Wonderful stay at Palm View!

This condo was perfect for us! Two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs which was the perfect set up for the two of us! The condo is very clean and well looked after. It has a spacious and very well equipped kitchen and large sitting and dining area. Very nice, private outdoor patio as well. Paola and Sunil were wonderful hosts and just a text away to answer any of our questions. The condo is a short walk to the beach with beautiful sunsets and lots of great restaurants. We hope to return some day! Thank you so much for a great holiday!

Three Wonderful Weeks at Palm View

We couldn’t have chosen a better property for our vacation. Everything is exactly as detailed on the listing, and it was very comfortable for two couples. We particularly enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the grill and the outdoor space. The communication from Paola and Sunil before our arrival put us at ease and they were very gracious in accommodating our flight disruption. Since we like to cook for ourselves, Sunil’s tour and shopping expedition was very much appreciated, especially since it was our first time staying in Barbados. The dinner he made for us was a wonderful treat, and a nice opportunity to chat as well. We had a good time at Agrofest, a suggestion from Sunil that we wouldn’t have attended otherwise. The beach down the road is lovely, as is the boardwalk, but we spent a lot of time at Pebbles, again at Sunil’s suggestion. We found it easy to get around on the buses. Thank you, Paola and Sunil. We’d love to return!

Great stay, well equipped, excellent responsive organized host, best experience we had on HomeAway

We have been using VRBO/HomeAway for number of years for dozens of trips. This was hands down one of the best experiences we had to-date. Sunil is very responsive and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. He took us grocery shopping and little tour of the area to get us acquainted with the surroundings. He is a wealth of information and useful trips (best beaches, fish market, attractions, local shops, car rental etc). Thanks to his information we were able to avoid the regular tourist traps and save significant amount of $$. He prepared a three course dinner for us one evening in the condo. His culinary skills match those of the professional chefs in some of the top Barbados restaurants. The red snapper was out-of-this-world both in presentation and taste. The condo itself is well appointed and very comfortable with all the necessities provided exactly as advertised. Barbados paradise

My husband and I rented this property in Jan and Feb 2020 (Two months in paradise) The property looks just like the pictures. The large gourmet kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen in a rental. Everything worked well, including the propane BBQ. Sunil is an exceptional host. He drove us around the day after we arrived so we could stock up on supplies and he showed us the best places to shop. He also prepared an incredible meal for us and our guests. We had guests staying with us a few times during the two months and there was plenty of room. With two good-size bedrooms and two full bathrooms we all had plenty of privacy. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms were quiet and worked very well. We walked almost everywhere and became very familiar with the bus system but I recommend going on an organized excursion so you can see the entire island. The North Point and the west side of the island are magnificent but you can’t get there by bus. It takes only eight minutes to walk to Accra beach and the famous Boardwalk but the sidewalks are treacherous and the traffic can be heavy at times. It made me nervous initially but I became accustomed to it. The drivers are very courteous. If you plan to walk at night bring a flashlight so you can illuminate the uneven terrain. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The grocery store is a bit of a walk so we usually took a taxi back. You can rent a car if you want to get around more easily but you can manage without a car if you like to walk. We had a marvelous time and I highly recommend this property.

Barbados Living Close to Everything

We stayed at Paola's and Sunil's place for 3 months while we were living and working in Barbados. The place was perfect for our needs: two bedrooms with air conditioning, a sizable dining table and living area, an outdoor patio with a grill and full-sized kitchen with a number of thoughtful touches. It is on a busy street, yet still very walkable to the beach (~5-10min), restaurants/bars (5-30min, depending what you are looking ,for), grocery store (~20min) and more. Definitely a great place to stay for a couple or two to spend some time exploring the island at a reasonable price. We would stay again!

We had a terrific stay.

The condo is terrific. Great location and well-appointed. About a 10-minute walk to Accra Beach, which is one of our favourites. The kitchen is very functional and we had everything we need to self-cater. The condo is set back from the road a little and is quiet at night. We will definitely be back.

The property was Very clean!

The property was very clean and spacious as pictured. The hosts showed us true “southern hospitality”! đŸ€— On day 1 We received a tour of the must see& must go places; the best beaches to visit and a trip to the local vendors market and then the grocery store to stock up. Our sons where close in age and made fast friends so on Day 2 we all went out for a day at Pebbles beach! My only suggestion is to add AC to the 1st floor instead of just the sleeping rooms (but perhaps this is standard for Barbados) Although the open doors and windows brought lots of great breezes it did become uncomfortably hot at times for “people of a certain age” 😉 Overall it was a very peaceful and pleasant home. . We thank our hosts for being so attentive during our stay.

