Cute home with lots of charm

Older home with lots of character. Everything you need is provided. Neighborhood is older but quiet and friendly. Owners are accessible via the app and respond very quickly. Highly recommend if you’re visiting St Louis.

Front door lock does not lock from inside had to go out side door in order to lock front ( not end of world just annoying) ( I also did not contact as we arrived very late) New to Vrbo so not sure how communication is but asked for a call only got text hard to communicate when driving

Amazing Time

We enjoyed our stay, the beds were comfortable and the appartment had everything we needed. Cleanliness overall was ok but not horrible. There was a seltzer in the fridge that looked like it has been there for a few weeks, and dishes that was never put up from the dish washer. None of those things took away from the amazing stay we had. Host was amazing and responded fast. If we come back to St. Louis we would stay here again.

Basic basic

I just want to start by saying we arrived late in the evening. I’d let the host know at booking we would be late. When we got in, we noticed that in spite of paying a fee for an “extra person,” there were only 4 towels & 2 washcloths. And then we realized the microwave didn’t work. The host responded quickly to my message to let him know. I said next day attention would be fine. Well, when we got back from our day out, the microwave still didn’t work and there were not any additional towels/washcloths. There were no hand towels or kitchen towels. Towels are also not huge- more like you would find poolside at a hotel. Only 4 forks in the kitchen. No baking dishes, so bring your own if you plan to actually cook. I missed it in the listing, but there is no dining area. It is a good basic place to sleep. Close to lots of places in the city.

Disappointing

This is a second floor walk-up with parking behind in the alley. We arrived after dark and there were no instructions on how to enter the property from the alley. So me, four children and all of our stuff migrated around the block to the front door. The front door was difficult to unlock and the blinds at the door were broken and unwelcoming. Since we arrived late we made our beds and went to sleep. The next morning I discovered that although shampoo, conditioner and coffee was "provided", we did not have any shampoo and the coffee only made two pots. Completely aware that there were 5 of us staying 3 nights, we only had 3 forks!! Looking for forks, I discovered that the dishes in the dishwasher were still dirty from the previous tenants! After further investigation, it was because the dishwasher did not work. I texted the owner and let them know that I needed more forks, shampoo, and more coffee (since surely they were coming to bring forks). I also told them the dishwasher wasn't working. After I received a question on whether the dishwasher was plugged in and detailed instructions on how to load and start a dishwasher, I sent a video of me pushing nonresponsive buttons. There was no promise of rectifying any of this but I assumed they would bring forks. NOPE!! We were gone both days and nothing was brought. I sent a sarcastic text thanking them for responding so diligently the second evening and they responded, "You're very welcome. Let us know if you need anything else!"
