Relax and rejuvenate with a luxurious glamping experience in the woods. Off the beaten trail - Enjoy a beautiful lake-view, deluxe RV travel trailer, and amazing site for star gazing. Feel free to use the spa near the pool!

You can lay low and cook all your own meals or eat right around the corner at Walker's Bluff.

Our goal is that you leave refreshed after spending time in nature and in the beautiful wildflower camper.

Some of our favorite hiking sites in Southern Illinois are not far away and if you want to hit the wine trail you can begin just minutes away!!

Cozy up with the book you have been meaning to read or binge on movies - just leave the stress behind!

Our family and friends had a great time here. The kids loved the pool and slide and we enjoyed swimming in the pond. A dog came up super friendly. We will be back in the fall

Refreshing retreat from city life!

We enjoyed the natural surroundings alongside comforting accommodations/amenities. Perfect compromise for a family split between preferring camping and resorts! Hosts are very gracious, friendly, and responsive.

The property was lovely! The camper was clean and comfortable and quite spacious for a camper. The AC and fans made if very comfortable even with a heat advisory. My kids especially loved the pool and slides. It was such a great way to spend a few days. They host was very responsive- answering all questions in minutes- and very helpful. My kids are already asking to go back!

Peaceful Getaway

Owner was great, upon arrival had upgraded us to one of the motor homes with a private hot tub. Everything was clean and exactly as it was in the pictures on the listing. Swimming pool was also clean and wonderful to enjoy in this crazy heat! My husband also enjoyed some fishing on the property. Thanks for a trouble free stay!

Absolutely Amazing

Property was absolutely gorgeous and the host was incredible, super helpful and always responded to any questions quickly. The hosts dogs were also super friendly (both to people and dogs). Absolutely great place and will definitely be coming back again.

Great weekend away

The location was perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend. The host was quick to communicate if we had any questions or issues. We are definitely planning another trip there very soon. It is close to shopping, the casino, and the wineries.

It was a nice quiet place to relax. There were a few things i wish i would have known before arrival but they were minor. The host was very kind and attentive as far as if we needed anything and he responded quickly when we messaged.

Glamping

This was a luxury camping experience! The camper was very comfortable and communication with the host was easy and they were responsive. We loved having access to the hot tub as well. We will be back!

Most quiet and peaceful place ever been to. Hosts were wonderful, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The RV was big, clean and very well appointed. Hope to go again next year only for longer stay.

This was a wonderful stop for our family of 6 on our way from Chicagoland to Memphis. We loved it so much that we stayed on our way back as well, and my kids want to plan a trip to go back and stay for longer. The hosts were very responsive, the campers were perfectly stocked with what we needed, and the pups on property were sweet and playful.

Great location and property hosts!

The location was perfect for hitting trails or parks around Shawnee but also Carbondale as well! Hosts were super friendly and easy to get in touch with. Camper was very clean and nicely set up, they also had very friendly dogs who came and gave us company as well. We will definitely be back!

Secluded getaway close to the casino

Stayed here for an evening in order to go to an event at the casino. It was really close and a lot more affordable than a hotel room at the casino. We didn't take advantage of the pool or lake, but other campers were swimming, kayaking and fishing and appeared to have a great time.

PERFECT family getaway

We cannot say enough good things about our stay in DeSoto. The hosts are just the kind of hosts you hope for on all trips. They were extremely accommodating and their camp provides a beautiful backdrop for a family to come together to make memories. As we were pulling out of our piece of paradise, my kiddos were already trying to figure out when we could go back. Thank you Bold Family for an amazing stay and we can’t wait to come back.

Great Experience

Amazingly fun and great getaway on a budget! Camper was super clean, comfortable beds, AC works very well, all the kitchen utensils, pots and pans you could ever need. The lake is amazing! The water is so clear you can see a good 8’-10’ below the surface. We aren’t “fishermen”, but we did catch a few fish. The pool was great, and couldn’t have been any cleaner! We will definitely be back!
