Seadance is located on the Lost Coast of California in the charming oceanside community of Shelter Cove. This beautiful 3bd/3ba 2800 sf oceanfront luxury vacation rental home offers stunning ocean views from nearly every room to help you unwind from your every day life.

Any time of year the Northern California coast is spectacular and the Seadance offers the space, views and relaxing atmosphere to immerse yourself in the glory of nature. Whether you relax to the soothing ocean sounds and/or engage in the many local outdoor activities, you will revive your spirt on the Lost Coast and return home rejuvinated.

From the moment you open the front door, the breathtaking ocean views will capture your attention and set the mood for a relaxing getaway. With ocean views from nearly every room in the house, numerous amenities, lovely landscape and so much more, you will appreciate why the Seadance hosts numerous families who return year after year.

On the main level, captivating views command your attention from the beautiful living area which has comfortable seating areas, two full sleeper sofas, full bath and a beautiful fireplace. Also on the main level is a bedroom with a queen bed. The kitchen is well equipped with staples on hand - including a variety of spices.

Upstairs the oceanfront master bedroom has a beautiful view and opens to the balcony and includes a king bed, full bath and sitting area. The third bedroom is across from the master and offers two twin XL beds. The third bathroom is on the second level with a claw foot tub and also includes the full size washer/dryer.

The upstairs entertainment area offers another full sofa bed, TV with Roku, DVD/VHS player, hundreds of movies, books and a pool table to challenge friends and family. Additional card and board game entertainment can be found in the downstairs cupboard.

Off the main level is a 1000 sf patio, dining area and fire pit to enjoy watching the waves, looking for whales, searching for sea lions and other ocean loving creatures. Want a higher ocean view, hang out on the upstairs balcony.

The Shelter Cove Airport 0Q5 has a 3400 x 60 foot asphalt runway 12/30. General Aviation Pilots can fly free to the airport. Gyppo the famous local Brew Pub Restaurant and the Shelter Cove Campground and Deli are at the end on runway 30.

There are numerous activities within walking distance of Seadance - restaurants, gift and art galleries, deli, nature and fitness trails, tide pools, lighthouse, harbor beach, golf, blow hole and so much more.

Wonderfully relaxing and Beautiful Scenery

Seadance is a beautifully equipped home with breathtaking views and fabulous comfort! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The objective was to relax and so we did! Appreciate the plentiful comfortable furniture inside, lots of sofas, conversation spots and places to curl up with a book. Lots of space to congregate or sneak off to a quiet corner by yourself. The plentiful throws were very nice to have to snuggle with inside and out. Also appreciated the very well equipped and stocked kitchen. Lots of dishes, glassware, cookware, spices to prepare fun and enjoyable meals. But I would expect nothing less from Heidi & Randi. The balcony and seating outside is relaxing and allows you to drift away on the views and the sound of the pounding waves. We will look forward to another opportunity to return for relaxation and lovely outdoor walks. Even got a glimpse of a passing whale on the first full day we were there. We were fortunate to have crystal clear skies and beautiful sunshine all the days we were there. Only one evening of fog, but it did not linger. Winter is beautiful there. Highly recommend it, even though they call it off-season.

A little bit of Heaven

After the crazy 1 hr drive from the 101 you walk in the front door and realize it was well worth it! Spacious living areas, wonderful views, the symphony of the ocean 24/7, friendly people..... We drove out to the Redwood Forests on 4 of our days there and though the road out and back is wild just knowing what we were driving back to was a great peace of mind. We would certainly go back.

a dream

Stayed at Seadance years ago and loved it so much we came back to get married there. Absolutely gorgeous house with everything you could possible need. From assorted ziplocks, toiletries, tons of towels, tons of sheets/blankets, flashlights, bikes, extra fans, heaters and more: the best hosts of anywhere I’ve stayed. Can’t wait to keep returning.

Seadance house is the perfect family vacation spot. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain. The view is spectacular. The waves will lull you to sleep! It is absolutely perfect for a weekend or a month.

Words Cannot Describe How Amazing This Place Is

I had found this property to rent for a family vacation. It looked great from the pictures, but pictures do not do the Seadance justice. The backyard/oceanfront was unsurprisingly the main feature, with hours spent just sitting and enjoying the moment as the waves crash. As for the surrounding area, Shelter Cove, it was a quaint little coastal town that was fairly hidden. The owners really thought of everything when preparing this place for guests, as there were many forms of entertainment. Truly an all-around special place to relax and enjoy nature.

The best vacation ever.

