Amazing

I almost don't want to leave a review so that this place will stay the hidden gem that it is. The pictures don't do it justice and the hosts have really poured their love into making this a stay to remember.

The views were spectacular and the interior of the house was very clean and well-equipped, there were important issues:‱Spa: The manual states that the spa/jacuzzi can be used, so we came prepared. We opened the cover. It was disgusting. There was about 5 inches of water with floating debris, a dead rodent, dirt, and rust. Someone must have known this; we were not told.‱Security: On our first night, we discovered that the back sliding doors could not be locked. A piece of framing (leaning against the outside wall) is missing. One can lock the doors, but then simply move them to one side and open the screen doors. We had to put wood blocks along the slider rails to secure the door.‱Privacy: There is no privacy in the Master bedroom, except within the small space of the toilet. Shades would give people the option of no privacy vs privacy for showering, dressing, and/or sleeping.‱Cigarette butts in the front fire pit and trash in containers/pots in the back made us wonder about the exterior upkeep.Maybe the place was not inspected between rentals, though, as stated, the interior was very clean.

Family Retreat

My adult sons & I get together every quarter for the weekend to bond & catch up. These weekends are the highlight of my year as there is no greater joy than seeing my babies. My partner and his son normally attend with me as they did for this trip. Needless to say, we’ve stayed in a lot of homes & this was by far the most beautiful. We got off to a bit of a rocky start but only because the cleaning crew accidentally put the house binder in a hard see bookshelf. The owners were immediately responsive though and set us right. The grounds are stunning, the beds were dreamy, and the kitchen was my chef son’s dream kitchen (he cooked the entire weekend). Despite not claiming to be, the home is incredibly accessible. Not one step in the entire place. As a disabled person, I did need assistance getting in & out of the tub, but that’s just FYI. OVERALL: 10/10