Vacation in Barbados

We would like to thank Sunil and Paola for our amazing stay in their condo. They made arrangements for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, Sunil took us to the market in Bridgetown and showed us some beaches and the supermarket and was always available to answer any questions. The best meal we had was cooked by Sunil at the condo...thank you so much. There were four adults staying in the condo and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was spotless. We loved the outdoor space! We would highly recommend this condo to anybody thinking about going to Barbados! Thank you

Charming cozy condo near to the Accra Beach

Sunil was on hand when we arrived to ensure all was well. There were 2 cold local beers (Banks), cheese, crackers, bread, eggs and a gallon of chilled water in the fridge to soothe two weary travelers who had flown in from California. The following day he picked us up and gave us a quick tour of the area and took us to the local fish market and supermarket to stock our refrigerator. The 2 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms, and open floor living room/kitchen/dining was very clean, charmingly decorated and comfortable. The well stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare breakfast and lunches. Sunil thrilled us by coming over one evening with fresh ingredients and cooking a dinner he prepared in the kitchen. He was available to provide information on transportation, recommendations on restaurants and sites of interest. The condo is located near Rockley Beach and a few good restaurants. The remaining areas were visited by taxi services. Walking through the neighborhood took courage due to the narrow streets, limited available sidewalks and speeding cars. This did not seem to deter the locals, only faint of heart visitors like us. We had a wonderful vacation with plenty of fresh fish, good local beer and rum and the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Bajan people. We will be back to enjoy the accommodations and see more of Barbados.

Great Place with Great People!

Barbados is such a great and easy island to visit and Sunil and Paola are such friendly and wonderful hosts! Our trip to their place last week was very relaxing and fun. We stayed at this property for a week and absolutely loved it. The property was just as described. It was clean, quiet, and nearby to everything we needed. Sunil and Paola were kind and gracious hosts. We loved meeting their family for dinner. They are wonderful chefs. It was arguably the best meal we had while staying on the island. Accra beach was a short walk from the place, as were several great restaurants. We recommend Shakers and Tiki Bar. Both were great! The convenient location makes it a quick taxi ride to get to many of the destinations, including St. Lawrence Gap, Boatyard, and Oistins. Check-in and check-out were hassle free, and Sunil was available throughout our entire stay for any questions that we had. Thank you Sunial and Paola for sharing your wonderful condo with us!

Excellent 2 bedroom house with super host.

We stayed here January 2019, The owners are just perfect. The pre trip communication was spot on & was very helpful. The house is really nice, exactly as it says & ideal for 2 couples or 1 family of 4 with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The owner offers so much information & made our trip just amazing with what he advised us to do. Shakers restaurant & the breakfast cafe pretty much next door were fab. Lovely beach for early morning swim is only 5 mins walk. The owner even cooked us a superb meal. I can recommend this house 100%. Loved Barbados & we will be back staying here again,. Mike

Great place in Barbados

We spent a wonderful 18 days in January at Palm View in Barbados. As we decided not to rent a car, the house is very well situated. There are beaches, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Sunil was a great help and ensured that we knew how to get around, use the bus system and where the nearest supermarket was. He gave us a great tour and we even stopped at the fish market and butcher to pick up supplies. We settled in very quickly and truly enjoyed our time in Barbados. We tried many of the restaurants or grilled our supper on the patio after a day at the beach or a day exploring. This certainly won't be our last visit to Barbados or to Palm View!

Great visit to a lovely island

The owners were very attentive including providing information about local attractions, providing transportation when needed and were immediatly responsive to any questions that were asked. The home cooked welcoming 4 course meal was a real plus. The two bedroom, two bath condo was recently renovated and was tastefully done. Fully furnished without being cluttered. All of the comforts of home in a quiet residential area. Wifi code available. Patio with grill. Fully equipped kitchen. Easy walking distance to Accra Beach and there is a bus stop right outside of the door for greater island exploration. Would be happy to stay here again. Several great breakfast and dinner places close by.

Comfortable townhouse and wonderful hosts!

We had a fantastic time during our stay on the south coast. The townhouse was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a nice patio in the back. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in walking distance to the beautiful Accra beach - there are no sidewalks in some place unfortunately but the cars always made room for us and even stopped to let us cross. There are lots of little shops and restaurants in walking distance as well so it was no problem to stay there without a car. We especially loved the boardwalk along the coast and also the nearby farmers market in Hastings. But the best thing about this rental are the owners! Paola and Sunil are such warm, wonderful people and they welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for an unforgettable stay in Barbados.

