Just ok.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our original room was the second one in from the ocean and had a decent view (over the berm) from the balcony and the front door. Unfortunately the A/C didn't work so they moved us to another room further inland and the view was mostly parking lot and dumpster from the front door. Didn't like it much. Proximity to the beach is nice but the units are very small. And noisy in the unit they moved us to closer to the street!! Trucks, trucks, trucks!! Customer service was top notch, though. Thank you to everyone that made the transition very easy.

Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always Island Realty is the best. The property could use a bit of an upgrade especially the couch. It's terrible for sleeping. The sofa bed is very hard to get set up and very uncomfortable. I've stayed in this property for two years and it has been the same.

No Frills Room

Location, location, location!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property could certainly use some updating. Carpets were stained and had a good bit of wear. Refrigerator freezer compartment had rusted shelving. Outside door was worn and cracked. One of the chairs on the balcony had a seat that was so stretched and worn that it should have been thrown out. Couch was a sleeper sofa and it was pretty much sunk in.For the positives it is on the first floor and you still have a view of the ocean. Easy access to the beach and pool as well as the laundry facility. All of the appliances worked and there were adequate kitchen utensils for us. The condo was clean.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was adequate for a short stay. It was mostly clean. Supplied somewhat less than what we needed. For example, not enough silverware for a family of 4. Extremely small. The entire property has a view of the parking lot. The best view is from the coin operated laundry. Property not maintained as we are accustomed to; a pile of lawn refuse was piled up the entire stay taking away from much what would have been more convenient parking. Don't think we would stay again.

Think Again!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is very outdated! It needs serious attention and Island Realty should consider taking it off their rental program if the owners are not willing to upgrade some items. The couch is old, broken down, and disgusting. The mattress is old and VERY uncomfortable. The carpet is old and disgusting. We also found a marijuana roach on the bookshelf, so the unit was obviously not cleaned well. Island Realty was notified.We have been coming to IOP for 29 years. This is one of the worst units we have ever stayed in. Do your research on the units and trust the reviews! I had seen previous reviews but didn't think it could be that bad. Think again!

Great location -- unit could use some TLC

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Starting with the positives, the unit is in a great location. You can walk right to the beach and are close to restaurants and a grocery store, which came in handy. The smart TVs were nice to have as well. The kitchen had all of the utensils and cookware you'll need. Also, I have to give a shoutout to the staff. We were traveling with a teething, sunburnt 10-month-old, and the staff was able to accommodate an early check-in. The check-in process was seamless and the staff were responsive when I reached out via text. As for the negatives, the unit itself could use some TLC. The couch in the unit needs to be replaced. It is a pullout couch, but I wouldn't wish a night's sleep on it on my worst enemy. I know couch beds aren't typically the most comfortable, but the springs in this one jab and prod you as soon as you sit down on it, and if you do sleep on it, don't even think about adjusting yourself. We had family staying in other units at the same time as we were here and those had been updated and were much nicer. The unit was as clean for the most part, but again, that couch. It had some stains that looked to be permanent at this point. There were also a couple of pieces of trash behind the couch from previous guests. If you're looking at this location, I’d recommend a different unit. There are other nicer first-floor options, or you can look to spend a little more to go up to the third floor where the view is incredible.We hope to return, but we will not come back to this unit.

When the heat didn't turn on-and the nights were very chilly, management brought us 2 space heaters. Also,they were very cooperative in giving us compensation. I would suggest putting a bar and a shelf in the shower.

My Happy Place!

Reviewer Comments: So glad to be back at Sea Cabins with the pier, beach, and ocean right there! We chose first floor with fewer steps to climb. We prefer more ocean view from the second level.Flew down from Canada, so no car. But, we knew we could walk to basic needs: grocery, restaurants, etc. Uber driver was great when required.Our condo had plenty of kitchen equipment. Balcony had four chairs!Only a couple things: LR carpet needed shampooing. BR window needed better coverage as outside night light shone onto our pillows. Lastly,the sofa cushions were too soft for us seniors. Not complaining... no snow or ice here. I had fun sketching and writing poetry when not enjoying pier or beach walks! Housekeeping staff were a big help! 🌴🌊👍💕

The bathroom has been updated nicely, hopefully the kitchen will be next. A new mattress in the bunks and bedroom would go a long way as they are hard. Carpet would do well being replaced with the same nice flooring in the bathroom. It's a relatively nice space for spending time in after a day at the beach.

Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit had very wet carpet around the island; we thought something had been spilled on the carpet. It took a couple of days to figure out that the water was coming from a leak in the dishwasher. Island Realty was great to work with and moved us to another unit which was very nice. They had people working on the unit so I would assume the problem was resolved. The carpet really needed to be replaced it was pretty old.

Happy on first floor

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay in the Sea Cabins regularly, but this is the first time we stayed on the first floor, because so little was available. We were surprised that the view from this condo was still decent, with the ocean often n view along with the pier. We liked that the condo still has carpet in the living area (most have gone to vinyl etc.) The bed and sofa are beginning to age, so that would be a recommendation from us (to upgrade). Also, it would really be nice if high chairs were part of the balcony, since it is on the first floor. But, we very much enjoyed our stay, and while we prefer the 3rd floor for view, we were pleasantly surprised how nice this view and condo were.

Annual Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Sea Cabins for just over 20 years now and we always enjoy our stay. This is the first year that we have stayed in this unit. It was very convenient to the fishing pier, beach access and pool. It being close to the steps made it very easy to carry all of our stuff into the room. While the unit was clean, it definitely needs a little love. The textured ceiling was coming down in the living room as well as the bathroom and kitchen. The faceplate was missing on the plug next to the refrigerator. Needs paint and caulk in the kitchen along the counter tops. Bathroom has recently had some work done and is in good shape with the exception of the ceiling. The carpet in the living room also needs to be cleaned or replaced. We will definitely be back, but will definitely book a different unit.
