we stayed for 2 night in caterina's apartment, and it was excellent! very comfortably slept 4 people (2 adults, 2 children), and it was clean and well cared-for. maybe the best shower i've had in italy so far :)
the location could not be better, either. just a few minutes walk (literally, like 5 minutes tops) to the due torre (two towers) in the center of bologna. and equally convenient to the rest of the historical center. with so many restaurants, pasticceria's, shops, and museums to visit in bologna, being right in the center of it all was wonderful.
and let me just say, bologna is an awesome city. we loved the vibe of it! young families everywhere and college-aged men and women really lend it a progressive, forward-thinking feel. and then the food! it's the culinary capital of italy (and europe, for that matter). you can't trip without landing on a cool place to eat.
and i haven't even mentioned the fantastic history that lurks around every corner and in every palazzo in the city. do yourself a favor and spend some time in this place. there is much to learn, plenty of food to enjoy, and lots to see and do.
