Our family so enjoyed our time at the house. The common areas were large enough to accommodate us all comfortably and we made great use of the beach, kayaks, and outdoor space. Great communication with Jim and super easy check out. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay! The house was clean, the amenities were perfect for our family and the kids. The property and lake were absolutely incredible. I felt like we were away on a lake up in the middle pd nowhere but we were also still close to everything. If you are looking for fun and a peaceful place to rest this is it!

Thanks for the great review Lia!!! Your viewpoint is one of the reasons the cottage’s location is so desirable. It’s closest enough to the main drag (about 5 miles) and far enough away to be in a more remote area. And the lake rarely has much traffic and the temperature of the water is great. I’m extremely happy your group had a great time!!

Let’s start with the “host of the year award”going to Jim! He returned calls and texts promptly. His check-in/check-out instructions were clear and given in a very timely manner. The property is exactly as described and pictured! Clean, roomy, and the view of the lake from the cottage and deck was beautiful! The beachfront is sandy the lake is clean and was enjoyed by our family… especially our grandsons! Perfect family vacation location. We will be back!

Great family vacation spot

Loved the location!

We rented for a week with our 3 grandchildren and had a fantastic time! Having the beach and water practically outside the door is awesome! Would definitely rent again 😊

Beautiful Stay!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. We enjoyed the campfire, sand and water area for the kids, as well as its convenient location to downtown Traverse City. The house was very nice and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably! We would stay here again! Thank-you!

Great Location and Swimming

We loved our stay and how close the store and good food was. Easy check in and out. If you are renting the pontoon and want to swim, make sure there is a ladder (which was missing for us), but other than that the rental was what it promised to be.

Perfect spot

The location combined with all the amenities of this home made our stay perfect. We loved having so much to do on the lake with the paddle boats and kayaks and private beach. Being close to downtown traverse was a plus as well. We had a wonderful stay and nothing but positive interactions with our host, Jim.

Relaxing Cottage

Enjoyed the cottage. It was very spacious and nicely appointed. Great location too! Easy to get to everywhere in the Traverse City and Leelanau area. The cottage itself is in a quieter relaxed area. High Lake was very nice for a dip.

Great place to stay!

Lots of room at this house and beautiful setting with great beach area for the kids to play in and we enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks and the pontoon rental as well! Very well stocked house - plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and laundry soap and trash bags - we are used to having to stock up on these when going to a rental house but they had an ample supply and even had beach toys and towels there for our use.

Worked great for us

This was a great location for while we were there for a softball tournament and very easy to get to downtown TC. Kids had a lot of fun playing on the dock and swimming. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep and living room spaces.

Annual Lakehouse trip

We enjoyed our time at this Lakehouse for our annual Lakehouse vacation with our small children. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock, jumping off of the dingy, kayaking/paddle boating, the TVs were convenient for the kids, and the separate living rooms and all of the bedrooms! We will definitely be returning!

Family Time

This is a perfect house and location for a family vacation. The layout of the bedrooms allowed each family to have their own space. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of towels and other necessities. Enjoyed the paddle boat, kayaks, pontoon boat, and fishing. We had a relaxing and fun filled stay.

Family time on the Lake

Excellent cottage for a multigenerational family vacation. Little ones loved playing at the sandy beach and fishing from the dock. The cottage is large so we had all the space we needed. Older children loved the game room with a pool table.

Family get away

Jim was amazing to work with and I would definitely stay at his house again!!! The kitchen was fully stocked which is always a plus for a small family. The furniture was in excellent condition and very comfortable to relax on after a long day. The beach area, chairs and fire place were perfect!! The kids absolutely loved fishing, kayaking, paddling and swimming.
