Great little cottage, would be tight for four adults especially if you're going to cook a ton inside, the kitchen is small so grill as much as you can. Having said though, we had everything we needed to make great meals, Only thing I needed to buy was a couple small disposable aluminum oven sheets. Pack hand towels for the bathroom and a couple extra kitchen towels when you're packing your towels, I didn't end up using the two kitchen towels that were hanging.
The queen bed is very comfortable, the kids felt the twin beds a little too firm. We Loved the backyard, it's beautiful and well maintained, we grilled, we had a campfire, we got two bundles of wood at Shaw's and everyone loved the outdoor shower especially at night! I spent most of the week just sitting outside under the covered gazebo/screen house with my Merlin Bird App just listening.
Lots of outdoor lighting as well as some small floor motion nightlights, those were fantastic, a nice added extra waking up during the night in an unfamiliar house.
I turned up the temp in the fridge a notch, as we had some freezing of our produce and literal ice cold milk.
The multiple ac units were a blessing, thank you!
Be sure to eat at Red Cottage down the street, cash only but worth it, they've been open 72 years, great place I never would have known about it if we didn't stay right near by! Overall a great stay, peaceful and quaint, Old Timey, I've been coming to the cape since the early 80's so I felt right at home!
