A Three Month Break from Winter

My husband and I made this property our home for three months. Emerald Island is a beautiful resort and extremely well kept. Our home was lovely and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The home does need some updates, but overall met our needs. The "Management" was very quick to respond to any issue(s) that we contacted them with.

Felt like I was walking on eggshells

We had a short girls' trip with 3 of us. Parking is $20 for a vehicle, which is not stated before paying. Before we even arrived we were hit with so many rules I was scared to do anything in there due to fear of being charged. At first glance the house is pretty but as you start looking around it’s hard to understand why so many rules. Doors are all scuffed up and didn’t close properly. A/C you cannot have lower than 72 which I’m sure would be fine but they have it on engery saver so it somehow ends up changed in the middle of day/night to 74-76 degrees which is crazy in the middle of the summer. The outside fan only works sometimes. If you stain a white towel they are charging you $10 per towel. All trash must be bagged or you’ll be charged $25 but the neighbors trash was a mess. And all TV’s are not smart tv’s I believe only the living room tv is a smart tv. All in all it was decent for the price but entirely too many rules which,made it uncomfortable and annoying.
