Perfect Location!

This Villa is in the perfect location! The room was just enough for two people. We had access to a full kitchen and had plenty of towels and toiletries for the entire stay!! The Villa has everything we needed! We will definitely stay there again.

Great little place

This is a great location. The two pools and beach access are nice and the space is very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and were close to a friend’s wedding. I didn’t spend much time on the lanai because we were too busy but that might feel a little noisy for some for is proximity to the road but it’s a really great spot. We had friend who reserved ocean front but liked our beach access better.

Great facility and room

Loved the room, bed was very comfortable and facilities are first class. Two pools to choose from, great sandy beach, on site casual restaurant and buitifully maintained gardens. Full concierge service, on site general store and free coffee each morning. What more could you ask for!

Awesome Stay!

We had a fabulous time staying at this fabulous condo last week! It was clean, had a lovely kitchen and nice new bathroom, and close to everything in Kaanapali. Just loved it. The owner, Susan is very friendly and you can trust her to answer all your questions!

Great value

Great value if you are trying to get a decent place to stay with a kitchen and access to a beach. The location/property has a pool and restaurant and sits on the best beach. Sandy bottom no rocks and clear calm water. The condo location is a little walk from the beach and restaurant and pool. It isn’t easy going back and forth. Overall a great experience for the value!

Our stay in Kaanapali was wonderful. The condo had everything we needed and we felt at home. We were provided everything we needed from linens to towels to kitchenware to cutlery! A parking spot was available and the location was perfect. The grounds were clean, safe and accessible. An awesome restaurant Right on the beach that had awesome breakfast. Note: you'll need a car to enjoy all of Kaanapali if staying at this place. Also, this place might be too small for more than two adults but for a couple, it's perfect!

Great place to stay in Maui

Loved the place, it looked so remodeled. The floor tiles and bathroom is very nice. The kitchen was fully equipped, we used the crock-pot~very convenient! It was so nice having beach towels, beach chairs and an ice chest to use during our visit. Loved all the woodwork and decor. We also liked the restaurant on the resort~ Castaways, it is right on the water to watch sunsets PERFECT! Also the place was conveniently located in walking distance to Black Rock for great snorkeling, we saw turtles and lots of fish. We would stay their again and recommend to others.

This was our first visit to Hawaii and we've had a wonderful vacation

We came to Maui for a wedding and a vacation. It all went so wonderfully well. We have really enjoyed our time here. The owner, Susan, has been very pleasant and easy to deal with. This little affordable condo has been great for us. It's well stocked and comfortable for two people. The Murphy bed design gives lots of space when the bed is in the wall. We didn't spend a lot of time in the condo as lots to see and do outside. The deck is not big enough for entertaining a group but when we came home at night we enjoyed sitting outside with a drink and catching up on news from home. BBQ pits are nearby as well as the laundry. All is well in KMV. Debbie and Kevin from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Hard to say what I loved more, the condo or the owners!!!

This condo is very clean, well equipped and was perfect for my stay. The kitchen was a great bonus, and as others have commented, the shower is awesome. It's also lovely that there are two sliding doors on opposite sides of the room, so you could enjoy a refreshing cross breeze. To be honest, I didn't spend alot of time on the property grounds because my family was at a resort down the road, but what I saw was very nice and well maintained, and the staff in the lobby for checkin were incredibly friendly and full of helpful information. There is no view of the ocean from the unit, but that is more than made up for by the affordability of the unit, and the walk to the beach is probably 2 - 3 minutes, the pool is even less. But, what will keep me coming back more than all that is the wonderful owners. Susan and Troy are so helpful, kind and generous, and you actually have the feeling that they are sharing their home with you. I experienced a little bit of a crisis right before my trip, and Susan - well she reminded me that there are still some incredibly decent people in this world!! I'll never forget this experience. - Oh! and Maui was great too!!!!

