Great location, walking distance to many places to eat and the convention center. The apartment was very reasonably priced. The first day we didn’t realize we had no hot water until we tried to wash up at 9:00 pm. Grand Welcome answered my message very quickly that night and resolved the problem the next day while we were at the convention center. We had other friends staying in an apartment in the brick building next door, another plus for the location.

Good location. Close to north street and convenience store so sometimes at night would be loud. Could use a refresh for paint on the walls.

Great location. Had a repair issue while we were there and management was quick to address issues. A checkout time of 11 would be nice as 10am comes rather quickly, but that’s really my only complaint.

This place was incredibly run down with damage to walls, cabinets, and floors. The floors were coming up in many places so walking on them you felt huge air gaps. They were very dirty - not a place for bare feet. There was no hot water. The kitchen cutlery contained only one spoon. Overall, a very disappointing experience that left me feeling unrested and dirty.

Property was in a great location for what we needed, close to OSU campus for swim sectionals. Only issue we had was with the noise and paper thin walls. Uncork all we didn’t get much needed sleep, just be aware if you need something quiet. The liquor store across the street has parties in the street at all hours. Property also needs much needed work done to it, very beat up, not completely as pictures show. But as stated, perfect location

We had a wonderful stay! Great location, being steps away from all the Short North has to offer. The unit met all of our needs with washer/dryer, 2 separate bedrooms with king size beds, full kitchen (with free coffee), great wi-fi, hot showers, free parking, quick access to freeways, and more. Highly recommend

Close to everything

The house is close to everything. Walkable to shops, restaurants, etc. It’s an older home, but they’ve done a nice job remodeling. We had an issue with the air conditioning, but the property manager handled it very quickly.

Pictures were definitely dated!! House was not clean! Air conditioner had no “AC” switch, had to contact property manager to send someone to fix AC. Turns out the entire thermostat had to be replaced. Then no hot water to take showers. Had to contact property manager again who tried to “explain” how to turn faucet for heating!! Maintenance guy was sent out and he found the hot water heater was turned off. Had spiders everywhere in the house. Run down property and was extremely dissatisfied.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m very sorry to hear your stay did not meet expectations. For the AC and hot water concerns, our maintenance team did attend the property on the first night and was able to resolve both the thermostat and water heater issues. That said, I completely understand the inconvenience this caused before everything was corrected, and I apologize for the disruption. We also take your comments about cleanliness and spiders seriously and will have the property professionally inspected and treated to address this properly. We hope we get a chance to host you again and provide a better experience. Safe travels for now!

Short Walk From the Convention Center

We were in town for a veterinary conference. the walk was 10 mins. We had a small hiccup when checking in. The door code had not been changed to match my reservation, I called the host and they relayed a backup code for us to use for our stay. The place was roomy for a few friends or a small family. I didn't care for the mattresses, they were too hard for me but my friend said she liked them. My other friend slept on the couch and his only complaint was across the street is a 24hr convenient store that had commotion outside every night. The surrounding area had lots of restraunts, store fronts and night life. There were no other issues during our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would stay here in the future

The positives: The house was very clean. The appliances and fixtures were relatively new. The bed was comfortable. Overall, the stay was fine. The negatives: The area does have some issues with crime (which is to be expected in a city), but as a woman staying by myself, I didn’t feel particularly safe. The doors were old and the locks were not particularly sturdy. I actually considered moving to a hotel, especially after there was a fight across the street at the convenience store and the police were called in the middle of the night. Some other issues were cosmetic - sheets were used instead of curtains, the outside looked run down, it was a bit dark, and paint was worn and chipped. It just wasn’t what I expected based on pictures in the listing.

Great, overall

I booked this stay for my husband and teen daughters while our older daughter attended a weeklong program at OSU. They found the property to be clean and well represented by the photos, although there were a few minor corners that had a few ants, but they didn’t appear to be invading the space or anything. One strange thing to note was that all 3 people staying reported a strange knocking on the doors that they couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. It was such a prominent knocking that my husband and one of our kids said they told whoever it was to “come in”, only to find out there was no one there. Very creepy, but they don’t get spooked easily, so just didn’t really think much about it. The 2 biggest complaints were: 1) the A/C was not very efficient at cooling the space, especially in the bedrooms, so it was pretty hot as it was about 95 degrees outside. And 2) the shower was very small and my husband and kids are on the tall/bigger side, so it wasn’t very comfortable.Otherwise, they said the beds were very comfortable, overall the space was clean, and it was close to everything they needed. I’d say it was a great deal for the price and how convenient it was.
