Family Getaway

We had a great time! You can cut through the backyard clearing to make a much shorter walk to the beach. Kids loved the pool.

The place was a great place to stay with our large extended family. The shortcut path to the beach has been closed with a no trespassing sign. The pool was outstanding, and it was super clean. It was very nice after the beach. To access the beach, we went to the 4 x 4 entry point 27, about a13 minute drive south of the house. It made for an easy way to pack all the beach stuff and people to the beach without a long walk.

1. Couldn't get into the place at 4 because we were given wrong internet password. Had to contact vrbo direct. Couldn't open door with code. 2. Place was not cleaned, waited till 6 p.m. to get in. 3.The place was ok but could use some upgrades. 3. The couches were very uncomfortable, a board was in the middle under cushions and hurt when sitting there. 4. The air conditioner only worked on top floor, was fixed 2 days later. 5. THE WORST PROBLEM WAS THE ANTS, they were everywhere. Asked for an exterminator but no one came. If you dropped anything, they were all over it. DISGUSTING! Also, killed two cockroaches on top floor, and the one bedroom on lower level had bugs in the bed. This is the 6th time we have stayed in the outerbanks and have always enjoyed our stay, its beautiful there. But, this was the worst vacation home we have evered stayed at.I realize there are bugs but, this place needed externinated. It is hard to sleep when you're worried about bugs crawling on you. We looked so forward to our vacation, but your home was the worst I have stayed at. However, the cleaning crew did a great job. Extremely disappointed from Pennsylvania.

Perfect getaway!

Everything about the property was perfect! Plenty of space, thoughtful amenities, and close to the beach. The host was so accommodating and responded to each of our calls/messages promptly. We had 5 kids, 6 adults, and a dog and had more than enough space. I loved that each couple had their own bathroom (as well as a bathroom designated for the kids which was great!). We were blown away with all that was readily available from robes, games, cookware, and beach equipment to name a few (now we know for next time to pack lighter). The pool and hot tub were the icing on the cake. We couldn’t be happier with the rental and look forward to booking again!
