My third stay at this property. We like it because the variety of bed sizes and sleeping areas. Also where it’s proximity to Shepherdstown. Couldn’t be more convenient. The house it really is set up for relaxing and just chilling. Lots of indoor seating set up for long pleasant conversations, and outdoor seating also. The host is wonderful and incredibly skilled at communicating exactly what is needed. Checking out here is a breeze. I’ve never experienced and ease of checking out like at this very nice property.

A Great Weekend Getaway!

This house is located in the center of town, and walkable to many places, or a short drive away. The owner was helpful before and during our stay. We look forward to returning for another visit soon. This was a great place to stay during the Contemporary American Theater Festival.

Amy made the whole process easy and efficient. The house was quiet, clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Close to restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking onsite.

Wonderful Shepherdstown stay

We stayed here to attend the Contemporary American Theater Festival. The house is very comfortable with lots of room and a well set-up kitchen. Terrific location - walking distance to everything in the center of Shepherdstown and to Shepherd University. Great communication with the owner.

Good option for exploring the charming town

We enjoyed being in town and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The house is very large and can accommodate a good size group. Amy is a friendly and helpful host. We found the house to have a bit of an awkward layout and rather dark except for the front bedroom and living area. Our sense is that the kitchen and bathrooms could use updating

Girls Weekend in Shepherdstown

Amy’s place was lovely. It was very clean and had everything we needed - I thought it looked even better than the pictures on VRBO. Amy was very responsive and easy to communicate with; Shepherdstown is adorable and close to lots of historic attractions and hiking trails in the area. Perfect place for some time away from the city!

Great location to visit Shepherdstown

We came back to Shepherdstown to dine and visit the record store. Everything we wanted to do was within a five minute walk. The Press Room across the street is a little gem of a restaurant. The Thai place next door was a delightful surprise. The shrimp pad thai was top notch! The house was well appointed and comfortable. When not out roaming, we were able to relax and recharge.

Very nice!

This house is lovely! Lots of room, very clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Our group of six friends had plenty of space. Location is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, historical interests. The owner responds to questions very quickly. We would highly recommend and hope to return soon!

Great location for the CATF theater festival

This is our 2nd year at the Yeasley House while attending the annual Contemporary American Theater Festival. It is a great location to enjoy the festival and Shepardstown. This year there were 4 of us. There was plenty of room to be together and privacy if you want to be alone. The house is well equipped and very clean

Historic Hidaway

We love Shepherdstown and were happy to find a home there to stay during the holidays. The house is charming and surprisingly well maintained and equipped. Large spacious rooms with comfortable beds, laundry room, separate heat control for each floor. We had everything we needed and were more than comfortable. Our host was easy to deal with and accommodating of all our needs and requests, including allowing us an early check-in to decorate for the holidays. We'll keep this one on our list of places to return to and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming location to visit and a warm and welcoming place to stay.

We purchased the Michael Yeasley House and they guesthouse you will be staying in because of the historic nature of the home. The main house was built in 1795. The guesthouse was build in 2004 and has all of the modern conveniences. The main-house fronts onto German Street, which is the main drag. All of the town's amenities are just a short stroll away.