Lovely Maui Visit

A lovely way to end our three-island Hawaii visit with our 12 yr old granddaughter in this excellent, well-cared for unit. We have spent time on the islands before, so this trip was for her. She was introduced to snorkeling on Oahu and loved it, so was happy snorkeling on Maui every day, either from the beach at this property or after driving north a bit, we think to Kahana, a delightful beach park. And ending up in the lovely pool on our resort property. The kitchen is very complete, and we were tired of restaurant meals, (altho we did eat waterfront in Lahaina), so we did a bit of cooking. We also had a takeout salad from the on-site restaurant, whose menu looked good. My husband and I slept on the pull-down Murphy bed and our granddaughter slept on the futon without laying it flat. I don't believe there was room to lay it flat but it was plenty roomy for her. It is a second floor unit, no elevator, and is a very short walk to the pool and ocean. It was a thrifty way to enjoy this nice resort. We all enjoyed our time here. The owner emailed good directions to find the resort and provided thoughtful touches like a small cooler chest for beach trips.

Favorite Maui get-away, just right for single or couple

I will definitely stay here again. Best Maui vacation spot in North Kaanapali. Low rise, low key relaxation and best beach location in the area. The owner's Susan and Troy happen to arrive on the property just as I was texting an inquiry about the safe in the unit (which I didn't end up using anyway). Their timing was perfect for resupplying the unit with a new cooler, new beach chairs, new pillows and a few days later a beautiful new couch was delivered. The unit is cleverly designed for comfort and has plenty of room for two people with the Murphy bed up or down. There is a wrap-around porch and two sliders on opposite sides of the room (provides a nice cross-breeze) in addition to the entry door. The kitchen is very well furnished with all the cooking utinsels, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crockpot and dishes needed for cooking in. If you don't feel like cooking in, the beachfront Castaway Cafe on-site serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails (with gluten free options) and the food is quite good. There is a grocery store in walking distance (I would suggest driving if you are doing major provisioning), and several restaurants that are walkable (we walked to dinner and took an Uber back). Maui Kaanapali Villas is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, poolside and beachside. Whale watching from the beach and bar and the owners are the best. Mahalo!

Perfect Condo on Maui

I booked this condo for a friend of mine that was traveling alone for 3 days prior to meeting with her family for a wedding on Maui. I spent many hours re-searching different locations for accomodation and I will only book if there are previous reviews. From the first email I sent as an inquiry on this unit I was impressed. All my emails were answered promptly by the owner Susan and she answered all my questions and gave me direction for tours in the area as well as shuttle information. What impressed me was you could check into this unit any time of the day. I have rented in other areas of the country and have been limited to the hours to check in. I booked SpeediShuttle for my friend for return transportation from airport to condo and she mentioned the service was outstanding. As for the condo, she said there was nothing else that she could have wanted. The unit was clean and well kept and the location was perfect. 2 minute walk to the pool and 3 minute walk to the beach. Drinks and breakfast at the poolside bar were fabulous. She spent time walking along the beach and mentioned the staff were very friendly and able to help immediatly with any question she had. She said the unit would be big enough for up to 3 guests. Thanks again Susan for your outstanding service!

Fantastic Unit with Everything You're Looking For, Amazing Location and Value

I stayed here with my girlfriend for an unplanned, last minute, three day weekend in March 2013. We booked our stay just two days before and Susan was very accommodating, easy to communicate with, and gave us a great deal. The condo is on a really gorgeous mixed condo/hotel resort property. The unit is perfect for two people, with a plush, comfy murphy bed, well finished bathroom, huge open stone shower, wrap-around balcony on 3 sides, and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed every minute in it relaxing, cooking, napping, and using it as beach HQ. We felt like we had everything we needed, despite having only traveled with small backpacks. Beautiful grounds, impeccable landscaping, 2 well designed pools, friendly, helpful resort staff (the restaurant's just OK). Just steps to the picturesque, uncrowded, long sandy beach just on the north side of Blackrock. We spent 2 whole days out there swimming, walking, looking across to Lana'i and Kaho'olawe, and watching endless whales breaching nonstop as close as 100 yards (you could hear them vocalizing underwater, amazing!). You're also just steps to all that Kaanapali has to offer, easily walkable or the resort is on the free trolley route. All told, this was the best experience. No one else on VRBO beside Susan could meet our quick turnaround time for booking. We had already committed to go, and were looking at having to camp or pay $350+/night at a hotel. Susan was friendly, helpful, and gave us this wonderful, cozy, private escape in the best location for a great price. Seriously grateful. Highly recommended!

