Once a bustling hardware store on iconic Brownsville Rd, the storefront was transformed into a multi-unit apartment in the 1970s. You'll be staying in the ground-floor unit, Apt 1-B, which occupies the back section of the former hardware store. Imagine the stories the walls could tell if they could only speak!

Soak in the unique history as you admire the tastefully decorated space, featuring large black and white photos of Pittsburghs past. Enjoy that open living space and distinct design of the apartment, and make the most of the 500 sq ft patio-balcony complete with a towering local artist commission and a BBQ.

We have been operating the building exclusively as a short-term accommodation space since 2020, and we're proud that our guests seem to have always felt safe and comfortable during their stay. This five-way intersection, where Bausman, Amanda Ave, and Hayes Ave intersect with Brownsville Road, is a charming and bustling hub of activity.

Mount Oliver has a rich history and its own distinct character. In its prime, Brownsville Road was a hub of Pittsburgh's nightlife scene, but today the neighborhood is home to a diverse population, including blue-collar workers, free-spirits and creatives. Our building is conveniently located just one block from essential stores such as Rite-Aid Pharmacy, Ace Hardware, Family Dollar, and multiple 24-hour convenience stores, making it an ideal place to live for those who want to be close to everything they need.

Located on the south side of Pittsburgh our charming 4 unit building was built in 1930. Originally a first floor retail store front with a second floor stockroom and office, the 3rd floor was the business owners personal apartment. In the early 1970s the building was remodeled and became a 4 unit apartment complex.

Perched on historic Brownsville Road the building has enjoyed a front row seat to almost a century of Pittsburgh history.