Everything about Seadance is first class, from the owner and site manager to the house and beautiful surroundings directly overlooking the Pacific. It is the most well-equipped vacation home we've ever visited. You won't be sorry.

Beautiful Place

This is my family's second time at Seadance and it's been wonderful every time. Amazing views right on the ocean, beautiful comfortable, quiet home, has everything you would need. It's worth the long drive from SF Bay Area. We stayed in December during winter storms and the summer and this house made any weather an amazing experience.

Wedding Bells in Shelter Cove

Seadance was the perfect answer for our family wedding: a four-day event on the beaches and other locations in Shelter Cove. The house us ideally located with a magnificent view of rugged coastline and splashing surf. We enjoyed cruising the area on the excellent bicycles provided for adults & kids — with helmets!! The outdoor fire pit was perfect for our nightly s’mores gathering, under a star-filed sky. Seadance is an elegant, bright, comfortable home. Stocked with good linens, a fabulous kitchen & tasteful furniture. We cooked, played pool & relaxed. We cant wait to return!!

Amazing property!!!

This house is amazing! It is comfortable and very clean. The beds are wonderful! We had a wonderful time at the peaceful location. There is nothing we were in need of, that wasn’t provided. We hope to return again..time went way too fast! 😊

Reconnecting with nature and family in a beautiful home

The house kitchen and bathrooms have been updated since we visited last, and it was really nice! The view of the ocean is unsurpassable, along with the view of the stars and milky way at night. It was hard for us to leave and we look forward to keeping our tradition of coming back to Seadance in the future.

Of all vacation rentals, this was by far the best communication from owner and property manager. The home is very well supplied, the view cannot be beat and the Shelter Cove community was very welcoming.

Spectacular Front Row White Water View

This home ticked all the boxes. We are an adventurous family with adult children. We wanted incredible views, privacy, an open comfortable living area with various seating areas at a price that doesn't break the bank. The fire pit, pool table, and movies were fun, the kitchen was very well-stocked, and the home was tastefully decorated and immaculate. There were even bikes and helmets provided. We like to cook and planned meals and shopped beforehand which I recommend. Shelter Cove is off the beaten track, but we found plenty to do during our 6-day visit. We had a fantastic trip! The only thing I would recommend is a hot tub!

Great stay!

This was our second stay here and it was just as good as the first! The Seadance has all the amenities plus more! Everything is very clean, very comfortable beds, couches, recliners. Beautiful kitchen with ocean view. We will be coming for years to come! Highly recommended for anyone wanting the best view in shelter cove!

Great Weekend on the Coast

We really enjoyed the amenities, including the pool table and movie selection. It was warm and cozy inside as a stormy, wind-blown sea raged outside. Will look forward to coming back!

Ocean get away with a few close friends. Great opportunity for reflection watching the waves crash in.

Lovely home with breathtaking views of the ocean. So relaxing and quiet. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The home is nicely equipped. We walked, cooked and visited with our friends on the patio.

Great place on the coast!

This was our 2nd time in Shelter Cove and we had seen this house that first trip, and decided to stay there should we ever return. Turned out to be a perfect decision. The location is just amazing and the views are stellar. Communication is excellent and the house is outfitted with high-end kitchen equipment and anything else you could think of (toiletries, cleaning items, etc). Dining, morning coffee, and having drinks on the patio for us were the highlight of staying at Seadance. Highly recommend!

A slice of heaven

The views & sunsets from this house were exceptional. The house was spotless & the kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need. The bikes & corn hole were an added bonus that we didn’t even know about before we got there. I would highly recommend this house!

Breathtaking

When you first arrive at the home it appears to be a modest house in the community. As soon as you walk through the front door, your entire world just turns upside down. The ocean view is spectacular and the only comparison can come from the balcony on the second floor. The home is well appointed and there was everything we could think of. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay in their home. There are very few places that I have returned to, however, I will definitely return to this oasis that calms the soul and rests the mind.

the family enjoyed seadance again

AGAIN SEADANCE WAS FIRST CLASS AND THE FAMILY REUNION WAS A SUCCESS BECAUSE SEADANCE IS PERFECT FOR A LARGE FAMILY. IT WAS GREAT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FOGGY.

You can feel the force of nature looking out over the Pacific Ocean with unobstructed views. Here in Shelter Cove, you will step back in time to a quaint fishing village and its’ natural beauty will exhilarate your soul. It certainly has touched ours!

Seadance is very special. Previous owners Mary, Anthony and her father David, took pride in preserving this pristine ocean front home. Heidi and I, as caretakers will continue to expand and improve the level of hospitality you have come to love at Seadance to its highest level.
