The perfect rental. Let me say upfront we have stayed here multiple times. We rent all over the world, sometimes its good, sometimes great and sometimes it's horrifying. Why is this one great; first the owners, nicest people you will ever meet. The kind of people that leave a bottle of wine welcoming you and drop off clams they dug for your dinner (They call first).
2nd on my list LOCATION. If you have ever been to the cape in the summer you know traffic is a nightmare and finding whatever is you need from a blow-up raft (By the way they have these for your use in the garage) to food. This house is 1 mile or less from everything. The best grocery store, the lobster pound, yes even the blow-up raft emporium. You are close to route 6. The beach is 2 min walk down the road you are on. There is a dock you can keep a small boat, you can dig clams right there, its a beautiful spot. On July 4th and many other summer dates when all the beaches are full and you have to wait in line hours to get in you can simply avoid all of that and use the beach 2 min down the road. How great is that!
3rd on my list is the house itself. You know when you get to a new rental its filled with all someone else's stuff, like nicknacks and things you can't use. The walls are a horrible color, the furniture looks worn and stained, THIS HOUSE HAS NONE OF THAT. Its clean, tastefully done, smells good and has only the stuff you need, like the lobster pot, the BBQ, a blender, a full set of glasses and dishes. Every little detail down to the toilet paper is there. If you are reading this and think that's normal, this is likely your first time renting and you should read reviews before booking anywhere (Seriously).
The layout of the house is 4th on my list. The layout is perfect. The main house is there with 3 bedrooms and the bathrooms are awesome including a jacuzzi tub. There are two living rooms both with TV's, one we use for adults one for the kids. They both work well with a full complement of channels like you have at home not the paired down version they normally give renters. I had no problem hooking up the PlayStation as well. One living room also can be closed off to make a bedroom if needed. One also has a fireplace. The kitchen is a good size, well stocked and the fridge is immaculate. There is also a table in there to use. The dining room can hold a lot of people and has a great view of the deck with 8 person table and more seating around. Great House!
