Thank you for the great review. I LOVE the picture of your precious pups! They look like they are waiting to run outside in the yard :). We definitely strive to make Midway Retreat a home away from home and that includes making it pet friendly not just pets allowed. We have found during our travels that those are not the same thing. You all were wonderful guests and we hope to see you and your pups again when you are in our area!

Loved this home and the neighborhood. House was clean and well stocked for humans and my puppy. Backyard was a beautiful place to rest and enjoy being outside. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen equipment and complimentary coffee and wine was a sweet treat. We loved that they stairs for our short dog to be able to join us on the couch. We will definitely be staying here again.

The hosts are amazing and so responsive! The house is in a great little neighborhood with the added benefit of a community pool. My family and I stayed here for three months after we moved to San Antonio and Natalie and Larry made us feel so welcome, both to their home and the SA area! Definitely a great spot for families and pet owners - close enough to the city to be able to get there quickly, but far enough away from downtown that it has a country feel to it. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

This was our second stay at this home. We highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay in San Antonio, TX. Not only was everything spotless, the host thought of everything we would need. Bowls and beds for the dogs, a great backyard for them to play and nice outdoor seating for us. When they said "pet-friendly" they meant it. The kitchen had all you needed to cook a meal with all the utensils, pots & pans, spices, etc. That island was huge and great to sit and discuss our day. The neighborhood was also awesome. We took our dogs to a nearby park, let them runaround in the dog park. It included nearby places to eat, grocery stores, speciality coffee shops. Everything you could think of was nearby. Great location. We highly recommend this location and thank the great hosts.

Amazing VRBO! Extremely well equipped for our long-term stay. The location is very convenient, the place is spotless, and the hosts are easy to contact with quick responses (for example, we asked if there was a small stool, the host brought a new one to the house that same day). Very pet friendly house with dog beds and bowls, and both a neighborhood dog park within walking distance and a larger one about a 10 minute drive away. We definitely recommend staying here!

The perfect home away from home

Our stay was great in this ideally located home. It was close enough to shopping and family while tucked away from too much traffic. The house had everything we needed and was the perfect fit for 4 adults. I would highly recommend it.

This home is a perfect 10 out of 10. It is beautiful inside and out, in a wonderful neighborhood, and had every amenity that we could possibly wish for. The hosts thought of everything. We have done many VRBO‘s and this one is right at the top of the list. This is how a VRBO should be.
