Charming Michigan City Cottage

Enjoy a getaway steps from Lake Michigan's Sheridan Beach in this cozy cottage that is great for quiet comfort, family fun, a romantic getaway, or a weekend with close friends. There are many activities nearby including Washington Park Marina/Park/Zoo, Sheridan Beach, Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Premium Place Outlets, and downtown Michigan City restaurants, all a short walk or bike ride away. The area also has several wineries and breweries. Additionally, for those wanting to enjoy concerts, sporting events or a day trip exploring Chicago, the South Shore Line now offers a 67-minute train to Chicago from 11th Street in Michigan City, which is approximately two miles from the cottage.

The beach is just a four-minute walk from the front door. We provide a beach wagon, two beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, a cooler, a few ice packs, and some sand toys for your enjoyment.

The serene back patio is surrounded by trees and is great for relaxing in the evenings. A grill is provided but please clean this after use.

The charming house features 1 queen bed in the primary on the main floor and two double beds in the upstairs loft. There is one full bathroom with a shower. A hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are provided for your convenience. The home has a television with a Roku for you to log in to watch your streaming services. We also have WiFi and a small selection of books to borrow for your next good read.

Such a cute place within a short distance to the beach. Well appointed with amenities- more than most places I’ve stayed at before! A great dog friendly place with water and food bowls!! We enjoyed our stay!

Small Little Cottage

We enjoyed our stay so much! This cottage is so close to the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the patio area and fire pit in the evening. The host was so accessible and answered questions quickly! Would definitely stay again!

Great Location and Value

As a family of 6, the house served its purpose. It was clean and welcoming. The walking distance to the beach was great and easy to manage with the supplied wagon to help haul gear. Great value and location.

Overall everything was great. Had a little hiccup at check in with the code provided not working, but we were able to contact the host and fixed asap. Cozy little spot to respite for a few days.

The location was close to the beach and the Michigan City Park. Short drive to Indiana Dunes. Everything was clean and the neighbor living across the way was friendly. Suited our needs well!

Just right.

Just right for my two teens and dog and me. Beds were comfy. It had enough kitchenware to cook and serve a couple meals. Neighborhood was cute and quiet. And the beach! The best. Short three block walk to an accessible beach access path.

Wonderful beach cottage in a great location

The cottage was located a few blocks from the beach, a mile from the zoo and a few miles from several blueberry picking farms. It had everything we needed for a great vacation including sand toys, a kitchen full of supplies for cooking and games for downtime. The house was clean, looked exactly like the pictures and is a great price for the location and amenities!
