Stunning Views

The property is located just South of the Romantic District. The views are spectacular with panoramic views of the whole bay. The property is very clean and comfortable with all the amenities that one would need. The pool and deck are oustanding. Sun arrives on the deck by 12 pm. The owners respond within minutes to any questions. Outstanding property and oustanding host. Thank you.

Great Escape

This home holds a special place in our hearts. We first stayed here with our son about 8 years ago. This time was a little different as he is now in college in Italy. We come to PVR at least two times a year and we have stayed MANY different places but I could never get this home out of my mind. I always thought I could find something similar but have never been able to. When you walk in there is a sense of tranquility and you are immediately at ease. The home has everything you need and is clean and well maintained. We literally sat outside and stared at the beautiful bay all day. It is a quick bus or can ride into town if you don’t want to stay at the condo all day. Do not hesitate to book this place.

Paradise on hill

The Villa was very nice especially the view and the private heated pool. Uber was convenient. We had a very relaxing wonderful vacation. Keep in mind not handicap friendly. Stairs and hill was a challenge for us old folks

A small piece of paradise

What a wonderful place to spend time in Puerto Vallarta. The house is amazing and has everything you need for a great stay. The pool is so inviting the beds comfortable and as everyone else has mentioned the view is spectacular especially the evening sunsets. If you don't do anything else during your stay make sure you have Cecy cook at least one meal for you. She is superb and we had enough for two days. If you plan to cook you may want to go to the grocery store on the way from the airport as there are no grocery stores close by. Sit back and relax and be mesmerized by the view.

This property was terrific. We enjoyed our stay and had many conveniences. The view is spectacular. We hired their cook, and she was terrific. Made our experience exceptional. Highly recommend this place. The host communicates well. Oh, and they stock 5-gallon bottled water, which was much appreciated.

Paradise

We enjoyed every part of our stay. Communication with the owners was prompt and accurate. The pictures do not do justice to the views from the patio, they are absolutely spectacular! The pool was clean and well maintained and we used it every day. The villa itself was clean and well taken care of. The kitchen is well appointed, although the knives are fairly dull. To be fair, I haven’t ever stayed in a rental with sharp knives! I work in the restaurant industry and am overly critical of knives. We highly recommend hiring Cecy to come cook for you. She does an amazing job and you will not regret it. Gaby and Adan, who are house and pool attendants are a delight. We loved the fact the location of the villa is slightly removed from the bustle of the city. It’s close enough for convenient travel, but just far enough away to relax and hear the waves crashing on the beach. We used Uber for most of our trips into town. It was very convenient to be able to schedule a pickup for a specific time and most trips were less than US$9. In summation, we enjoyed our entire experience here and highly recommended it.

Simply Incredible!!!

This is my second time at this very villa. My wife's first. I was just nine or ten the first time and I am now 51. It's a time capsule. The villa is absolutely beautiful. The views are insane. Words nor pictures can do this villa and its location justice. The villa is beyond comfortable. The air conditioning is perfect. Like I said the location and the condition of the villa are fantastic. Jay and Sandy the owners are great to deal with. They answered every single question we had without delay. The food in Vallarta is truly really great. If your a fan of seafood you have to eat at 8 Tostadas. Its a must. Night time tacos out in the streets are all pretty good too. But we did make a mistake. We had Cecy cook for us in the Villa one time. The mistake was that we should have asked her to have cooked for us more because her food was better than any food we had out during our stay. I am Mexican myself and being from Guadalajara I can honestly tell you that Cecy cooked as good as my mom and grandmother. If you want a "real" Mexican food experience have Cecy cook for you. Also, the Villa was super spotless in cleanliness and I dont think I have ever swam in a cleaner more sparkling pool in my life. And we have a pool at home! All I can say is you cannot go wrong in staying at this Villa.

Beautiful views and location

Jay and Sandy are very communicative and responsive. This property is Mexican charm in a bottle. If you come here expecting a modern resort this may not be for you. However if you want to experience a clean property with views to die for and a personal pool we recommend. We recommend a car but you could easily not need one. We took the bus into town often and appreciated the car for hikes and other adventures. If you enjoy living a bit more like a local like we do this would be a great place for you. Beds were comfy too! Thank you Jay and Sandy!!!

A home away from home

I highly recommend this place! It has a beautiful view all around the house. You wake up to the sunrise, and end your night with the sunset. The staff Adan, there where very attentive, and very kind.You even get a delicious cooked dinner prepared by the staff for only $35. Everything that you need for your stay is at this home.

Roach Issue - Owner Won't Refund Our Money!!!!

