En privat gated drive leder till The Chalet och dess 160 hektar lugn naturskön lugn. Detta hem erbjuder en rymlig, öppen planlösning (ungefär 2 000 kvadratmeter) och många fönster som lockar ett i solsken, lugn och natur.

Hemmet hyrs varje vecka från lördag till lördag i bästa sommarveckor och kan också hyras dagligen därefter.

Interiör - Huvudnivån har ett fullt utrustat kök, drottning sovrum och badrum (alla sängkläder och handdukar tillhandahålls). Boytan är en öppen layout med högt i tak och en stor vedeldad eldstad. Det finns en solstol med god storlek utrustad med en futon för extra sömn. Den övervåningen loftet har 2 queen sängar och ytterligare ett bad i full storlek.

Exteriör - De privata 160 hektar omfattar 2 vårfodrade sjöar, bra för bad, fiske, vandring etc. Badflotten, fiskebåten, kajak och paddelbåten ingår.

Chalet är en perfekt vinterresa med snöskor, längdskidåkning (på fastigheten och nära VASA-spår) och miles av snöskoterspår precis utanför porten!

Very nice

Great getaway! We did a lot of relaxing and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace. Beautiful view of the lake. Would love to come back during summer!

Great family Getaway

This place was amazing! Great location, and beautiful lake. Our family enjoyed the long hiking trails, paddle boat, kayaks and row boats. We even got to bring our pups! Only a short drive to Traverse City, We will definitely be back!

Great Weekend Getaway

A nice cozy cabin on a lake in the middle of the woods. Our family enjoyed the location close to everything, hiking trails and waking up to the lake each morning.

Quiet getaway

This property was beautiful! So relaxing, and quiet. The chalet had everything we needed. We saw several deer while walking the trails. Carole was so nice, and helpful. She checked in with us the next day, just to make sure everything was okay.

Always Lovely

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Chalet. Carole is always great to work with and the property is amazing. Tucked away in the woods the Chalet offers seclusion but is close to everything we wanted to do.

We had a wonderful week, wish we had stayed longer. Swimming, kayaking, paddleboating and enjoying the home! We planned to leave more but loved the property we spent more time at the home. Not sure if the dogs or teens had more fun 💜 plenty of space, had dinners on the deck and had a wonderful week! We will be back!

Another Wonderful Stay

Excellent Private Getaway!

The home was quite away off the road and so quiet you could talk to the boys across the lake fishing from the dock! The road off the driveway was an ORV trail so it was perfect to leave the house and hit the ATV trails that surround the area! Will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to getaway

My husband and I spent the weekend here with our dogs in October. The fall colors around the lake were unparalleled. Kitchen was stocked, bed was comfy, plenty of room for the dogs to run. We walked through the forest to the other lake and watched bald eagles. Deer came to visit in the evening. Nice quiet and relaxing stay.

Serene Piece of Paradise

Our weekend stay here was too short! This very private spot, surrounded by woods with a small lake for paddling was perfect for relaxing on the large deck and watching the dogs run and play. The house had everything we needed and Carole was very accessible for questions. We hope to be able to return some day!

Quiet, Peaceful stay on the edge of a beautiful little lake. Area is a hiker's paradise inhabited with loads of wildlife. House was like home and Carole was accomodating without being intrusive. Great House, Great Location, Great Time.

Chalet

We had a wonderful week stay at the Chalet. Carol was a gracious host and immediately responded to any questions. We made use of the lake for floating and fishing; catching bluegills and sunfish on every outing. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and the peaceful location was everything we could have wanted. We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous lake house

We enjoyed a chilly fall extended weekend. Chalet is well planned and functional, plugs and lights where you want them, etc. We were delighted to find we could leave our cotton thermal blankets in their bag, since the hosts have them on the beds. I enjoyed cooking in the well supplied kitchen. Hubbie worked a bit, internet slows down a lot on the weekend (like most places up north), so watching shows that I downloaded early in the morning through my phone’s hot spot worked quite well. A wonderful get away.

Peaceful Stay on Fife Lake

We had a wonderful time visiting this property on Fife Lake. We came into town to run in the Bayshore 10k but wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Traverse City on Memorial Day weekend. We found the perfect spot to do that! The cottage is beautiful, spacious, very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, playing games inside and games of catch outside in the large yard, sitting on the dock taking in the beautiful sunshine, reading on the deck, a bonfire, and lots of quality family time. The property is very peaceful and serene. We saw swans, herons and had the unique opportunity to watch a turtle lay her eggs in the driveway! Carole is a very gracious, kind and supportive host! Highly recommend a stay at this lovely property.

Peaceful and relaxing but landscaping needs work

Overall it was a very nice place. The lake was very nice and I enjoyed walking through the woods with my dogs. I deducted one star because the landscaping was neglected and overgrown. What once appeared to be flower beds were overgrown with grass and weeds, as were the beds that were around a couple of the trees. Shrubs outside the kitchen and dining area were overgrown and distracted from the view of the woods. Interior was nice, but the exterior landscaping around the house gave the property a somewhat abandoned feeling.

Wonderful secluded getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property. We stayed for an entire week. Our dogs loved being able to explore the property, and we all had a great time relaxing, fishing, and enjoying the nature surrounding us. To swim, you'll need to make your way out to the swim dock more in the middle of the lake. But there are an abundance of kayaks and boats to use to get there. We would fish to our hearts content and then jump in the water to cool off. We were in great proximity to friends in Fife Lake as well as being able to have some day trips to the Traverse City and Torch Lake areas. We definitely would recommend this property and hope to stay again! Thanks Carole.

I live in Grand Haven in the woods on the beach and have been coming up to the Fife Lake area for the past 20 years. I spend much of my time up north. My neighbors in GH, who come only in the summer, always wonder why I could possibly be going any where else!

Varför värden valde detta boende

My husbands father built his cabin in Fife Lake in the forties. We loved the woods and beautiful lakes in the area and subsequently found our own place on Downs Lake in 1994. The Chalet, also on Downs lake was purchased in 2002. The original cabin, close by, has been renovated and can be rented along with the Chalet.
