Welcome to the Simon Michael Art Studio .. now coastal cottage once owned by the esteemed artist Simon Michael, affectionately known as the Grandfather of the Rockport Art Colony nestled in the heart of Rockport, Texas.

Sleeping accommodation for a maximum of 4 guests with 1 King size bed in the open loft (not private) and 1 Queen size Murphy bed in the downstairs living room.

A complete kitchen for your cooking enjoyment. Along with all of the standard kitchen appliances and supplies this kitchen also has an Air Fryer, Kuerig and Drip Coffee Pot. The owner also provides coffee pods, ground coffee, tea bags, creams, sugers, bottled water and a welcome snack basket.

Private Backyard with access to the patio complete with outdoor furniture, and a gas BBQ grill. 4 person hot tub.

A deck upstairs off the bedroom for you to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

The driveway is long enough to accommodate your boat and truck.

Fast Internet speed to work at your own dedicated desk space.

This coastal cottage is yours to enjoy in it's entirety.

The origins of this charming old art studio date to the times of Simon Michael, who worked at this property during his career. Known as the Grandfather of the Art Colony inspired the Art culture of Rockport. Most of his original works are held in private collections.

enjoyed our stay and the hot tub ... only complaint is the back yard grass needed tending to... the grass was 7-9 inches high that the mosquitoes loved .. swarmed us when we got out of hot tub ... all grass outside fence was cut .. the small area would only take 10 minutes to cut

Very beautiful and comfortable get away, certainly was better than any motel, with accommodations like home. We loved the artwork displyed on the walls and the mural. Plus reading and learning of the history of this art studio. Rockport's hummingbird festival and birding area along the gulf is a must see.

Nice stay

My kids and I had a nice stay. Only complaint is that the hot tub wouldn’t heat up. Kept it on for a few hours and it never went above 95 degrees (which was the baseline temp anyway).

Rockport vacation

We enjoyed the Rockport community and the short drive to Corpus Christi. My daughter and I were very comfortable traveling together and this rental was perfect for us! We had everything we needed.
