Location, Location, Location .... bara drygt en timme från DC och Baltimore, Our Cosy Home handlar om en 5 minuters promenad till de vackra floderna Shenandoah och Potomac. Cirka 5 minuters promenad till Appalacian Trail och Harpers Ferry historiska centrum. Nära till många lokala vingårdar och bryggerier! Om bergen, floderna och vandring inte är tillräckligt med spänning; Charles Towns Hollywood Casino ligger mindre än en tio minuters bilresa bort !!

Hem Funktioner 2 möblerade sovrum med ett badrum som är fäst vid varje. Även ett halvt badrum utanför foajén. Stort vardagsrum, uteplats och tak på 9 fot. Bra boende för romantisk tillflyktsort, eller familjer, par, kajakpaddlare, vandrare, cykling, historia buffs eller någon som älskar vacker utsikt, mycket att göra och underbart landskap. Har en öppen spis; men för närvarande inte i bruk på grund av försäkringsskäl. GRATIS WIFI.
Mitt hem kommer att sova 4 personer bekvämt: en drottning i varje sovrum. Vi kan också tillhandahålla en Queen Air-madrass som kan användas i LR nedervåningen för att sova ytterligare ett par eller barn.

Köket är fullt utrustat (grytor / kokkärl / disk) och innehåller även små apparater fyllda med kryddor, papper etc.

Huset är nymålade, nya mattor, keramiska plattor i kök, diskmaskin, tvättmaskin och torktumlare och andra tillmötesgående funktioner.

Marc-tåget till Washington DC Union Station ligger bara några minuters bilresa bort. Charles Town Racing och Hollywood Casinos och All Major shopping ingår Walmart är 10 minuters bilresa.

Short notice

We planned our trip last minute and the property owners were very quick getting back to us. We pulled our travel trailer w/ us and they were nice enough to let us park it at their farm. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and close to all the happenings. When we are back in the area we will definitely be booking here! Thanks for everything guys!

Described accurately, to a "T."

Beautifully set in the mountains a stone's throw away from Historic Harper's Ferry, this 2 bedroomm 2 1/2 bath is the perfect getaway with all the trimmings in the surrounding area, theres a casino, shopping, Historic area, bars and restaurants; thetsalso peace and quiet... couldn't ask for any better and the owner/manger is very responsive... I give 5 stars...

Great place and very convenient to Harper's Ferry

The house was spacious and we were able to easily fit 6 people. The host was flexible and able to make some last minute accommodations for our stay.

Great Location

Quick to downtown, “The Barn” right around the corner was a great spot. Easy access to main highways to hop over to other towns and wineries in the area.

Great stay

Duplex is exactly as advertised. Nice, clean, and nice safe area. River rafting is within a mile. Harpers ferry lower town is a mile hike on Appalachian Trail. I would stay again if in the area.

The location is great....easy to get to everything we needed to get to. The property needs a good deep cleaning....the carpet was dirty, found crumbs under and behind the kitchen counter appliances, the dishwasher needs a good cleaning on the inside, the fridge and freezer were dirty, all the portable fans were full of dust, the fans in the bathrooms were full of dust, the patio needs to be pressure washed as it was covered in dirt, the handrail on the stairs was sticky, the yard needs heavy maintenance/landscaping...if the owner is using a lawn service and a cleaning service he needs to change to new companies as they are not doing their job. If the cleaning and landscaping were corrected this would be a perfect getaway. We generally do not leave this type of review but we think perhaps the owner is not aware that these things need attention.

Snow tubing and hiking

Great location for our kids and animal friends to enjoy harpers ferry. We enjoyed snow tubing and hiking. Definitely recommend for families!

Friends getaway

House was perfect for our stay. Very clean and tidy. Fresh flowers were a nice addition. Host got back to us quickly with answers to our questions. Nice location close to tubing, wineries and the historic attractions

Great Location

The home was great for our group of 6. It was also close to many of the local attractions. About a 5 minute drive to the main town and 10 minutes from tubing and the local brewery.

Great weekend getaway

This property was in a perfect location, convenient to lower HF, trails, the national park, breweries and restaurants. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the owner supplied towels, coffee, toilet paper, etc. The neighborhood was quiet as well. A great overall stay.

Very pretty area, a little tricky since the roads near the residence are really only for one car. We have a big pick up so we were very careful coming and going.

Overall a good stay

The house needs a little TLC but served it’s purpose for us. For folks with mobility issues that have a dog be aware the backyard is on a steep incline. The two master bedrooms with baths was a real plus. The kitchen was well appointed with gadgets and there were plenty of bath towels.

My friend and I were looking so forward to visiting the area of Harper’s Ferry, but quickly disappointed as soon as we walked into the house we rented for two nights. The owner appears to not have much contact with the cleaning staff and it appears that no recent upgrades have been made. Walls the need painted, vents that had thick dust on them, table fans that were full of dust! Even a roach scurrying down the stairs. Needless to say, we won’t be going back. It could be a beautiful home with some upgrades, landscaping and just a good old fashioned cleaning!

Not as expected but happy the owner was obliging.

Reviews that led me to select this property were that it was very clean had a great location and had good amenities. The cleanliness as not at all the case this time and it was just not as the pictures showed. It seemed rather dingy, some things in disrepair, on top of not being clean. I will say that I AM pleased that the owner was at least accommodating and understanding and did give a partial refund. I hate to give a negative review but feel it’s owed to others to know.

Not well maintained property close to downtown Harpers Ferry

We were very disappointed in the house. It was dirty - crumbs on dining room table, sink was obviously not cleaned, and the refrigerator was disgusting. The very small and closed in patio was overrun with weeds. We had to clean the glasses before using them. The trashcan outside was full. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ok, and there was ample space in the house. But it is an arduous treck into downtown because of hills, so I thought it was misleading to advertise its accessibility by foot. There is no view from the house but the area is pretty and there are some nice restaurants.

Like’s: close to nearby adventures, casino and Harpers Ferry town. Dislikes: dirty, I had to soak the tub with Chlorox because it had so much dirt stucked to it. The utensil rack was yellow and red from not cleaning it. Again I soaked it with Chlorox to clean it. The fridge had left over food, again there were a lot of sticky spots in the fridge. Thick long cobwebs were hanging on the walls in the dining area and the entrance hall way. There were no toilet paper, and hand towels. The place itself is ok, only if the house cleaning person will really clean the house. Warren was pleasant to talk to and easy to reach when I got lost.

I bought this house in 2015 as a Home away from Home. I use it to get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax. Gorgeous views, surrounded by nature, and lots to do. I love my "escape home" in Harper's Ferry, and I am sure you will too!
