Getting Around:
We are in the heart of the Medical District, super close to the United Center and The Loop! The Illinois Medical District (IMD) is a special-use zoning district two miles west of the loop in Chicago, Illinois.

Before we can confirm any booking, we do need to know:
1. What brings you into town?
2. How many people will be staying at the home?
3. Do you expect any visitors, if so how many?

We hosted thousands of guests across 5 states, with an average rating of 4.6 stars.

We do not have keys or access to our mailbox.

We do have Ring Cameras outside the property. Any blocking of the cameras will lead to an automatic eviction, forfeiture of security deposit, no refund and a fine. Please do not block these cameras.

We do NOT allow late check out. There is a charge of $25/10 min after 11AM.
$250 for lockout fee or not placing back keys
By booking with us, if there is any violation of our house rules, you agree to forfeit your right to leave any review.
NO OUTSIDE GUESTS (all guests must be included in reservation total) unless approved by host, $100 per unauthorized guest each night.

$500 fine per night for any unauthorized pets. This listing is not pet friendly!

If a security team is called due to an infraction of the house rules, the guest agrees to pay for the security team ($500 minimum) and the duration of the reservation, even if removed by the security team due to the infraction.

Please DO NOT flush feminine products/paper towels/any foreign substance down the toilet (ONLY toilet paper). It is not good for the pipes and if there is an issue we may pass the charge onto the guest.

Please no burning of candles, incense, or anything else in the home. If done, this will be treated as “smoking” in our house rules.

RING CAMERA on exterior of property by entrance door. Do not block camera. This camera does record motion and is for safety purposes. Blocking of camera will lead to automatic eviction, fine of $500 minimum and NO refund. Please do NOT block.

The area is great, and the pictures match the unit. However, both sinks have leaks, causing not only mold, but a distinct mildew smell throughout the entire unit. It was bad enough where it was difficult to fall asleep. I messaged the host informing them of the leaks, with pictures. They said they'd send someone out, but never did.

Although the host was very friendly and did give us a 50 inconvenience refund, the property was very unpleasant. The smell of sewer was so strong and didn’t go away. Even though they had plenty of air fresheners in the place. We went to the 7 eleven and bought more spray fresheners. There were dirty socks left under one of the beds, the floors were filthy, spiders webs and dead bugs in all the corners. A bottle of cooking oil was covered in little bugs. The walls had visible holes in them and need cleaning. The a/c either didn’t work properly or wasn’t actually an a/c but more of a central fan. Luckily, it was cool out and we stayed out of the property as much as possible. Most of our complaints could’ve been over looked or dealt with, but not the smell. We already paid 1000, which was non-refundable, so leaving wasn’t much of an option. Also, you have to sign a short to rental agreement, plus pay outside of VRBO. The parking situation is not ideal, and confusing since the street signs say permit 5 parking only. Never found the free parking the rental talks about. It is located in a great neighborhood in Little Italy and has a great neighborhood bar next door.

Do not stay unless you have a very tight budget. Smells awful, mosquitoes everywhere.This place was very uncomfortable to stay in. Upon arrival, we were greeted with dead AND alive mosquitoes accompanied by a waft of mildew and sewage emanating from the kitchen. It’s very weird because the place was indeed still clean - bedding was clean, bathroom was clean, lots of towels provided. But the smell was overpowering - maybe they got flooded or something. There were dead mosquitoes all over the beds and floor. The ones left alive were huge and all over the place - we had to kill them our first night. Chicago has confirmed cases of west Nile so we were very concerned. We did not use the kitchen much but when opening up the cupboards and drawers, we saw more mosquitoes and even spiders inside.The AC doesn’t really work either. For some reason the AC vent is covered by a closet door and doesn’t actually circulate in the home, so it never reached below 76 the whole weekend. Giving 2 stars for the location (easy access to the city) and the host did send in someone to help check out these issues but it was to no avail. They just gave us a ton of plugin air fresheners which did nothing.This place makes no sense because some aspects were fine- beds were comfortable and the kitchen seemed well equipped. Why not fix the other issues too?We got what we paid for (maybe a little bit less) but we def wouldn’t have stayed here if we knew about these issues. How they

Good, Room for Improvement

The hosts were very responsive to us throughout our entire stay. However, when we arrived the door to the unit was blown wide open which spooked us because we got in after dark. The unit looked like it hadn’t been cleaned well, with a lot of hair still on the floor and within the bedsheets, and a suspicious dark stain on one of the comforters. If someone in your party plans to sleep on the couch, bring an extra blanket as one is not provided. The unit is in a great area of town with easy quick access to downtown Chicago, and a fine place to stay for a night or two.
