Rummet ligger i hjärtat av Amsterdam mittemot Jordaan-området. Centrum ligger runt, men huset ligger fortfarande i ett lugnt område. Dräkten vetter mot gården som du kan komma in från ditt rum. Rummet är mysigt, tyst och knäppt. Höjd är 1. 85 mtr under 17: e centen. balkar. Du har egen ingång, så du är fri att gå in och ut. Gratis Wifi / Internet. Privat souna-bad och toalett med skjutdörr. Ett pentry med ditt privata kylskåp en spisspis och mikrovågsugn. Vi har också en liten båt "som terrass" där du kan sitta på om solen är ute. För uthyrning har vi en 2 personer kanot. I trädgården kan du koppla av eller röka.

Dam Square 5 min promenad, Ann Frank House och Jordaan 2 min. promenad och 10 min promenad till Leidseplein torget. Museerna är en kort promenad bort, liksom Vondelpark, blomstermarknaden och Waterlooplein. Det finns många kollektivtrafiklinjer dugg i 4 min promenad. Kvarteret har många bra restauranger, barer, kaféer, kaféer, livsmedel, bagare och butiker. Av sen bokning möjlig. Ytterligare: med mig kan du också hyra en camperbus efter din vistelse här för att utforska Nederländerna. Fråga efter möjligheterna.

Property was clean and neat in a great location. A little musty because of bottom floor but other wise very good host was very good as well and accomidated luggage storage after our departure.

WONDERFUL!

Let’s start with the host, Anne Marie. She was simply fantastic. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property is situated in a perfect location, central to most of the attractions. It’s brilliantly quirky with tons of character. I dare you to try and find a place at this price that has a nice sized kitchen, laundry facilities, plenty of space, your own private garden and a PRIVATE SAUNA. Good luck trying to find that!The garden was hands down my favorite. With high walls and tons of plants it was like a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you want a cookie cutter room look elsewhere because this place is all character.

Got there early and informed by owner all okay to check in early. Location is excellent right where we wanted to be. The room was great we liked it a lot very quirky and a very comfortable bed. Probably not to everyone’s taste but fine for us. Late check out was available informed by owner all okay.

Great location with easy walk to attractions. Anne Marie was a great host who meet us on arrival and helped settle us in. There was no surprises with the property description matching what we found.

Convenient location, cozy place

Host was friendly and accomodating, the location was in walking distance to pretty much everything. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows, very nice for someone (me) who seems to need 10 pillows in order to sleep.

Quirky canal apartment

Thought we were walking into a lovely little vintage shop which led us into a cozy quirky apartment. Everything you need with few little extras and a wonderful deep bath. Not the place to stay if your looking for modern style furnishings. Plumbing is a little noisy and on occasion a little smelly and you have to pay extra for the sauna. Anne Marie is a very helpful and informative host.

Wonderful funky suite in great location

This suite has everything my wife and I needed for our two-night stay in Amsterdam. Its location makes it easy to walk to restaurants, museums and to get to a canal tour. The suite is well provisioned to allow you to prepare meals. The courtyard looks great, but we hit a rainy period so couldn’t take advantage. Anne Marie was very helpful and responsive, giving us some excellent advice on getting around. I highly recommend this suite.

Really lovely, unusual studio accommodation with a garden and private use of a boat on the canal for meals and watching the world go by. Experienced and super host who did everything to make us welcome. Perfect location for a relaxed city break.

Retired sister in laws traveling together

The location was perfect for us, everything we wanted to see was in walking distance and the neighborhood felt very safe and friendly. Anne Marie was always available and very helpful. We enjoyed having a drink on her boat and had we known she was available to take us for a boat ride we would have set it up with her instead of a tour boat. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Beautiful Experience in Amsterdam

Had the absolute best time staying in Anne Marie’s place!!! It had such character and you can tell a lot of love went into building it & setting it up. Vibes are immaculate. Anne Marie was a wonderful host! We were greeted outside when we pulled up and enjoyed a couple lovely conversations throughout our 3 night stay. The built in private sauna was amazing! Perfect location - you are a 5 minute walk to a grocery store, liquor store, cafe & coffee shop. Definitely will be coming back to stay here when I return to Amsterdam, cheers!

Great stay!

