and would never use this Tybee property management again. So disappointed!

The good the bad and the ugly

We arrived two hours early, stopped by the house and the pool was disgusting, green, dirty. The outside area is very grown up, trash and shoes, socks, dog poop. I called property management after no text response and was told maintenance would be there. She did offer to store our groceries while we waited- maintenance did not arrive. I called again at 4, was told again maintenance would be there which didn’t arrive. She also had to help us get in the door as the code did not work. The next day maintenance arrived and shocked and cleaned the pool which helped about 5%. I contacted management stating my husband and I worked on the pool and got it somewhat clean. Day 3 we left for some shopping, returned and a pool tech was there who informed us not to swim for two hours. Which would be 2pm. So for three days of our 4 days the pool was not clean. The inside of the property was clean all but some juice boxes left upstairs under a table. We did enjoy the family area as well. I would suggest having something to be a or to put food in for families, we had cereal, bread etc and no real place to put it. There is a restaurant next door and at times the dumpster gets bad but not unbearable. Raccoons visited every night which were cool to watch but probably should be relocated. We were fairly disappointed in the pool situation, that’s the whole reason we rented a house not a condo. Otherwise, the house was enjoyable.

Not Ideal for Families with Small Children

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the house is advertised as child-friendly by showcasing a toy nook in the photos, we found it generally unsafe for young children. First, for check-in, we received only one code for the front door. The back door had a separate code, which we discovered after getting locked out. We had to contact the management company for the second code, as it was not included in the initial information.The house has several ledges at the doorways, causing our children to trip and fall onto the hard concrete floors. The floors were dirty, leaving our feet black after walking around the house.All bedrooms are located on the second floor and feature barn doors. One door was particularly difficult to open because it kept getting caught on the baseboard. Additionally, the upstairs railing seems unsafe (potentially not up to code), as it is only the height of the futons, making it easy for small children to climb onto the couches and potentially fall down the stairwell. The pool outside is the best feature of the property, but the concrete around it is painted with no texture. This caused several falls when our children tried to walk on it with wet feet. Another downside is the house's proximity to a restaurant. One day, the dumpster smell made it unbearable to be outside.The microwave was also non-functional during our stay.The proximity to the beach and the pool are the only highlights of this property. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, we do not recommend this place for families with small children.

Poor property management

The homeowners have a created a cute vintage cottage with a good location in North Beach. The house has lots of charm - we loved that there were books everywhere and the decor is very cute. We also loved the multiple outdoor spaces and sitting on the screened in porch on cool evenings. Great location for a quick walk to Sugar Shack with the kids in the evening. One of the worst things for us was this house is HOT. The bedrooms upstairs are like saunas. Most of the few vents were covered with rugs or furniture. The double bed bedroom has a beautiful stained glass window, but be prepared to be woken at dawn everyday with light as bright as the surface of the sun. The small window air conditioners didn’t do much to cool the large bedrooms and frequently froze up. The blinds in the second bedroom are broken and block minimal light, we found it hard to sleep. The shutters in the master bedroom helped keep out a lot of light at night. There is some light/noise from close businesses, and the next door restaurants dumpster reeked- we couldn’t use the pool until it was emptied. We also were disappointed in the cleanliness of the rental. The back patio had trash including an old sock and some used lip balm in the garden area. The pool skimmer didn’t work so the pool was dirty every morning. Someone came to service it after a few days, but didn’t fix the problem. We won’t stay here again but with some quick fixes this could be a great rental for a young family.
