The property suited us perfectly- it had a cabin like feel with modern amenities. Clean, well presented, well stocked with dishes and basic supplies. Easy access to Volcano National Park. Very relaxing, we wished we could have stayed longer!

What a great time we had at Treehouse Cottage. Arriving was hindered by being brain dead after the flight, and also not fully following directions. But the host was awesome! Talked us through corrections and made it before nightfall. And you do want to arrive by dark as it's very dark. Security lights guided us into parking. Once inside we were amazed to see all the amenities. A nice kitchen, stove and refrigerator, TV and music system. A great collection of cds, dvd movies and Hawaiian vinyl albums. Comfortable bedroom and bath. All very clean. As we were close to the volcano we went many times, sunrise, sunset, bubbling lava,even when the parks road closed and we were the only people at the lookout. We were able to leave a day early at the suggestion of owner as Hurricane Nolo was headed our way and received quick refund for the night missed.The owner was very informative the whole time. Everything was great and we hope to come back in the future.

Excellent jungle experience! Used as a hub for Hilo/Volcano area day trips and it was perfect for what we wanted—an immersive more local vibe experience.

This was a truly peaceful little cabin near some great natural areas. It's as if someone took the north woods cabins that I'm used to and transformed it for a tropical locale. We would love to come again, as we barely scratched the surface of what this area has to offer.

Loved this property....the closeness to Volcanoes National park and yet srill remote in the rainforest. Highly recommend to anyone coming to the park.

We loved this VRBO. It was fully equipped with everything you’d need, was homey, lived in, and comfortable. We loved the deck and its proximity to the park. Someday we will come back!!

The host was very welcoming. He let us know ahead of time the dryer was not working. When we had issues connecting to the WiFi he responded very quickly The house was clean. We enjoyed the different coffee making selections. The heating pad on the bed was a nice addition. Plenty of towels and beach towels.

This is a charming, rustic "treehouse" nestled in the rain forest. The host was amazingly communicative and helpful. You can tell that the family actually spends time here as the kitchen has everything you meed to cook a real meal. We visited in December, and you do need to get that fire going and turn on the heaters ASAP. The bedroom area looked a little cramped in the photos, but it actually felt fine in person.
