Alpenhaus ligger i natursköna Avery County, avskilt men ändå nära till stan, ligger på över 4000 ft. Huset har 2 slutna däck och är omgiven av skog på 3 sidor. Vakna upp till gröna träd utanför ditt sovrumsfönster eller titta på soluppgången reflekterade på bergen. Håll utkik efter rävar när du äter frukost på söderläge däck. Under hösten, titta på bladen ändras från grönt till toner av rött och guld. Njut av en golfrunda på Mountain Glen Golf Club eller ta en kort bilresa till Grandfather Mountain eller Linville Falls, kör längs Blue Ridge Parkway eller vandra eller forsränning, se stalagtites på Linville Caverns och sedan komma tillbaka för att uppskatta solnedgången från vardagsrum fönster. På vintern, njuta av en dag av skidåkning eller pulka på närliggande Beech Mountain eller Sugar Mountain. Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing ligger också i närheten. My husband and I loved it. The road getting there is very narrow, but the driveway was easy to get in and out of. It was very clean. The view was spectacular. I sat with my coffee looking at the mountains. I would stay here again.

Beautiful and accommodating

A lovely home inside and out. Very roomy, comfortable and clean. Bonus: going up and down the outside stairs to the door or taking a little walk down the road was good exercise! Great communication from hosts. Would love to visit again in the future!

Nice quiet location above newland

Nice location everything worked as it should there is enclosed deck on the upper level and an open deck below. We did not spend a lot of time at the unit since we are out doing other things.

Love this house!

Our stay was very accommodating and comfortable! Beautiful new bathroom! Plenty of room and privacy. The view of the mountains was astonishing. We would love to return when it is warmer. The property owner was very helpful in answering our questions before arriving and met us when we arrived.

Well-appointed cozy Great mountain View

The treehouse cottage is minutes from downtown Newland. We love the nearby Cranberry Café! My mother and I found that this was like a tardis, bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside! Not for those with weak knees

Lovely cabin with great views

Landlords were wonderful. Cabin was very cute. Very clean and neat. Fabulous views. Only downside was the road to the cabin is steep.

Cozy and well appointed mountain cabin

We had an amazing time. The cabinets, secluded and cozy and has everything you need for a short or long stay. The host was great about communication and helpful tips and information. Can’t wait to go back.

Very relaxing and serene

My wife and I rented this house for two days because we were going to the Wizard of Oz festival at Beech bottom. This house is very cozy, quaint, and quiet. We absolutely loved the fact it was secluded with a wonderful view of the mountains. The property manager sent us directions, but we were able to find it using Google maps. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Stay in Vintage Home

If you're looking to stay in a house that reminds you of your grandmother's, this is the place for you. It's comforting and very classically vintage. Everything was clean and nothing was misrepresented. The views from the house were beautiful and it was very nice to watch the sunsets.

Quaint little comfortable cabin

The cabin was very clean, comfortable & well appointed although it could use some updating. The view & location were spectacular; close to town but very quiet & private. The stairs, which is the only entrance into the cabin, are super steep and quite difficult to maneuver especially with a larger dog or a person with mobility issues. I was thankful my elderly parents weren't with us due to this. The gas fireplace was on when we arrived, which was nice, but we were unable to get it to work for the duration of our stay. Perhaps, we were doing something wrong though, so not sure. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. The owner was great at communicating & overall, we enjoyed our stay at Alpenhaus.

Comfortable, Simple, Quiet, Amazing Views

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Wonderfully surprised by snow! Icy morning made for a difficult drive up the mountain, but no complaints by us. Home was warm and inviting. Communication with the owners was easy. The decor was a blast from the past. The home has been well cared for. Would stay here again.

Great place with great views

We enjoyed our stay here! The house was very clean and cozy. The views are beautiful inside and outside of the home. The hostess was wonderful from directions to the house to quickly responding to any of our questions. She was beyond accommodating with all our needs. We will be back again. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving Retreat

What a quaint, relaxing place hidden in the hills of Newland! Located near local attractions & tree farms, this vacation rental will be a place our family returns and our friends will all hear about. Private mountain side getaway

Our stay was incredible, centrally located about 15-20 minutes from Linville falls and caverns, close to Boone and banner elk. As described, definitely felt like home away from home. We went in late October, the view of the scenery was beautiful from our living room window. The host was very helpful in giving directions as gps only takes you so far. Definitely would need 4wheel drive if it was very wet or snowing, our 2 wheel drive SUV tires spun a little during the rain going up to the property. Very quiet and peaceful stay

The Blue Ridge Mountains are a magical place to live. This house is right in the woods and has many windows so you seem to be outside even when you are in. There are many different birds, and a family of foxes. The cool evening mountain air is just the thing after a warm summer day.

Avery County is centrally located so you can be in Blowing Rock or Boone in 30 miniutes or less or venture further to Black Mountain or Asheville.
