Situation Excellente

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’appartement est conforme à la description et très bien situé, juste à coté du Colisée. Gianluca est très réactif et nous a permis de déposer nos valises plus tôt à notre arrivée. Nous recommandons fortement

Good location, disappointing accommodation

Pros: easy access to Metro and Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill. Comfortable bed, good shower, nice towels. Cons: the owner sent his friend to meet us. You have to unlock 3 doors to get in and out. The courtyard was under renovation and very dirty including a portable toilet and scaffolding. Not the scene depicted in the photo. The floor in the apartment was like a road brick and you couldn't put anything down as it would be dirty. The door to the apartment is glass and there is a light left on all night in the courtyard which shone through and from the courtyard you can see through into the apartment if the light was on. Air conditioning did not work well.

Perfect location for the marathon

It was a perfect location for the marathon that started at the Colosseum. Even to go and visit it's pretty central. The place was clean and had everything I needed. It was a little bit humid but with the dehumidifier on, the temperature in the studio was perfect. I really enjoy that place and would go back there if I'm in Rome.

Great Location - Super Friendly Owner - Adorable Apartment

I couldn't have been more proud of choosing this apartment thanks to all the great reviews on VRBO! You will be too if you choose this place! It is super close to the Colliseum - literally around the corner - which means you are also a 5 min walk to the Metro station! The street across the Colliseum is also where the apartment is, is lined with taxi's. What is great, is your close to the action (10 mins from the Piazzo) - but yet the street where the apartment, is tucked away - and quite quiet!! There is restaurant and pub nearby including a supermarket. The apartment itself has everything you need, free wifi, a large shower (for European standards!), a clean bathroom and kitchen with fridge and stove (but why cook inside when you are surrounded by amazing restaurants?). The bed is not bad and the sheets were clean. A very modernly updated facility in a safe part of town. If you are looking for a place to put your bags down for a comfortable rest but yet be close to everything!! The owner is super sweet, sincere and super helpful! :)

A studio apartment in the heart of Rome

We enjoyed the studio apartment, it was just a block away from the Colleseum, and other historical places. The apartment was unique, a little of the past and a little of the modern. The tall ceiling was impressive as was the courtyard. The owner did everything he could to accomodate us. We'd stay there again. The neighborhood consisted of lots of cafes and grocery stores - most convenient! A couple of suggestions for improvement - a shower curtain would be nice and if there were built in electric adapters. One big drawback was that the sheets felt damp for some reason.

Excellent base for couples or singles visiting Rome

My wife and I just spent 5 nights here and found the apartment perfect for our needs and very reasonably priced. Gianluca is very nice and proved totally reliable and good to deal with. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. It is a ground floor studio, modern and comfortable and attractive but not deluxe. The location is great, the AC worked very well even in some serious heat, it was nice to have the kitchen with fridge, there is appealing food nearby (as well as plenty of in appealing tourist traps), and great cappuccino across the street costs 1euro.

The apartment was as promised and Gianluca was a great host! You have everything you need for a short stay in Rome. The property is clean and well-maintained. We stayed here the last 3 nights of a five week tour of Italy, and I must say that the bed in this apartment was the best we had slept in. This apartment is very, very near the Colosseum and a decent walk to many of the main attractions. There is a restaurant right outside the entrance and several grocery stores nearby. I would highly recommend staying here.

A Truly Special Stay

An incredible way to enjoy Rome & practice Ashtanga at a trendy, charming and comfortable apartment at the heart of Rome; the property owner --Gianluca --was superb, friendly, responsive and professional. excellent location and service

We had a very pleasant time in Rome due to the wonderful studio location -walking distance to Metro, Taxi station and all central Rome monuments. Many restaurants and stores near by. Wireless internet , AC inside provided plus the outside patio is a gem. Quiet and safe area Gianluca service is friendly and very professional -we got limousine service back to airport We will definitely recommend it to anyone Adrian , Dorina

Great location to Colosseum

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome at this property. It had all the comforts of home and was in a great location to the Colosseum, Metro and great restaurants all within walking distance. We were met by the owner who offered us info on the area and recommendations for dining. The room was spacious and the shower was awesome!

A positive experience

We didn't actually stay at the property, but had a very positive experience. I had reserved and made a deposit on the apartment in June 2012 for November 2012. Then our travel plans suddenly changed when my sister decided to join us and we needed a larger place for four people. Gianluca was very prompt in helping us cancel and refunding the full deposit. It was a pleasure to work with him because he is professional and reliable.

