GULF VIEW HOME ON CAPE SAN BLAS

Are you searching for a quiet, calm get away where there are breathtaking views and comfortable surroundings? Then you have found this and more in this newly built (2024) home called Turtle Cove!

Just a short walk to Cape Palms Park across the street and you are on the beach! This area offers a covered picnic area and seating in a gazebo with a beach view. You can also access public restrooms.

You don’t have time to pack a picnic? No worries or inconvenience. Leave all your beach gear and head back to the house where you can whip up a quick lunch and sit on the porch while you relax and feel the ocean breeze.

After lunch enjoy a swim in the pool or take a nap in one of the 4 bedrooms. The ground floor is a great place for privacy and quiet with a king size bed. It would be great if you have small children. Space would allow for a portable crib.

On the second floor, there are 3 more bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king size bed, private bath with shower and a walk-in closet. The other bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub and shower. One of the bedrooms is a bunk room that sleeps 6. The other bedroom has a queen bed. The master bedroom and queen bedroom have a porch with a swing; a great sitting area for playing games.

The 3rd floor is the hub of the home. The kitchen/living room space has an awesome panorama. While cooking in the well stocked kitchen, you see the bay. While eating dinner, you can watch a beautiful sunset over the water. If you're just too relaxed from the day’s events, an elevator is available to take you down to your room for sweet dreams of your next day’s adventure on the beach or on the bay fishing!

Ample parking is available so bring your fishing boat. St. Joseph State Park, located 2 miles north of Turtle Cove is a convenient location to launch your boat for the day. You can also enjoy the scenery of another beach access surrounded by a mountain of sandy dunes.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our week here. It is close to the walkway for the beach. The pool was nice in the hot July weather. The house was clean. It appears to be full time rental rather than someone’s part time home as kitchen was a little sparse. There were no hangers in closet (not a big deal, just sparse). The downstairs room was hot compared to rest of house, not sure if AC working on main floor where my husband and I stayed. The other rooms on second floor and the third floor living space stayed cool. The decks face west so sunset was good on nights without clouds. A lot of beach houses we have stayed have chairs to take to beach, but this one does not. We ended up renting. The biggest disappointment was having our beach shade stolen from the beach. It seemed like a safe area and many others would leave their shades up since they are a lot of work to set up. Sadly ours and others got taken. Because you are close to the public walkway, the trade off is that the beach was very busy in that area so we had to walk a ways down the beach with it being a busy week.

No major issues, but would not stay againjh

Let me start by saying the company who manages the home was very communicative and responsive through text before we got there... we added damage insurance etc. and they were super helpful. However, once we got to the home and I sent them photos of issues, there was no communication at all. When we got there the bench to the dining room table was broken...if you sat on it you were going over and it was large... we had a toddler that we had to keep away from it and we didn't have enough seating at the table without it. Also, a chair in the living room was broken. I sent photos of both with no reply. Mainly wanted to make sure they didn't blame on us. On our first day, we found three large roaches on the top floor of the home... I sent photos with no reply. We found more than a few more during our stay. The biggest issue was the lack of air in the bedroom on the first floor. My husband and I stayed in that bedroom because we thought it would be best for an infant based on noise etc. That room stayed about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the home and was SO humid. Neither of us slept well the whole week. I had seen this issue in earlier reviews so I called the week before to make sure it had been fixed and they assured me it had, but it has definitely not been fixed. I am not sure if the unit is just not big enough for the home or what. We still had fun and the home had plenty of room and kids enojoyed porches, pool and beach but I would not go back.

Pretty good.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation rental space was a good size and decently clean. During our stay, we saw 4 roaches, 1 beach rat, and 3 spiders. I was disappointed in how many bugs we saw considering how much the rental costs. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

Turtle cove

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved spending a week at Turtle Cove beach house! The house was perfect for our family. It is within walking distance to the beach and offers views of the beach and bay. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and furniture, bathrooms are very nice. It is well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, TVs in all bedrooms, elevator (which worked great for sending luggage, coolers & groceries up to the 3rd floor), a pool and outdoor shower. The only suggestions I have to improve the stay would be to add hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels and maybe a box fan for people to use in the 1st floor bedroom which never cooled to same temperature as rest of the house. We will definitely be back to stay at Turtle Cove! Check in and out went smoothly and the house was clean when we checked in.

Great Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a lovely property! Across the street from public beach access/parking. Swimming pool is a bonus! The house is very comfortable with accommodating features. A/C cools the home nicely. The elevator was very accommodating for me being 8 months pregnant. The elevator would be a great convenience for elderly/handicapped individuals. It allows easy access to all the floors in the house. Elevator instructions are as followed: push the button on the wall, the elevator metal door must be closed to allow the elevator to go to each floor, if you forget to close the metal door and the house door, the elevator will not go to any other floor, once in the elevator, close both house door and metal door, push floor level button, the elevator must come to a complete stop, before trying to open metal door, this will take an additional 5-10 seconds once you’ve reached the desired floor level of your choice. Kitchen provides all necessary appliances. There are only 2 trash bags supplied. For longer stays and bigger groups bring additional trash bags, especially if you’re preparing meals. Definitely bring your own coffee, cooking oil, salt/pepper and spices. Beds are firm. The bottom floor master bedroom doesn’t get cool, as the bedrooms on the 2nd level. Bathrooms are great! There’s a huge hot water heater, so you don’t have to worry about running out of hot water for larger family groups. Bring your own blow dryer. There are plenty of towels. This again, is a great house! The location is great! I’m sure you will enjoy your stay!
