Lovely little cottage! Easy drive into town. Close to the Ecola State Park which I highly recommend. The master is up a spiral staircase which is hard with luggage. And the rooms are small. But would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location very quiet and close to Ecola and Indian Beach. Away from the main part of town. Woke up one morning to see two elk in front (spike and doe) Beach was short walk up a fairly steep hill.

This is a great little place. Beach is within easy walk. The bunk bed was a bit small for a full size adult. Very nice accommodation.

We had a great time over a long weekend. My wife and two adult children enjoyed the space. The location is perfect for walking into town and spending time on the beach. We will be back!

Charming, Cozy, and the Perfect Cannon Beach Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my childhood best friend's and my third stay, and we love it! It is close to the Ecola Park entrance, Chapman beach (our evening beach fire / marshmallow roasting spot), and an easy walk into town. Elk even had a snack in the fenced backyard during our recent visit. The minute we arrived, our dogs' tails wagged nonstop! We appreciate the friendly and helpful rental staff, too. Calipso Cottage has everything you need for a perfectly relaxing Cannon Beach vacay! We will see you next year!

We're thankful for the stay, but we found that the home wasn't very clean. We even had to fold the towels in the dryer because there wasn't any for us. This home really needs a deep cleaning. We had to leave a day early because our daughters couldn't stop sneezing when they were in the home and it really didn't smell great. If you're okay with it being a little dirty and very outdated, the location was unmatched. It was so close to the beach and the town center without being in all the chaos. The neighborhood is adorable and we got to watch Elk trot down the street daily. The property management did a great job responding us when we asked for early check in.

This is an excellent, eclectic cottage property in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy walking access to north Cannon Beach. It is quaint, with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Laundry is outside on the side of the building and fenced backyard is perfect for a dog. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would not hesitated to rent again.

Weekend getaway

Great birthday weekend getaway. House was nestled in a quiet, friendly neighborhood just on the outskirts of town. We would rent this house again in the future.

The property was clean. The management was very communicative. However, some expected items were missing (shampoo, conditioner, basic cooking ingredients). The furnace was extremely loud. It was strange to have personal photos on the walls. The space was good for 2-3 people. Anymore would be a squeeze.

Delightful cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay at the Calipso Cottage. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us plus our two pups. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware. The furnace did stop working while we were there, but the property manager immediately brought over an electric heater and plenty of firewood for us, and everything was warm and cozy again. There was easy access to the beach, and we saw elk out on the beach at sunset on our second night there. We also walked into town, and enjoyed the holiday lights. All in all it was a wonderful vacation at a lovely home.

Nice home

This home was nice and in a quiet area. The- beach access is up a big hill and then down a very steep sand hill which isn’t great for some people. The listing said there was clothes washing machine but THERE IS NOT! This was an issue as we had travelled before getting here and counted on washing clothes.

It is a cute small house . Perfect for the 3 of us and our dog. There is definitely a washer dryer out next to the house in a little room. Plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen we enjoy cooking so that was nice. The hill to get to the beach is a bit much and it’s quit a hike to the beach especially with a kid. We just opted to drive to a different access point. Also the walk to town with a kid was a little farther than we thought. So we drove and parked down town. But again it’s a small town and was no big deal. Over we enjoyed the house.

Our stay at Calipso Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was perfect for us,we celebrated our 40th anniversary there. beds were super comfortable, as was the furniture. Kitchen was great, nice having a dishwasher. Wish there was a clothes washer and dryer (somehow I missed that when booking), but we managed. So close to the beach, loved the walk there and also an easy walk to town! We enjoyed the shops and galleries!! Also a quick drive to Seaside and Astoria which was great!! The big pine tree in the front deck was a bit of a pain as it dripped sap on the car no matter where we parked, but it washed off fairly easily. We stayed the first two weeks of June, weather was great.

It's somewhat rustic but nice. The refrigerator door showed signs of stains but the inside was clean. Overall it was a good experience. The only three negatives was that there was no umbrella for the front deck area to enjoy the deck, found some kind of medicine(pill) under the bed, and the backyard was unusable due to all the weeds and grasses. It would have been nice if they had mowed prior to our arrival.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Its a good home away from home but needs a few items fixed. The front and back have deck boards that need replacing and could be a hazard. The spiral stairs would be accessible by more if there were some traction strips on the stairs. While its a well loved house, its at the point where it needs a deep cleaning and some;painting. The futance may need to be checked as it makes a load bang each time it turns on.