Great Location

We made a good choice in picking this property. Very clean and quiet, equipped with eveything needed for a enjoyable stay. Owner Gianluca is very nice and helpful. Air conditioner works quite well. Located one block from Colosseum and Forum in a nice residential neighborhood with many restaurants and a grocery store just 200 feet away. Colosseo Metro stop is only about a 10 minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.

A Perfect Rome Location

My wife and I have recently returned from 2 weeks in Italy and the decision to start here in this apartment was a great choice. 3 nights was not enough. Perfect for a couple. I can not imagine a better location to explore all that Rome has to offer. Do not drive in Rome if you can avoid it. The proximity to the Metro and busses makes this very easy from here.The apartment is so well equipped and layed out you will feel like you are in a much bigger place. The outdoor garden area is very peaceful and so is the neighborhood. As mentioned before, the area is full of shops and restaurants. Be sure to get Gianluca's suggestions-he is a wonderful host- on where to eat as there are some that are a bit of tourist trap. The place next door though is very good and authentic Italian. Will definitely try to stay here again when we have another chance to explore wonderful Rome. Thank you Gianluca!

Cosy, well finished apartment in a good location

We stayed at Gianluca's studio apartment for three nights. The apartment is immaculately clean and appears to have been refinished very recently - I agree with a previous reviewer that the photos probably don't do the apartment justice. The furnishings and fittings were very modern (nicer than we've got at home...), the lighting was clever considering the small number of exteral windows and the bed was comfortable. Although the apartment is naturally quite cool, we did use the air conditioning occasionally and it worked well. The shower is beautifully tiled, though be warned that there isn't as much hot water as in a North American set up so showering became a pretty efficient process. Also, the shower floor can get slippery so be careful. Bathroom was kitted out with a good hair dryer, kitchen had an electric kettle (yay!). The apartment had a functional and well designed small kitchen - as was typical with another Italian apartment we rented in Florence, there were two gas burners on the stove, no oven. Apartment had a fridge, no washing machine for clothes though we noted several laundromats in close proximity. The apartment is on the ground floor of a three or four story building. You enter through a locked courtyard, then the apartment itself has a cage door and the base door, both also lockable so we felt very secure. Within about a 5 minute walk to the Colisseum, the area was busy with restaurants (there ia a popular one literally next door), there's a small grocery store two blocks away (with somewhat mystifying hours, so get what you need when you see it open!) - but the only noise we ever really heard was from inside the apartment courtyard and only during the day. The apartment stays very quiet and is a great retreat from busy Rome. Was good to come back in the late afternoon, have a little cool siesta, the head back out in the early evening. Gianluca was very helpful, booked us a private car service to the airport for our early morning flight back to Canada (50 euros which we felt was money well spent for the reliability of making our flight on time, you can also book a regular cab for 40 euros). We tried two eating places in close proximity to the apartment - Propoganda was trendy but sort of mediocre (we're probably not that trendy though!). Our favourite meal was from a little takeaway pizzeria a block away - for six euros we shared a surprisingly delicious thin crust pizza straight out of the oven. We had a great stay.

Charming and cosy studio in a perfect location

I stayed in this studio for 4 days, and it was the best choice for sure: cosy, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The area Celio is a perfect location in Rome, just 2 minutes away from Ancient Rome; all the streets around the studio are full of nice restaurants, pizzerias, coffeshops. Moreover the owner Gianluca was caring and helpful, and gave me lots of useful suggestions. I will definitely go back next year. Massimiliano

Great apartment, great neighborhood

We were on vacation with our five-month-old and stayed at this fantastic apartment. The space itself is very nicely done, immaculate, peaceful, and has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We know since we spent a lot of time in the actual apartment with a sleeping baby! In addition, the neighborhood was both convenient to tourist attractions (mere steps to the Coliseum!) but also residential enough to escape the massive tour groups. And great food.... On top of everything, the owner was a pleasure -- responsive, responsible, helpful and kind. We couldn't have asked for more.

Week in the Capital

I was in Rome for business for a couple of days and I was happy to have selected this neighborhood and this studio which was comfortable and charming. Definitely a place I want to suggest if you head to Rome. By the way, the owner is very helpful and caring (also gave me a couple of suggestions for delicious restaurants in the area). The yard of the building is ....romantic.