The owners, John and Sandra, refuse to refund a large amount for unused rental days resulting from an early departure that John had agreed to refund us the morning we left their Villa. Asking us to wait until he received his money from VRBO so he could mail us a check, he then turned on us. We know now you should only request refunds from VRBO. He cited his contract terms and VRBO rules as to why he had no legal obligation to refund our money once he had received it from VRBO. These owners have no integrity and were downright disrespectful by not honoring their word on 11/4/19. After 8 weeks of reaching out to VRBO (who finally admitted that their hands were tied after calling him on 3 occasions on our behalf to try to force him to refund our funds) and emailing John, he only offered a 50% reimbursement. Why they would expect us to accept only 50% of what was rightly owed to us and that he had verbally agreed to reimburse us is simply unfathomable. He would never have accepted such a proposition. Please heed this warning and think twice before you do business with these people in such a beautiful City that is filled with warm, genuine, kind and hard-working people. In the end, he may have kept our money but we brought back memories of a City with amazing people, wonderful landscapes, rich music and amazing food! We can only hope that in this world today, deception and fraud will be overcome by the humble and noble. Respectfully submitted, Debbie

Excellent Villa with exceptional views

Loved the house decor and design for the panoramic views throughout. The staff was great and able to deal with questions or to fix things as needed. Had best of both worlds. Private house, but also the feel of a hotel, with staff to answer questions, clean, and deal with any maintenance issues. The grill with the house gas line was great for the quality meat and low prices on Rib Eye in Vallarta. The beach and restaurant across the street at Garza Blanca was very nice also, with lunch time kids meals. The other beach near by, Palmares, was a more crowded public beach, but it also had beautiful green clear water. We had a great 10 days at the Villa. I've been to Vallarta a lot. There are thousands of places with nice ocean views. This is one of the best 360 views that you can get of Vallarta. Loved it!

Amazing!!!

This place was the perfect place for my family to enjoy PVR. So close to beautiful beaches, a quick ride to town and Mismaloya, and I even found some jungle trails nearby to run on. My kids enjoyed the pool immensely. And we played cards and games on the deck nightly with the most incredible views. I am sad to be leaving but will definitely come back.

Romantic AND Fun Experience of Puerta Vallarta

My husband and I returned home from PV yesterday and I wanted to hurry and write this review while the experience was still fresh in my mind! We stayed at the Villa for 5 days and had the time of our lives! We were there in mid-October and the weather was about 95 degrees and humid so be prepared, but don't let that stop you. The house has a good layout and AC so temps can be managed. There is no need to repeat what the other reviews have mentioned. Everything they have said was our experience as well. :-) The Villa is located outside of Old Puerta Vallarta along a row of large hotels. It's outside of city-life so it helped to rent a jeep. We found Miles at PVCoolrentals.com near the north end of the Malecon. Traveling between the Villa, OldPV and south towards Boca is on cobblestone, rough roads (many BIG speedbumps!), dirt roads, and some steep hills. We found ourselves going in to Old PV for breakfast and shopping, as well as going to the Malecon pretty often. Taking the bus was OK, but driving was better. More flexibility for both travelling and exploring. Be warned that driving through the town is aggressive, but the drivers are also good-natured. There is no honking or disrespect given, but boldness on your part is also needed. Going south, we went to Boca and took a water taxi with Ernestso ("The Mariposa"). He's a good-hearted kid. He took us to Yelapa (peaceful beach, calm) for lunch. On our way there, he took us to Los Arcos for snorkeling and boating among the boulders that make up Los Arcos and on the way back, took us to another location (?) for more snorkeling. "Boca" means "mouth"; it's where the river meets the ocean. Interesting to see. Back to the house...The pool was great! It's small, however it's about 5' deep which gives you room to have lot's of fun in the pool with, or without the floating toys! We left them there for the next guests, with the hand pump! We spent so much time in the pools just kickin' it on the floaties and watching the ocean! Being able to take a dip whenever you wanted to was a big reason for us coming here, and it was wonderful. The morning view from the master bedroom is breathtaking and being able to see the ocean while you shower is unbelievable! Finally, we wish to thank Sandy and Jay. Sandy was very responsive and sincere in all our communication before and during our stay. Thanks from Will & Angel! Enjoy YOUR stay...

Genuine Spanish decor, beautiful ocean view, very clean, but had some difficulty with function.