Loved it! Definitely will be back at same location

We stayed at Sanil’s condo from March 19-March 29, 2017 and loved every minute of it The home was great, clean, fancy enough for us, and had a great ocean close by with quick access to the beach, home well equipped with all necessity including BBQ on the patio, WiFi was good and reliable, air condition working and all other extra “staff” was available at home as described on the webside. Home is close to the beach, restaurant’s, wine store, bus stop. Sanil arranged taxi from and back to airport, took grocery shopping, fish market, tour around town, arranged car rental. Sanil is very quick to respond via text or phone, in addition Sanil was checking daily via phone or text to make sure that we are having good time and that we have no problem’s or if there is anything that we require Sanil to assist. Sanil has made several recommendations regarding restaurant’s to go and trips to take. Sanil is amazing cook (made three course dinner one evening) which was amazing. Daily walk to the beach was short and fun (interacting with monkey’s, farm animals (chicken, goat’s) -suggestion: to have camera ready! No problems with bugs or mosquitos. We had memorable experience with our first visit to Barbados and we highly recommend this property with friendly host like Sanil, definitely will be back at same location

An excellent place to stay in Barbados

We very much enjoyed our 9 day stay at this property. We appreciated the large, well equipped kitchen and the gas BBQ on the back patio. The owner of the condo, Sunil, was kind enough to give us on a tour, take us to the grocery store, fish market and local butcher. We prepared many of our own meals and ate them on the nice outdoor patio. The wifi was good and the air conditioning, which we didn't use much, worked well. The closest beach, Rockley, is one of the nicest on the island. Within walking distance are also several good restaurants, a connivence and a wine store. It was also easy to take the bus to Bridgetown, Oistens, St Lawrence Gap and Holetown. When booking and while staying on the island , Sunil was always quick to reply to questions and was very helpful. He is a very good host. This was our first trip to Barbados and we will definitely be back to this beautiful and friendly island.

Very nice, quiet and clean.

We really enjoyed our time here! In particular my wife and I spent a lot of time on the private patio just enjoying the nice Caribbean breeze. The condo is well situated within easy walking distance to restaurants and sandy beaches. The place is exactly as described on the website. Paola and Sunil are very nice and easy to like. Sunil drove us to the grocery store our first full day in Barbados. Then the following week he took us into Bridgetown to the farmers market! And he would occasionally check in with us via text to see that we were doing ok. Oh and he's a really good cook too! Food Recommendations: Seems like everything is expensive in Barbados but we found a nice place with reasonable priced food at the Lanterns Mall. It's about a 15 minutes walk. Walk to the main road and then turn right and it's about 2 blocks away. Chutneys for roti and curry and Tedoro's for flying fish and breadfruit! Yum! Shakers restaurant is less than 5 minutes walk away and their food is good! Loved their blackened kingfish with grilled potatoes. Just down Dayrelle's road ( before the main road) is Country House Cafe. We loved their crab cakes, quiche and soups! Also try their sorrel drink and golden apple juice! (Yes that's a fruit!) Champers about a 20 minutes walk from condo, is an expensive restaurant but well worth the money for a special occasion or one night to celebrate before returning home! Service is very good! Just Grilling in Holetown was very nice. The staff and manager were very friendly and the food was good. Groceries: Massey stores was where we did our big grocery shopping. But Quayside Mall (turn left at main road) has a decent convenience store and so does Lantern Mall. Barbadians: without a doubt the friendly, helpful people of Barbados is the 'cherry on top'! We will definitely be returning! Transit: recommend you use the ZR's/ mini buses or yellow buses or Govt buses depending on where you're going. We took a bus to Holetown - nice for a day visit. And ZRs pretty much everywhere else because they run more frequently as you'll soon learn. We want to Oistins on a Monday to avoid the crowd that's there on Friday. Go if you must and if you do be sure to head over to the Pier/Jetty and if you're lucky you'll see turtles! Walking: there are no sidewalk per se but walk down Dayrelles road and cross over to the beach. There is a boardwalk along the beach that we enjoyed walking on everyday! A nice snorkelling spot at the end of boardwalk.

Home away from home

The property is ideally located in a quiet location a short walk from rockley beach in walking distance of many great restaurants and bars for sundowners. The property was comfortable and had more than everything we needed for a good stay. The property is kept in excellent condition and we had no problems with bugs or mosquitos. The hosts were fantastic and available for questions throughout stay, even taking us to the supermarket on the first day and the meal that was cooked for us by Sunil was phenomenal and catered for our every need. We loved our stay there and will definitely be returning

Great location, comfortable and inviting!

The Hastings condo location is very convenient. Very close to Accra beach by car , 2 minutes or even by foot, 5-10 minutes.Easy access to Bridgetown and a straight run to oistins. Massey store was also just a few minutes away and many places to eat. ( Bubba's right on the corner). Paola and Sunil were great to work with. There were a few hitches with the Internet at first and Sunil came right over to fix it immediately. He also cooked us a lovely Sunday meal of fresh local fish with herbs ,it was delicious. The condo came equip with some basic food stuff so we didn't have to run right out in order to cook breakfast. Also had all utensils needed to cook with.The location is very safe and there is also a security code to access the condo. Cable tv and local phone were used frequently. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, top notch!
