Great place

Great place to stay with plenty of room. Glad to bring the family here. Towels and kitchen were stocked well. Would've been nice if the kitchen had salt and pepper and there was more stock of toilet paper and paper towels. Overall still had a wonderful stay.

Improvements needed

Check-in was difficult since the code to the gate was the wrong number. We notified the person on call but received an answer the next morning. We finally found a security person who helped let us in.We felt the living room should have more seating, the toilet seat on the main floor was cracked and the pots and pans need to be replaced. There were no kitchen necessities like salt and pepper or oil. Main floor bedroom had only one set of bath towels.

Great location

Property was clean and was as described. Spacious and our family of 6 fit in well. It can use a couple of updates, main floor bathroom vanity, shower rod and toilet bowel seat. Unit was great for location and price.

The towels were new, but sheets need replacing (also mentioned in a note left by a former renter). The downstairs bed needs to be fixed and it would have been nice to have more supplies for 5 people.

Nice place

We stayed 11 nights in Jan 2025. Party of 5: 2 adults, 2 adult children & 1 teenager.The Pros:The condo was extremely clean.2 of the air conditioners worked well.Security was good.Nice & quiet.Internet worked good.Parking was a breeze.This entire property does not even have a smoking area - so no smelling those nasty cigarettes at all!! Located close to SHRIMP TRUCKS! When we reported a problem, it was addressed promptly.The Cons:The master bedroom mattress was so hard it was painful to sleep on. The second bedroom mattress was so soft you sink into it. Felt like Goldilocks!The second bedroom air conditioner did not work.The shower in the main bathroom had firehose type pressure, uncomfortable to use at all.There were no common spices, cooking oil or baking sheets in the kitchen.The dryer vents INSIDE the condo, so when you use the dryer the whole condo gets hot and humid.Be advised: there are no beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler or beach umbrella for guests to use. We purchased these items & gave them away when we left.Overall nice place & would stay here again.

Directions were tricky finding the right Door/building. #112 is the trick, not 57-110 that's for the area of town and address of the resort. Locals would know I guess. Great location between everything in North Shore and Turtle Bay. 1 minute drive or 10 minute walk to resort and resort beaches. Place needs some work. Back door broken, ACs ok for bedrooms, but not main room. Hot water is in short supply if everyone is getting ready at the same time. Overall a little outdated...

Great location and condo

Reviewer Comments: North Shore is an amazing place and this is perfectly situated to visit the east and west side of the island equal distance to Waikiki no matter what direction of travel so you can experience it all. The condo was clean and comfortable with only 2 minor things to note. The AC's are window units and only 2, one in each bedroom, none in the loft or living space. Also, we wanted to cook dinners so we bought stuff to oven bake only to realize there is not one pan that is oven safe, no foil either. We had to cook on the oven only. Very private unit, close parking spot, close to the pool and a block from the golfs bar and grill if needed.

Amazing location for relaxing family fun!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had spent a few days in the hussle and bustle of Waikiki and were ready to relax. Kuilima estates definitely provided a beautiful much needed relaxation. Our family loved the proximity to all the local beaches, the safety of turtle bay is a factor that helped us choose kuilima and we LOVED it. The suite is well taken care of with a few things that could use some tweaking. The beds were absurdly uncomfortable. Pilly sheets made it even worse (just throw them out). If management could pay attention to the little things the stay could be even better. Squeaky ceiling fan and Screaming dryer. Loved our stay would be happy to return to the area.

But things need repair like new screens, coat of paint on the fridge doors due to rust, small touch ups on the walls. The biggest issue is the window in the upstairs master. It is right above the window that doesnt close all the way, a d the screen isntthe right size for the window, so the ac below it is blowing cold air that goes out the window that cant close, plus the critters that can come in because of the inch gap around the screen.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Front desk never got word of our check-in with gate security. Communication with property management was difficult. Location was great with the Fazio course closed, but lots of street traffic noise. Unit worked for 2 couples & 2 children. A/C is a joke - very noisy and location doesn't cool down even the room it's in. Loft is warm. Shower curtains didn't keep water from spraying out and downstairs shower head water pressure is too strong. Stairs also need to be more secure. Kitchen is fine, pool was a hit.

Nice property, could use some updates

A very nice property in a beautiful part of the island. Very close to many beaches with beautiful sunsets. However, is not close to anything else, restaurants and shopping are all 15 to 30 minutes away and most island activities are more like an hour. If you leave after sunset, add another 30 minutes. The property could use some minor repairs. When we walked in, a screen was off the window, which I repaired myself. The screen door for the patio/lanai did not close properly, so it did not really keep the bugs out. The air conditioning consists of two window units that are very loud and are not allowed to be run all day long. Thankfully, there was always a decent breeze off the ocean that they were not needed, at least in late March. The hair dryer that was provided literally burst into flames in my wife's hand, but the property manager was very prompt in bringing a new one to the unit. I was a little concerded about that at first, because some of my earlier messages to them were not being returned, but they came through on the biggest complaint. My only other complaints would be that the unit did not seem sufficiently stocked to support 5 people, even to just start the week, knowing that it is not intended to last all week. Also, the unit seemed too sterile. It seems as though anythjng that a previous renter may have left was removed from the property. It isn't required, but usually people leave a few spices, but there was nothing. Overall, we had a good stay.

KEEP LOOKING, TRUST ME

Do NOT rent from this management company! We came to Turtle Bay for our daughter’s wedding. We rented 5 condos, only this one was from this management company. The unit was not clean. Had pee on the tile behind and on base of the master toilet. The unit had a urine smell. The toaster did not work and some lamps didn’t work (management took care of the toaster and the lamps, nothing else). Management acknowledged the urine issue but did nothing to fix or clean it. They charged us a fee for use of a pack n play. There were no beach toys or chairs. There is no A/C which is fine but the fans were covered in a sticky dust. The beds were springy and sagged in the middle. The bedding was old and dingy. The couch, which seats 3 uncomfortably is old and hard, same with the kitchen table. The water did not get hot in the showers. I asked to be switched to another unit. There were other units available but they refused to move us. All of the other units we rented had a pack n play, high chair, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, mats. They all had nice beds, bedding, updated comfortable furniture. We left 2 days early and paid for a hotel room rather than stay any longer on those beds. We also paid more for this unit than for any of the others. They charged an exorbitant service fee (more than twice the other units) which covered nothing. I asked what it covered and they didn’t respond. I’m not sure why every review doesn’t say the same thing. We were highly disappointed.
