Vi är en mil från ingången till Rocky Mountain National Park! Vårt hem ligger på Grand Ave., mitt i Grand Lake. Inom gångavstånd till centrala Grand Lake. Fantastisk utsikt över sjön och bergen som ligger tvärs över vårt däck. Det är så vackert att du kanske inte vill lämna huset! Fem privata sovrum och tre badrum. Barn älskar att sova på loftområdet! Vi har haft två familjeåterföreningar där med 15 personer och haft gott om utrymme. Däck är vår favoritplats att grilla ute och njuta av utsikten! Det är en fantastisk bilresa från Denver till Grand Lake. Grand Lake Nordic Center erbjuder längdskidåkning, snöskor, slangar och de är extremt prisvärda. Det finns några fantastiska restauranger i centrala Grand Lake. Massor av pittoreska presentbutiker och hantverksbutiker, museer och massor av kultur. Vandring är bäst vid Grand Lake. Du kan vandra många spårhuvuden och Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce erbjuder gratis kartor över spåren i området. Adams Falls är en kort vandring från centrum men leder till ett underbart vattenfall. Vi tog en nio mil lång vandring i sommar till LuLu City och såg lite fantastiskt landskap och förvånande djurliv. Du vill inte glömma din kamera! Lakes in Grand Lake inkluderar Grand Lake (den största naturliga sjön i Colorado), Shadow Mountain Lake och Lake Granby. Vi har hyrt paddelbåtar på Grand Lake och de var så kul. De har också en årlig seglingstävling. Under vintermånaderna kan du isfiska och de har flera turneringar i Grand County. Grand Lake-biblioteket är fantastiskt. Det är ett enormt timmerbibliotek med en vacker eldstad att sitta och läsa av. Det finns minst sex datorer som erbjuder gratis internetåtkomst. De erbjuder också gratis filmuthyrning och CD-uthyrning. Min familj och jag har tillbringat många timmar där sedan vi köpte den här egenskapen för år sedan. Om du letar efter en fantastisk plats att koppla av och varva ner är det här! Vi är bara 45 mil från Trail Head till Estes Park och det är en fantastisk, hisnande körning. Estes Park är en vacker stad med massor av presentbutiker och ett fantastiskt centrum att shoppa i. Vi gillar att besöka Estes men återvänder till den lugnare sidan av Grand Lake. The Rocky Mountain Rep. Teater är världsberömd för den talang som de rekryterar. 2011 flyttade de in i sin nya anläggning på 10 miljoner dollar. Det är fantastiskt och akustiken är fantastisk. Hela vår familj gick och tittade på en föreställning där och hade en fantastisk tid. Oavsett om du vill koppla av och umgås, vandra och se vilda djur, shoppa och äta ute, fiska eller jaga, åka skidor eller spela golf, är Grand Lake verkligen en fantastisk plats & någonstans vill du komma tillbaka för gång på gång. Huset är fullt utrustat och allt du behöver ta med dig är dina kläder. Resten är redo för dig att njuta av.

Fantastic home!

Great location, house has everything you need plus some. Great communication from the owners. We had 14 people over Christmas week and had plenty of room for everyone!

We love Grand Lake <3

The cabin is beautiful! It does overlook a rather busy street with power lines —that would be the only downside to the location. It is a gravel road though all the way from the cabin to downtown so not ideal for strollers (just FYI). Otherwise, we were able to walk to town easily. It is very close to the entrance to RNP, which was awesome! Grand Lake is such a cute town with many outdoor activities for the whole family! There was plenty of room for our entire family —all 8 adults and 5 kids. It was great to have access to washer/dryer as well. The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything we needed. We cooked/grilled all our meals! Two of the patio chairs were worn/broken so we couldn’t use them, but the lounge chairs, picnic table and large umbrella on the porch were nice! We had room to park our 3 SUVs in the driveway. Janet was great to work with. She provided clear information on check-in and check-out process. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location!!

Cozy High Altitude Living

The large log-cabin style home is situated far above Grand Lake and has some lovely views. It is set up conveniently for a family or group, and the kitchen is well-stocked with appliances. The living room has soft leather furniture which encouraged some long evenings of conversation. The rooms are as advertised and fully functional. Janet McNece was quick to answer our questions and attend to our needs. It's a nice place to stay.

Great reunion spot!

We stayed here for a family reunion and had an amazing time. The home was clean and well stocked! So much that we really overpacked with being 9 hours away. The house has so many unlisted amenities. We didn't know about bed options when booking. The loft has 2 queen beds, the main level has a king bed with private bathroom and 2nd room with a queen next to the halfway bathroom. The basement has a queen in one room and an additional bedroom with a queen bed and full over full bunks! This gave us so much more room to spread out. There was also an additional twin mattress in the basement bedroom closet We packed a folding table and chairs for more seating, but found a set in the main level bedroom closet. Mine took up a lot of space in my car so that info would be helpful for anyone planning to come. There is a market right down the hill, and there is a path to walk down. The neighbor was extremely kind and helpful and told us all the good fishing spots. The kitchen also has a crockpot for anyone not wanting to haul one along. Bring ice, or plan on grabbing some daily as the fridge can't keep up, reasonably so with so many people using it. The town is beautiful and there is so much to do! We highly recommend this property and can't wait to book again next year.