Perfect location, everything you need

This was a great experience for our wedding/honeymoon trip to Maui. The condo was small but perfect for myself and my husband to call home for two weeks. It had a nicely stocked kitchen. Full sized fridge. The Murphy Bed was surprisingly comfortable. The shower was amazing!! The rain shower head was the perfect end to long travel days and outdoor adventures. The condo was supplied with everything you need for your trip. Even had beach chairs and a boogie board. We left new backpack Tommy Bahama chairs and an umbrella that was gifted to us. The location was wonderful. Ka’anapali beach is the best. The beach boardwalk was awesome for our morning strolls. MKV is centrally located to whalers village and the Fairway shops and an easy walk. Although there was also a free trolley that was convenient to use. This Is only a two story resort but it has been nicely updated but also keeps the small complex feel. Nice pool area. Minimal walk to the beach. We did not have a beach view but it was not necessary as we spent little time in the condo. Sleeping and meals really. Troy & Susan were very helpful with our reservation. Susan even attempted to find additional accommodations for us when we added on additional days. She also gave us a late check out since our flight was later in the evening. Check in and out was smooth. The attached restaurant, Castaways, has a wonderful Aloha hour and the best views. Whales were all over and could be viewed from beach. Highly recommend this locations for this condo for two people. We will be going back!!!

Nice condo

We spent 5 days on the island in Susan's condo and I have to agree the place is nice, updated and comfortable. Very clean. It is also bigger than I expected, it's the size of a hotel room (plus kitchen!), but half the price. The resort is small, so even though the condo is at the opposite end of the beach and main pool, it's still a very short walk away (3-5 minutes, walking with a lazy 3yo). While I disagree that Maui is a good island for toddlers (waves are too dangerous even for small size adults, everything you want to do is long car rides away), the MKV resort is nice and well kept. The pool is really nice and having the kids's pool attached lets adults enjoy some swimming while the little ones are safe and happy. Susan replied to all my emails very fast and was nice to deal with. Several thinks to keep in mind: Not so good notes: - Remember to pack shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and other shower products you might want. The resort provides only crapy ( I mean that) soap bars. We got there at night and we were a little disappointed we can't take a proper shower after a very long trip. The shower does have nice pressure and a good shower head. - The condo is near a very busy highway(separated by a small parking area and a row of palm trees), so if you are a light sleeper that might be a problem (not for us, we live in the downtown of a big city). The lanai is shaped like a L with the longer side parallel to the highway, so the time spent on the lanai is not very relaxing. I tried some light reading in the afternoons my kid needed a nap, but it wasn't very pleasant. - Keep some extra time for the airport. For such a small one, the waiting is ridiculous. Maybe we were just unlucky, but dropping off the car took 45 minutes and security lines another 45. - Maui is EXPENSIVE. Seriously. Regular food is 30% more expensive than organic food on mainland. - E-v-e-r-y t-h-i-n-g m-o-v-e-s a-t a s-n-a-i-l's p-a-c-e. Nice things around: - If you travel with kids the Royal Lahaina luau is amazing. 5 min walking distance, cheap and VERY nice show. The whole time spent in Maui our toddler asked to go to the party again. Food is good too, no 5 star restaurant, but everybody who has kids knows it's best not to have white table cloth and fancy glasses :) - Trolley to Whaler's village. It's open, so you can feel the nice breeze, it's free (tip is appreciated) the ride is short and pleasant. Some drivers are very friendly.

Great Homebase

The unit was very clean and pleasant. The property manager was easy to reach and communicated with us about quick repair of small maintenance issues. The beach access was a little far but very nice. We did a lot of site seeing and driving around so didnt spend much time in the unit since it was a bit of a trek from a lot of the attractions and food stops we wanted to visit but we were glad to come back to a comfortable spot at the end of the day. It was nice to have the full kitchen as well.