We enjoyed sitting on the boat on the canal in the afternoons- especially on Konigsdaag. And in the backyard. The ceilings were a bit low for my 6 ft tall husband but everything one might need was included. I especially enjoyed the well outfitted kitchen. Anne Marie was an excellent host with excellent English.

Lovely room and host!

We had the pleasure of staying at Anne Maries apartment for a couple of days- the apartment is really eclectic and full of interesting nooks and crannies. It's really quiet since the bed is near the garden, which was also a wonderful place we were able to use during our stay. The advertised boat in front was also a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the view. Anne Marie made sure we were able to check in properly without any hassle and even offered us to stay an hour later for check out since it was raining during our departure day.

Canal apartment

Had an earlier flight and Anne Marie allowed us to check in early which was helpful. Also helpful in making suggestions for restaurants and nearby stores. Surprising note at check in about potential toilet clogs. Guest is responsible for paying for a plumber if toilet clogs. Also there were step by step instructions on how to try to fix a clog yourself if needed. However we did not have a problem.

Pleasant Host, Not so Pleasant Stay

On a positive note, the unit had everything we needed. The host was pleasant and helpful whenever we encountered them. The location was great. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants in the area, a short walk to the tram stop. On a negative note: the suite was damp, humid, cluttered. Needs a dehumidifier. The host did not communicate well. We were not aware that they lived upstairs so on arrival we stood outside in blazing heat/sunshine for half an hour trying to contact them to let us in. I had emailed my Whats App number but they did not respond.They happened to open their door and saw us there. If you have difficulty with stairs, this is not the place. Narrow stairs to get down into the suite, no hand rail. Multiple steps getting into each room, some very steep. We enjoyed our time in Amsterdam but would not recommend this place to stay.

Disappointing to say the least. Pictures not representative of the place. Beware

Beware of this listing. It sounds charming, but in reality it is no more than a hovel. It is located in the basement of a very old building (not quaint or atmospheric, just plain old). It is a 1600’s building that has been modestly restored. To get to the bedroom, you walk through a basement filled with personal belongs. You then pass through a cluttered galley. The glass I attempted to use was filthy (we went and got bottled water). When you get to the bedroom, the bed has a very thin mattress and the pillows smell of chlorine (or something). The bathroom is very small (two people cannot stand in it at the same time). It does have a bath tube that is also …dare I say it, is “old and marred”. But, the worst part is you are given two threadbare towels. The sauna appeared not to work because it was used as a closet (there were hangers in it). The cluttered court garden is moss covered and had ash trays filled with old dirty cigarette butts. We tried to stay, but we had colds and my husband’s allergies started to kick in. The final straw was when the jack hammering from the construction close by set in and we could not rest. We were lucky to get a room at a nearby hotel. The pictures are not a true representation of this apartment. It is dark and very sparse with very low ceilings. This place, though nicely located, is not for discerning mature travelers. The lady who checked us in (who was a friend of the owner) was charming and very helpful. She was the only bright spot. I talked to the owner (who was in Spain), but she was not sympathetic. We had passed the cancel time. So there was no refund. Homeaway was not helpful either in obtaining at least one night refund. What I have problems with is that the description is not a fair representation of this apartment. The pictures are beautiful, but the reality is something much much less and that is why I sought a refund. It is not, in our opinion, as advertised. I was so upset we didn't take pictures. I was embarrassed to show my friends my "big mistake.' and felt guilty I had put my husband through that. Now, I wish we had taken some so I could prove my point. Let me add, this is the first bad review I have ever given out of all my Homeaway stays. I am not a natural complainer, but this was awful.

Location is great, price was unbelievable, the space is exactly as shown on the listing. The bathroom tub and toilet area seemed to be a little too quirky for us but was certainly functional. Ann Marie is a great host and very helpful. Thanks for the enjoyable stay and the memories.

Anne Marie Borsboom threw herselff as quirky adolescent already on the making cartoons consisting of four, five photos. Someone said: you should go filming. And so it came to pass. After the Film Academy, she went to work as Camerawoman and Director. Her new film BOI, Song of a wanderer and Homesick plus Carnival were broadcasted.
Anne Marie tries to stir her films to be more than the main theme suggests.

At times her visual poetry and eye for composition are the best in photography and they have traded the 24 frames per second for a single muted image with a strong expressiveness. But then again there makes them look prefer a series of. There are – how could it be otherwise – playful references in to film and the Visual Arts.