We were not pleased with this property—although the views were great. Finding it on the hill was almost impossible--had to get out and walk to find it. We didn’t know where to park—we eventually parked around the corner next to another unit. There was a super loud Mexican band that played at full volume (with loud singing) across the road until 3:30 am –we had to sleep in the secondary bedroom as a result. There was no TV service when we arrived

the property manager brought over a box so we could use the TV as advertised. We tried to wash clothes/towels but the dryer didn’t work. The property manager finally took our wet clothes and dried them. The unit was supposed to be freshened on Sunday, but no one showed up until Monday & we were leaving Tuesday morning. It felt like we were always dealing with property-related issues during our brief stay—that’s not what we went on vacation to do.

THE PERFECT VACATION...our new home away from home!!!

From the moment we arrived at the property, we knew this was such a special place. Just a short ride outside the city, the Villa is located at an elevation that allows for the most breathtaking views of the entire bay and skyline! SUNSETS ARE NOTHING LESS THAN STUNNING!!! We found ourselves addicted to the private pool, views and the relaxation of the terrace and spent many of the hottest hours of midday enjoying the amazing pool and scenery. My partner and I travel often and even lived for a year in Hawaii, but this Villa is now our most favorite destination and we definitely plan to return! Sandy is incredible with communication and coordinating anything needed. Adan and Gaby are just great and will cater to your every need. Such a special evening was provided for us by Marilu as she prepared dinner for us in the Villa, including Chiles Rellenos and Chicken Enchiladas with several Salsas and Guacamole. The meal was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and Marilu is just a lovely lady and so sweet! We were having such a great time we just had to extend our stay for three additional nights which Sandy so graciously made happen with no effort on our part at all. We enjoyed shopping and cooking meals in the perfectly appointed kitchen and serving food on the beautiful Talavera dinnerware that Sandy designed herself and had made especially for the Villa! The entire space is beautifully designed and decorated making it feel like a home, not just a rental. We thank her so much for her hospitality in hosting us at this perfect Villa and making our vacation one of the best we have ever taken!!! Many thanks and we hope to return next year!!! We are so grateful to Sandy and Jay for opening their beautiful hillside villa to us over the 4th July holiday. From ever so helpful, pre-stay email communications to the last (alas!) dip in the pristine pool overlooking the entire bay, everything went smoothly. "An easy vacation," to quote our daughter. "Easy" thanks to our hosts who shared their driver, their cook, and their housecleaner with us. Tony the driver picked us up at the airport and helped us choose essential groceries along the way; we also made arrangements with him to (reluctantly) take us back to the airport. Marilu the cook prepared a few delicious, homey meals chosen from an emailed list of options. I enjoy cooking at home, but do crave periodic breaks, so this was definitely a highlight for me! Marilu’s sauces tasted so yummy and it was a treat to be waited on in the privacy of the villa. Gaby the housecleaner was friendly and discreetly efficient. "Easy" because the local beach was a short walk from the villa and afforded relaxing dips and swims in bathtub temperature water (just leave the pelicans alone, should they land near you!) The waters were calm and we loved floating in them and taking in the beauty of the tropical hillside vegetation in the background. The combination of mountains and ocean definitely enhances the landscape. At the villa the view from each window is breathtaking, be it the lush hills or the sweeping bay and ocean vistas both north and south. And the sunsets! And the bird calls! "Easy" was the living as the villa was well appointed and well designed in terms of privacy for each of the couples in our party. We could have stayed in our private paradise the whole time, but did enjoy two delicious dinners in town and a day of scuba near Mismaloya, both easily reachable by taxi. A home away from home, truly! We'll be back, hopefully in the not so distant future.

Can't wait to return

As returning guests to El Campo Del Mar, we decided on a late spring vacation this year. Longer days, quite beaches and calm waters were a bonus to our trip. We loved the new patio lounge chairs as we spent quality time relaxing poolside taking in the expansive view of the bay watching the gorgeous sunsets, stars and fireworks.

We live in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy a change in season from our local winters. The tropical climate, wonderful warm people, diverse activities of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas, warm waters of the Pacific Ocean and Banderas Bay and add Garza Blanca...well, Sandy and I have found our slice of paradise.

Our family has been vacationing in Puerto Vallarta since 1986. We have had the pleasure of knowing Garza Blanca through our many stays as guests and when the villa of our choice became available, we took the appropriate steps to secure it.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Undoubtedly the best view of the bay, we love dining on the patio enjoying fresh fish and shrimp on the grill lingering until dark to watch the nightly fireworks. We enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace observing the many varieties of birds in the river valley jungle. Whale watching in season and the passing dolphins delight our guests as they watch the cruise ships enter the harbor from the ocean through the bay and view the smaller boats passing from the harbor south to the beaches of Mismaloya and Yelapa.
