Perfect Jim Thorpe getaway

I was happy to stay in the High Street Guest house apartments again! This was a different apartment than I had used last stay and everything was great. The parking is easy at the property and the house keeps you just up the street from all the shops and is a great walk to and from town! Everything was clean and upkeep was great. Thank you for having such nice properties!

Art Studio - An Artist’s Dream

We loved our stay at the cozy, creative Art Studio (Apt B), adorned with colorful art and crystal lamps and color changing crystal lights! We also greatly enjoyed the quaintness & beauty of Jim Thorpe. Jeffery was an excellent communicator, extremely responsive, and very helpful with his recommendations and tips. Thank you very much!

A Little Christmas Getaway

Both the owner and the caretaker were very responsive, helpful and kind.They thought of every detail. It was a great stay in a really interesting little apartment. Plus pet friendly. Would definitely stay there again! And they had all the Christmas decorations up in the apartment.

Impeccable stay with amazing hosts.

Perfect location. Walked many times with my dog to downtown in less than 10 minutes. Very clean space, comfortable bed, and quiet neighborhood. Slept great! Felt like a home away from home.

Beautiful property

Cozy, clean, and enjoyable little apartment! Steps away from historic Jim Thorpe but on a quiet street secluded from the action. Property manager is super helpful and communicative. And an amazing landscaped natural area cut into the mountain for any guest to enjoy with fire pits and seating areas.

Cute efficiency apartment - plenty of room for the two of us. Loved the artwork/decor. Jeffrey sent lots of info ahead of time as far as things to see and do. Innkeeper Chad very friendly and helpful with suggestions as well and was available on a dime. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful place to stay when visiting Jim Thorpe

For our first visit to Jim Thorpe we decided to spend the night and make it a mini vacation. I found this listing and the description was exactly what we wanted. I had been warned that parking can be challenging to find, and this little gem just happened to come with an assigned parking spot next to the house. The apartment is located on the ground floor and was a perfect efficiency unit complete with unique artwork throughout. There is a large bathroom with a walk in shower. The soft towels, soap and included shampoo and conditioner were a plus. A comfy queen bed faces a wall of local artwork. Amethyst lamps and lighting between walls/rooms add a different look than what you’d get in a hotel. The host provides an extensive list of places to visit and dine at including contact numbers, websites and hours of operation which was wonderful since we had no idea where to begin our visit. Be prepared to do a bit of walking as that is a simple way to tour the town. It is “hilly” and if you’re up to an interesting walk start at the train station and walk up High Street to the apartment. From there you can see over the homes and buildings of the town. If you love 1800’s architecture you will be amazed at the buildings nestled right against the mountains. We will definitely visit this quaint village again and recommend this host to our friends.

Great find, great communication!

This is a well maintained and appointed property in the perfect location. It is one street above the “busy” main street that goes through Jim Thorpe, so you don’t have traffic fuss and noise. There is ample private green space and outdoor seating areas for your use. Parking is safe and secure, although if you are only in town a few days, there really is no need to use your vehicle at all if you are capable of walking. I’m 60+ with no mobility issues so walking the short distance to shops, restaurants, and entertainment was no issue. It was wonderful to observe the architecture while walking, but be aware that sidewalks in town are often narrow and uneven. Communication with Jeffrey was extremely easy! He was accessible and answered inquiries almost instantly and gave so much information about activities, eateries, etc. so planning where to go was a breeze. Chad lived nearby and was available if you should need anything during your stay. He also had a wealth of information about the surrounding area and readily shared information with us. The property was clean and spacious for me and my adult grandniece. The towels and linens were big, fluffy and smelled very nice:) The kitchen is set up with coffee, teas, sugar, and creamer. The full size fridge was clean and had welcome waters. I would easily stay here again with my husband if I return to the area. It is a wonderful property in a great location and offers everything you need in a laid-back manner with peaceful vibes.

What a wonderful location. Just a short walk to downtown. We enjoyed checking out all the shops and restaurants. A beautiful little town. The Carriage House was the perfect place to stay.

Adorable and Convenient

If you want a clean place to stay, definitely consider this property. It is absolutely adorable and is all that is described. It's comfy and cozy, with just the right conveniences. The fenced-in outside area is perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. We were absolutely delighted with the place. Not having to worry about packing linens or towels was a huge plus, too! We planned on having all our lunches and dinners out, so when we first booked, I was concerned about walking downtown so many times, but I quickly learned what a delightful 5-minute stroll it was; and it afforded us the opportunity to chat with some of the hometown folk along the way. If you visit Jim Thorpe, definitely make a stop at the Marion Hose Bar & Grill, Donerds Donuts, Ma's Crepes & Cakes, the Myst Hibachi & Sushi Pub, Molly Maquires, Nomad Distilling Co, and the Jim Thorpe Olive Oil Co. I highly recommend this property and we hope to return in the future. Jeffrey and Chad are wonderful to deal with and are available to answer all your questions or to attend to any of your needs.

Such a cool spot

This is an amazing place to stay in Jim Thorpe. Communication is great and the check in/ check out process is so simple and smooth. The location is perfect. The unit was extremely clean and filled with an array of artwork that truly made it feel like you were dropping in to an artist's studio. The private outdoor patio was a perfect spot to lounge after dinner. I can't say enough great things about this place! We will be back.

I am drawn to Jim Thorpe and to the Pocono's in general and am very glad to live in this amazing town surrounded by the ever changing Appalachian landscape. You cannot beat the endless miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, or the tubing, kayaking, skirmish, yoga, skiing, rivers, lakes, and fishing or the cultural and historical attractions. So close to the major east coast cities, yet worlds away!