Grand Lake 4th of July

This house provided our group of 12, a mix of friends and family, the perfect location and space to enjoy the 4th of July in Grand Lake. The bedrooms were on 3 levels which allowed us to divide up groups. The large deck offered a great place to come together for drinks and dinner. It also has a great view of the fireworks. communication with owner was fast and accomodating.

4-Generation Family Vacation

The view from the deck was spectacular. The open kitchen/dining room/living room allowed us all to be together when we prepared and ate our meals. We inadvertently turned off our wifi, and the host was quick and gracious in helping us restart it. We had ample space to park 4-5 vehicles. The listing included a picture of a fire pit, but the fire pit must have been removed. This did not detract from our stay at all. We appreciated the reasonable cleanup expectations at departure. We were told to enjoy our stay, and we did! We would stay there again if we return to Grand Lake.

Great Place for a Family Vacation

What a wonderful place for a family vacation. 12 family members ranging in age from 6 to 75 had a very enjoyable time in Grand Lake. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, great view, walking distance to town, nice amenities, we couldn't have asked for anything more!

Fantastic mountain property

This home is perfectly situated close to many activities! It has a beautiful Mountain View but still easily accessible. It’s close to a market with most everything you need, a cute shopping area, lakes, skiing… we even stopped at a local hot spring for a day! Highly recommend this house!

Family Christmas

Stayed here over Christmas with a big group. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved that they had two pack and play’s available and that there was a Christmas tree up. It was a beautiful spot. The only problem we had was the heat. Some spots in the house were really, really cold ( loft and basement) and some were uncomfortably hot. ( master and living room.) Was a great stay!

Great Stay

Had a great Thanksgiving stay - House was as advertised, easy walk to town, although a bit too far for our 80+yo family member. But an easy drive back and forth as well. Plenty of room for all 9 of us, and Janet was very helpful with the one minor issue we had. Would stay here again.

Amazing spacious home!

This home exceeded our expectations in so many ways! We had 15 people (10 adults and 5 children) in our group and had plenty of space and areas for privacy for those that had to get work done or children that had to nap. The view and location are amazing! We spent a 3 day weekend playing games, boating, walking to town and hiking, and just hanging out together. This was a perfect space. There are folding chairs that can be moved to the big table and seating outside as well as at an island so we could all be somewhat together that way while eating. The kitchen is pretty well stocked although since we ate most meals there and were a huge group, we could have used larger pans and cookie sheets and things like whisk, more wine glasses, etc, but for the most part it was great! There were spices, coffee filters, and even Keurig cups available! All beds were super comfortable and even upstairs loft room was very quiet with people downstairs. There was an extra mattress available for the room with bunks that I don’t think was listed. It fit on the floor and was perfect for the teenage brother to sleep on and not with a sibling- ha! There are sample shampoos and body washes enough for everyone and plenty of towels. The host was incredibly easy to get in touch with and the check in was totally smooth. We loved our stay and would definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Lovely home w gorgeous views

Well laid out home with plenty of space! Nice sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. The home had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The large deck was super inviting for outdoor eating and hanging out - very nice views of Grand Lake! Oh - and the PAC Man game was an unexpected bonus for the kids. Very fun. We had a wonderful stay and our host was very accommodating to a couple special requests. She was very nice and was prompt with replying to any questions we had. The only thing I would say is that, although one can walk downtown from this location, it’s not a short walk…. But it’s a quick drive! I’d stay here again if visiting Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park!

Family Retreat

Perfect location to visit Grand Lake. Close enough to walk to shops & dining. Markets are right there for last minute needs. Just up the hill above the main street to see the lake and mountains. Host was super quick to reply to questions and concerns. Would love to stay agian! Thank you :)

Perfect for our large group!

This place is wonderful. We had 5 adults and 6 kids (ages 2 - 11). This place fit us all COMFORTABLY. The deck is spacious and has a beautiful view of the lake, the adults ate meals out there while the kids ate inside. The house was equipped with everything we needed - playpen, highchair, baby gate, washing/drying machines, coffee makers, cooking utensils, basic spices, dishes and towels enough for our clan, and much more. Janet was extremely responsive to all of our questions and helped QUICKLY when we had discovered we had forgotten something. I really can't say enough great things about this home and its owner, five stars doesn't even begin to describe it! We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Janet!!

We love to travel and when we discovered Grand Lake we knew we had found a gem! It is a beautiful place with tons of winter and summer activities for the entire family. The summer's are amazing with temps only in the 70's to 80's all summer long! You will create amazing memories in Grand Lake. I know that we have in all of the years we have been traveling there.
